106. "The Grass of the Field"
"The Grass of the Field"
(Matthew 6:30) "IF God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven ..."
Before the rains come the whole mountain sides are covered with thorns which look like grass, and the natives call it so. The women gather these thorns for fuel. In many villages it is the only fuel they have. The women place it under their "fire pot" made of day, and place on that the clay dish in which they cook their food.
