Roman Catholic Soldier’s Conversion

1 min read · Chapter 40 of 173

A letter from a soldier who has received definite blessing is full of encouragement: “I am so glad to speak about the Saviour,” one soldier said who received a New Testament in July. “I have been saved when I read these words, ‘By whose stripes ye were healed’ (1 Peter 2:24). Healed by the stripes of Christ on the cross, the shedding of blood! As a Roman Catholic I was hoping to be saved by my works. What a deceitful way! I have to thank God that I did meet you. I shall never be without my New Testament.”
