In biblical accounts, clouds often symbolize the presence and power of God, as well as the means by which He chooses to reveal Himself to humanity. The Gospels, such as Matthew and Mark, describe Jesus' future return on the clouds, emphasizing His divine authority and glory. The apostle Paul also references this event in 1 Thessalonians, highlighting the clouds as a gathering point for believers to meet the Lord. Additionally, the book of Job notes the wonder of God's creation, including the clouds, which demonstrate His wisdom and majesty, as seen in Job's description of their splendor and might.

At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.
“I am,” said Jesus, “and you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power and coming with the clouds of heaven.”
After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.
“You have said it yourself,” Jesus answered. “But I say to all of you, from now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of heaven.”
