Milton Green

Milton Green (1943 - 1987). American evangelist and Bible teacher born in Tennessee. Raised in a troubled home with an abusive father, he spiraled into alcoholism, drug addiction, and homelessness, suffering a major heart attack at 43 that left doctors predicting his death. Converted in 1972 after crying out to Jesus, he was miraculously healed and began studying Scripture intensely. A carpet cleaner by trade, Green preached across the U.S. from the late 1970s to 1987, often alongside James Robison and Leonard Ravenhill, focusing on repentance, holiness, and spiritual warfare. He authored The Great Falling Away Today (1986), warning against carnal Christianity, and recorded hundreds of sermons, widely shared online. Married to Joyce, a Christian who prayed for his salvation, they had no children. His teachings, emphasizing victory over sin through Christ, stirred thousands at seminars, though some criticized his focus on demonic influence. Green’s words, “God’s Word is the only standard for truth,” underscored his uncompromising style. His ministry, marked by humility, continues to influence evangelical circles globally

Sermon Transcription
You're going away you've never been before. The ark is coming through. You're not going to touch it. You're not going to hash it. You're not going to rehash it. You better leave it alone. You better follow after it. That ark's the Lord Jesus Christ. It's going across the Jordan and it's going into the promised land and it'll leave you. You will possess the land and you're going to have rest from all your enemies and you're going to be blessed. Everything you put your hands to coming and going and you will prosper and you will prove that you love the Lord with all your heart. And then with his gospel, his Jesus, his son and his spirit he'll cleanse your heart as you're approving it and he'll perfect in your love in you that loves your neighbors yourself and then you'll endure to the end. Because he's chosen you. You didn't choose him John 15 16 but he chose you that you should go and bear fruit that's the fruit of love and that this fruit would remain and then whatever you ask of the father in the name of Jesus he's going to give to you because you're walking in covenant. And then we shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. Is there any sick among you? Let them call for the elders of the church. Let them anoint them with awe and the prayer of faith and they will be restored not maybe perhaps or could be they will be restored. They will be restored. All those powers and justices taxable diseases and standards out of gold. Therefore it says now watch this in verse 16 confess your sins one to another get everything right because it's the effective prayer of righteous people that's going to avail us much and that's what we've been talking about tonight. Righteousness. We've been walking in unrighteousness. Righteousness is what's right in God's eyes. There's not about 1400 different kinds of righteous only one righteousness. It's what's right in God's eyes and that's where Jesus lead us to right walk right in God's eyes. We follow that Jesus.
