Conflict with the Natural Man

3 sermons

The biblical concept of conflict with the natural man refers to the inherent struggle between humanity's sinful nature and the spiritual nature imparted by God through faith in Jesus Christ. As described in Romans 8:7, the natural man is at enmity with God, whereas the spiritual man is led by the Spirit of God. According to Galatians 5:17, this conflict is ongoing, with the flesh and the Spirit being in opposition to one another, yet as Psalms 51:10 suggests, God can create a clean heart and renew a right spirit within individuals, enabling them to overcome the natural man and live a life pleasing to Him. Through this spiritual transformation, believers can experience freedom from the dominion of sin and live in accordance with God's will, as expressed in Romans 6:14.
