A Confession Almighty God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, I humbly acknowledge my manifold sins and offences against thee by thought and deed. I have neglected opportunities of good which thou in thy love gayest me. I have been overcome by temptations from which thou wast ready to guard me. I have looked unto men, and not unto thee, in doing my daily work. I have thought too little of others and too much of my own pleasure in all my plans. But thou art ever merciful and gracious to those who turn to thee. So now I come to thee as one whom thou wilt not cast out. Hear, O Lord, and have mercy. Forgive me and renew a right spirit within me, for the sake of Jesus Christ my Saviour. Amen.
