173. For those who are thwarted in their Devotional Purposes by their Relatives.

SANCTIFY, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the endeavours of Thy servants [...] who wish to give themselves to Thee. Accept their desires.

Make the way plain for them, to know in which way they may best correspond with the call of Thy grace, without violating the indications of Thy providence. Grant that the purity of their devotion may bring those who are around them to acknowledge Thy work in their hearts, and bring them all with one heart and mind to acknowledge Thy sovereignty, and strive together for the advancement of Thy kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Saviour and Redeemer. Amen.
