The Bible teaches that human identity as male and female is a fundamental aspect of God's creation, as seen in Genesis 1:27. This understanding is reinforced by various passages that affirm the distinction between male and female, such as Deuteronomy 22:5, which prohibits cross-dressing. The book of Leviticus, in 18:22, and the writings of Paul in Romans 1:24-27, also address issues related to human sexuality and warn against behaviors that violate God's design. The Psalms, in 139:13-14, celebrate the wonder of God's creation, including the formation of each person in the womb, emphasizing the value and dignity of every human life.

A woman must not wear men’s clothing, and a man must not wear women’s clothing, for whoever does these things is detestable to the LORD your God.
So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
Therefore God gave them over in the desires of their hearts to impurity for the dishonoring of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is forever worthy of praise! Amen. For this reason God gave them over to dishonorable passions. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. Likewise, the men abandoned natural relations with women and burned with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
For You formed my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are Your works, and I know this very well.
Be indebted to no one, except to one another in love. For he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. The commandments “Do not commit adultery,” “Do not murder,” “Do not steal,” “Do not covet,” and any other commandments, are summed up in this one decree: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no wrong to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are Your works, and I know this very well.
Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, even against your own brothers! Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who submit to or perform homosexual acts, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.
Marriage should be honored by all and the marriage bed kept undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.
