Leading

In the Bible, the concept of "leading" encompasses both physical and spiritual dimensions. The Hebrew word often translated as "lead" is "נָהַג" (nahag), which conveys the idea of guiding or directing someone along a path (Psalm 78:72). In a spiritual context, leading often refers to God guiding His people, as seen in Psalm 23:1-3, where the Lord is depicted as a shepherd who leads His flock to green pastures and still waters, symbolizing care and provision. Moreover, the New Testament emphasizes the role of spiritual leaders within the church. For instance, in Hebrews 13:17, believers are instructed to obey their leaders, as they watch over their souls, reflecting the responsibility of leaders to guide their congregations in faith and righteousness. The concept of leading, therefore, is multifaceted, involving both divine guidance and the responsibilities of human leaders to shepherd others in their spiritual journeys.
