In times of grief, believers find comfort in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ, who said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6). The Bible teaches that those who have put their faith in Him will be reunited with their loved ones who have also trusted in Christ. However, Scripture also warns against seeking comfort in mediums or spiritists, as Leviticus 19:31 cautions, and instead encourages believers to walk in the Spirit, as described in Galatians 5:19-26. Through faith in Christ, as expressed in 1 John 4:1 and John 3:16, believers can have assurance of a heavenly reunion with their deceased loved ones.

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world.
