I Will Tell the Wondrous Story (#71) | Joseph C. Fisher, 1911

1 min read · Chapter 214 of 512
I am free, the Lord hath saved me, I was burdened with my sin; Then He whispered meek and lowly, “Come to me; I’ll take you in.” Refrain: Hallelujah! glory, glory! Let us sound the jubilee; I will tell the wondrous story Of the blood that cleanseth me. In His pity He redeemed me, When He saw me in my woe; Yes, He sanctified and cleansed me, And I’m whiter than the snow. Oh, the gushing springs of glory That are flooding all my heart; And the music, sweet and heav’nly, Wakes the chords in every part. Oh, the joy, no tongue can tell it! ’Tis like many flowing streams; Now I stand upon the summit, Where the golden sunlight gleams.
