97. For Patience and Recovery.

Ant. Behold, for peace I had great bitterness, but Thou hast, in love to my soul, delivered it from the pit of corruption: for Thou hast cast all my sins behind Thy back. The Lord bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick.

ALMIGHTY, everliving God, Maker of manJ\. kind, Who dost correct those whom Thou dost love, and chastise every one whom Thou dost receive; We beseech Thee to have mercy npon this Thy servant visited with Thine hand, and to grant that he may take his sickness patiently, and recover his bodily health (if it be Thy gracious will); and whensoever his soul shall depart from the body, it may be without spot presented unto Thee; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
