Psalms 1
BSA1 Blessed [happy, joyful] is the man [person, individual] who does not walk [follow, proceed] in the counsel [advice, guidance] of the wicked [morally wrong, sinful], or set foot [stand, tread] on the path [way, journey] of sinners [those who miss the mark, guilty ones], or sit [dwell, remain] in the seat [assembly, gathering] of mockers [scoffers, those who scorn]. word study 2 But his delight [pleasure, joy] is in the Law [instruction, teachings] of the LORD [Yehovah, the Lord God], and on His law [commandments, precepts] he meditates [ponders, reflects] day [daily, by day] and night [in the darkness, during rest]. word study 3 He is like a tree [planted by the rivers of water, firmly established] planted by streams of water [flowing constantly, never drying up], yielding its fruit [the product of his labor, the result of his actions] in season [at the right time, in due time], whose leaf [the expression of his faith] does not wither [lose its vitality, fade away], and who prospers [succeeds, flourishes] in all he does [everything he undertakes, all his endeavors]. word study 4 Not so [certainly not, in no way] the wicked [morally wrong, guilty of sin]! For they are like [comparable to, similar to] chaff [the loose outer covering of grain, worthless] driven off [blown away, dispersed] by the wind [a blast of air]. word study 5 Therefore [for this reason, thus] the wicked [morally wrong, ungodly] will not stand [rise, survive] in the judgment [justice], nor sinners [those who have committed a crime] in the assembly [congregation, gathering] of the righteous [just, made right with God]. word study 6 For the LORD [Yehovah, The covenant Name of God] guards [watches over, knows] the path [way of life, journey] of the righteous [just, upright ones], but the way [road, manner of action] of the wicked [morally wrong, ungodly] will perish [be destroyed, lost, come to an end]. word study
