BSA

1 Then [next, afterwards] Bildad [one of Job’s friends, meaning confusion] the Shuhite [a descendant of Shuach, from the family of Shuach] replied [answered, spoke up, and said, to dwell, to make music, or to respond] [to say, to speak, or to declare]: word study 2 “Dominion [rule, power] and awe [dread, fear] belong to God [the Supreme Ruler]; He establishes [makes, brings about] harmony [peace, completeness] in the heights [high places, lofty realms] of heaven [the sky, the spiritual realm]. word study 3 Can His troops [armies, bands of soldiers] be numbered [counted, quantified]? On whom [who, anyone] does His light [divine illumination, spiritual radiance] not [never, at no time] rise [shine, appear, come forth]? word study 4 How then can a man [human, enosh] be just [righteous, justified] before God [Elohim, the supreme Judge]? How can one born [begotten] of woman [a female] be pure [clean, without sin]? word study 5 If even the moon [does not give off light, is not radiant] does not shine [is without brightness, does not glow], and the stars [the celestial bodies, heavenly hosts] are not pure [clean, morally upright] in His sight [in His eyes, before Him], word study 6 how much less man [a human, enosh], who is but a maggot [worm], and the son [descendant] of man [Adam, the first human], who is but a worm [a deep red or crimson color]!” word study
