Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? So if you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”
So I tell you: Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.
In that day you will no longer ask Me anything. Truly, truly, I tell you, whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you. Until now you have not asked for anything in My name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.
And this is the confidence that we have before Him: If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
and we will receive from Him whatever we ask, because we keep His commandments and do what is pleasing in His sight.
