Luke 6

Worrell

1 And it came to pass on a sabbath, that He was going through grainfields; and His disciples were plucking and eating the heads of grain, rubbing with hands. 2 But some of the Pharisees said, “Why are ye doing that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath?" 3 And Jesus, answering, said to them, 5 And He said to them, 6 And it came to pass on another sabbath, that He entered into the synagogue, and taught. And there was a man there, and his right hand was withered. 7 And the scribes and Pharisees were watching Him, whether He would heal on the sabbath: that they might find how to accuse Him. 8 But He knew their thoughts; and He said to the man having the withered hand, And, rising up, he stood. 9 And Jesus said to them, ?”} 10 And, looking round upon them all, He said to him, And he did so, and his hand was restored. 11 But they were filled with madness, and were conferring one with another as to what they should do to Jesus. 12 And it came to pass in those days, that He went out into the mountain to pray; and He was spending the whole night in prayer to God. 13 And when it became day, He called His disciples; and, having selected twelve from them, (whom He also called apostles): 14 Simon whom He also called Peter, and Andrew his brother; and James, and John, and Philip, and Bartholomew, 15 and Matthew, and Thomas, and James of Alphaeus, and Simon who is called Zelotes, 16 and Judas of James, and Judas Iscariot who became a betrayer; 17 and, descending with them, He stood upon a level place; and a large multitude of His disciples, and a great number of the people from all Judaea and Jerusalem, and the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, were present, who came to hear Him, and to be healed of their diseases; 18 and those troubled with unclean spirits were being healed; 19 and all the multitude were seeking to touch Him; because power was coming forth from Him, and was healing all. 20 And He, lifting up His eyes on His disciples, said, 22 , and reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the sake of the Son of Man.} 26 when all men speak well of you; for in this same manner were their fathers wont to do to the false prophets.} 30 not back.} 35 Most High; because He is kind to the unthankful and evil.} 39 And He spake also a parable to them: 40 perfected, shall be as his teacher.} 41 in your brother’s eye, but consider not the beam that in your own eye?} 42 in your brother’s eye.} 45 brings forth that which is evil; for out of the abundance of the heart does his mouth speak.}
