Sermon Transcription
Hello everyone, I'm Michael Koulianos and we're joining you right here from Orlando, Florida. God is on the move. He is doing absolutely amazing things. Who would have thought that millions and millions would gather online? Here is Michael Koulianos. We are live from Orlando. Who would have thought that thousands and thousands would gather online? You know, my dear friend Daniel Kalenda just preached about the night coming, and I know I'm going to pray for the sick here, but I want to take a moment and talk about that. I don't remember a time in my life where the world has experienced such an hour. And fear is flooding the nations. I want to read a scripture to you. It's in Hebrews chapter 2, verse 14. The scripture says, And as much then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, he himself likewise shared in the same. That through death, he might destroy him who had the power of death. That is the devil. And release those who through the fear of death, were all their lifetimes subject to bondage. The other night, Daniel and I were talking about the scripture. And you see the mastery of the Holy Spirit here. Before we go any further, let's just welcome the presence of the Spirit. Wonderful Holy Spirit. Move in power and glory. Thank you for setting the sick free. Thank you for your mercy. In Jesus' name. Amen. You know, in the book of Judges, the scripture talks about Gideon. Gideon was a man of fear. Stricken with fear due to the Amalekites and the Midianites. And God shows up in Gideon's life. He calls him a mighty man of valor. Gideon is threshing wheat in a wine press. He's doing the wrong thing. In the wrong spot. And he's stricken with fear. And so the Lord shows up. And calls him a man of valor. The Lord had to change Gideon's perspective. What was the perspective shift that needed to happen? Gideon had to discover that God was much bigger than his enemies. That was God's agenda. I am more mighty than the Midianites and the Amalekites and their sum total. I need you to see me as being bigger than that which threatens you. Now how does the Lord do this? This is incredible. The Lord tells Gideon go into their camp. Well that's the last thing I would want to do if I were Gideon. But God decides to speak to Gideon and renew his mind in the face of his greatest fear. And it's in the enemy camp that Gideon hears how the enemy views the majesty of God. And in that moment Gideon's perspective changed. All of the sudden Jesus was more mighty than all that threatened Gideon and the nations of Israel. Gideon said I am the weakest among the weakest tribe among the weakest clan. But if God is on your side and you are nothing you have everything. Catherine Kuhlman used to say Jesus if you can use a nobody take my nothing and use it. This is beautiful. And so Jesus does the same thing here in Hebrews 12. He plunders death knowing that if he destroys the fear of death he destroys every other fear in its wake. So it's as if Jesus goes from Alpha to Omega and conquers the end in perfect victory. What does that mean? You might think you're afraid of a virus. You're not afraid of the virus. You're afraid to die. Maybe you're afraid of flying. You're not afraid of flying. You're afraid to die. Maybe you don't like closed spaces. You're not afraid of the spaces. You're afraid to die. But I have news for you. Jesus conquered death. If Jesus can conquer death a virus is nothing to him. So what does this scripture teach us? That because we are flesh and blood Jesus became flesh and blood so that he would share in our experience. What did he do? Through death he destroyed him who had the power of death. And who is that? The devil. And look at verse 15. And release those who through the fear of death have been subject to bondage for their entire lives. For their entire lives. I want this to sink in. I want this to go deep. If Jesus conquered death you have nothing to fear. Nothing at all. He defeated the grave. Do you remember when the disciples said when Jesus said to the disciples our friend Lazarus sleeps? And they said if he sleeps he'll wake up, he'll be better. Finally Jesus had to deal with their whatever, you know, their simplicity. He said okay fine, he's dead. Since you don't get it, he's dead. The scriptures referring to the departure of the saints the scriptures say we sleep. We don't stay in the grave. Jesus is alive. Now in a moment I'm going to begin praying for the sick. And when I do it's imperative that you see Jesus as being much bigger than that little sickness. You know the Bible says Jesus speaking to Israel he said you'll receive no sign. You're a first generation you'll receive no sign. But only this sign you'll receive. As Jonah went into the belly of the fish so too will the son of man go into the heart of the earth. Jesus descended from the highest heights to the lowest of lows think of this humility think of this love if you're wondering if Jesus sees you right now think of what I'm about to tell you. Not only did he minister here on the surface of the earth the Bible teaches that when Jesus died on the cross that he descended into the underworld and destroyed it. That's amazing. And three days later the grave was proven to not hold life itself. Friend if Jesus can do that he can heal you right now. That should make you very happy. I want to just quickly read this scripture to you. Matthew chapter eight when he, Jesus had come down the mountain great multitudes followed him and behold a leper came and worshipped him saying Lord if you're willing you can make me clean. And then Jesus put out his hand and touched him and said I am willing be cleansed. Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. Friend I want you to notice something. Jesus touched him before he prayed. Jesus touched him before he spoke. Jesus is not threatened by your sickness. You are not repulsive to the Lord. Your brokenness does not keep him away. It's as though his hand beat his prayer. This is Jesus our loving Lord. So if you're sick in your body right now this is not complicated. This is the children's bread. He loves to heal us. Notice the leper said I know you can but I don't know if you want to. And Jesus makes it very clear. I am willing be cleansed. So right there where you are if you're sick in your body I feel the presence of the Lord. I want you to take your hand just place it there on that part of your body if you're crippled I want you to begin just moving your legs. Just try. Try. Try something. Move your arms. Just try something. If your mobility is hindered in any way right here in the presence of the Lord do something you couldn't do. Now I'm going to stretch my hands as an act of faith. My hands are not special but the Lord said we could lay hands on the sick and they shall be cured. So I stretch forth my hands. I am believing that the power of the Holy Spirit will flow into your body and you will be healed in the name of Jesus. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ the name above every name the name that shakes hell the name whom heaven honors and adores the name above every name I rebuke sickness now in Jesus' name. I rebuke every disease now in the name of Jesus. I rebuke every tumor in the name of Jesus. I rebuke every virus in the name of Jesus. I rebuke depression in Jesus' name. If somebody has something on their throat like a growth in the name of Jesus be gone now in Jesus' name. Lord, let your healing power flow from their head to their toes. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Jesus. Blind eyes open. Deaf ears open. Skin diseases be cleared in Jesus' name. A stutterer healed in the name of Jesus. Your tongue is loosed in Jesus' name. We give you all the praise. I want you to begin testing, testing your body right now. Just do something you couldn't do. I don't want you to look for your sickness. I want you to look for your healing. You did not come for prayer right now. You have tuned in to be healed and that's a big difference. So start moving. As the Lord is healing you, if you feel the power of God going through you I want you to comment. I want you to let us know. I want you to say, I've been healed of this. If you feel that you're improving, we want to know. Let us know. The Lord is precious. Thank you, Father, for all of your goodness in Jesus' name. Amen.
