The Bible reveals that the world and all it contains were brought into being by a powerful and intentional Creator. According to Genesis, God spoke and creation came to be, with the first verse establishing the foundation of this truth. The apostle Paul writes in Romans that God's invisible qualities can be clearly seen in the things He has made, and in Colossians, he notes that all things were created by and for Jesus Christ. The Gospel of John also affirms that Jesus was instrumental in creation, stating that all things were made through Him, and Genesis records God's special creation of humanity in His own image.

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood from His workmanship, so that men are without excuse.
For in Him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities. All things were created through Him and for Him.
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness, to rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, and over all the earth itself and every creature that crawls upon it.”
You alone are the LORD. You created the heavens, the highest heavens with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to all things, and the host of heaven worships You.
