Revelation 4

Worrell

1 After these things I saw, and, behold, a door opened in Heaven; and the first voice which I heard as of a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up hither, and I will show you the things which must take place after these." 2 Straightway I was in Spirit, and, behold, there was a throne set in Heaven, and sitting upon the throne; 3 and He Who was sitting , in appearance, like a jasper stone and a sardius; a rainbow round about the throne, in appearance, like an emerald; 4 and around the throne twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones twenty-four elders sitting, arrayed in white garments, and on their heads crowns of gold. 5 And out of the throne proceed lightnings and voices and thunderings; and seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God; 6 and before the throne, as a glassy sea like crystal; and, in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, four living creatures full of eyes before and behind. 7 And the first living creature like a lion; and the second living creature like a calf; and the third living creature having a face as of a man; and the fourth living creature like an eagle flying. 8 And the four living creatures, having each one of them six wings, are full of eyes around and within; and they have no rest, day and night, saying, “Holy! Holy! Holy! the Lord God, the Almighty, Who was, and Who is, and Who is coming!" 9 And, when the living creatures shall give glory and honor and thanksgiving to Him Who sitteth on the throneâto Him Who liveth forever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders will fall down before Him Who sitteth on the throne, and will worship Him Who liveth forever and ever, and will cast their crowns before the throne, saying, 11 “Worthy art Thou, our Lord and our God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power; because Thou didst create all things; and, because of Thy will, they were, and were created."
