Sometimes you may feel a little alarmed that this platform will tip over. The delivery of some of these things was so late by the company, we could not do all the experimentation. But it will be interesting if it tips over and the preacher has to jump. That means we will be rid of the preachers who can't run or jump. We want preachers who run and jump. Recently when I got locked into a strange hotel in Trinidad and the time was over for no chance to catch the plane. The main gate was closed and it was a high gate and I wanted to climb it but it was rather a high gate and hard to climb. And Lily and I had to do a little bit of acrobatics. If we had fallen into that pit, it would have been bad. We had to jump over that wall. Fortunately it wasn't too high. So that's why I say preachers who can't jump or run should stay away from the platform. And other comfortable Christians should also stay away from the platform. 23rd verse. 1 Samuel 26 and 23rd verse. The Lord render to every man his righteousness and his faithfulness. Yes. The Lord renders to every man according to his righteousness and his faithfulness. For the Lord delivered you into my hand today. But I would not stretch forth my hand against the Lord's anointing. When King Saul was pursuing David, one night when Saul was sleeping, and those who guarded him were sleeping, David went across and took the king's spear. His companion said, Here, your enemy is in your hands, kill him. But David would not touch the Lord's anointing. Faithfulness. See, even at a time when Saul was seeking his life, David would not take revenge. He did not say, no, Saul is in my power. And that is trusting in God. After all, David had become the son-in-law of King Saul. And when an evil spirit had entered into Saul, the spirit of jealousy, the spirit of jealousy, then David did not seek an opportunity to wreak vengeance. The same David who had brought down Goliath, the same David who had brought down Goliath, but look at his reaction here. I will trust in the Lord. I will not say, my enemy fell into my hands and I took care of the situation. I will not say, my enemy fell into my hands and I took care of the situation. That is great faith. You know, the devil brings all kinds of thoughts into our hearts. The devil brings all kinds of thoughts into our hearts. And we become an easy prey to those thoughts from the devil. And we become an easy prey to those thoughts from the devil. See, thoughts of jealousy. Now, when I began to look at Jesus, Now, when I began to look at Jesus, It is amazing how the Lord so occupied my thoughts. My thoughts were focused on Jesus. My thoughts were focused on Jesus. So, I did not bother about what this man says, that man says. I did not look at the prosperity of this man or that man. I did not look at the prosperity of this man or that man. I looked at Jesus. And when I saw Jesus, all these thoughts were shut out. And when I saw Jesus, all these thoughts were shut out. Jealousy is something which I have never known. Why should I be jealous of somebody? Let God bless whomsoever He will. Why should I be jealous of somebody? The fact of the matter is, there are many more worthy people than me. The fact of the matter is, there are many more worthy people than me. Let God bless them. Let God use them. This world needs such people. Who am I that I should stand in the way? Who am I that I should stand in the way? No, my friends. Never give way to jealousy or to vengeance. Our whole business is to be faithful in what God has given us. Our whole business is to be faithful in what God has given us. Now, generally you will find that those who are not faithful in what God has given them are preoccupied talking about others, thinking about others, slandering others. Now, generally you will find that those who are not faithful in what God has given them are preoccupied talking about others, thinking about others, slandering others. Look, many people used to come to daddy. Look, many people used to come to daddy. Particularly after he became sixteen and so on. and earlier also. Oh Mr. Daniel, Brother Daniel, come here. We want you. Here is a new gift. The gift of tongues. You must have this. Those who don't have this gift don't have the Holy Spirit. My father said, let me be faithful to what God has given me. And God said to my father, I have given you a greater gift. Holiness. Heart holiness. Keep your heart diligent. And so, my father told those friends, let me be faithful to what God has given me. The years passed. And these very men who tried to drag my dad into this and that, they failed miserably. And they disappeared. In fact, some of them brought much shame to God. Today, with preachers using television, people can project something as the whole thing. My dear friends, and you see some miracles or something, and you say, oh, I am missing out. If I had this gift, if I had that gift, listen friends, all that God taught me was to keep a clean heart and a pure conscience. I did not run after the noble or the glamorous. I followed Jesus. Be very careful. Generally, wherever our revival touched the hearts of people, revival in our ministry touched the hearts. They proved to be faithful. You know friends, they were offered money, they were offered things, but they were not deflected. They stayed faithful. Just imagine what happens when you are faithful to the Lord. Do not think that I have lived a charmed life. Sometimes my interpreters are in great trouble because English phrases cannot be translated. Charmed life means almost a magical life that is charmed, that is amazing. Not at all. I had to go through the trials. I had to go through the temptations. And to boot, there was my natural foolishness. That was there to contend with also. But to be faithful, you know faithfulness is not in the heart of man. See, when God blesses us with Beulah Gardens, let me tell you this. If you had given my father this garden, he loved the fields, he loved these gardens where he would go and pray half through the night as a student. And I was a city boy. All I had was a little terrace on the top of the house. But my prayer would be heard right across on the other block, the next street. The Lord taught me to be faithful. I noticed that there is a certain grumbling among some of our Bible students. Some of them think, oh, we must know so much about the Bible. Let me tell you this. So many chapters in the Bible I learnt by heart. I have studied it. I know whole passages. But I am very ignorant. Sixty years I have preached God's word. But I am very ignorant. I am learning, learning, learning. If you are humble, God will use you. If you have a grumbling spirit, God will discard you. I don't know if there are any grumblers here. But I have never grumbled at the ways of my Lord. I have said, my father knows, my father sees. My father knows about running mad, running here, talking this, talking that. That is the work of the devil. My father knows. That is not the way of faith. Let us turn to Psalm 92. It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord. And to sing praises unto your name, O Most High. To show forth your loving kindness in the morning, and your faithfulness every night. Yes, your loving kindness in the morning, and your faithfulness every night. Our God is faithful. That is a divine quality. But that quality He puts into you. It is an alien quality to the human heart. And it is a very foreign soil to that quality, the heart. Faithfulness. The Lord has given me this light. Oh, I must carry it to distant places. Today, Indians are to be found in so many places. I don't think I have been in any place where there are no Indians. Indians are to be found in so many places. I don't think I have been in any place where there are no Indians. In the days of the Communists, when I went to preach in a clandestine preaching in Communist East Germany, I saw some Indians there. And I was amazed. You know, pests grow quickly. Sometimes, Indians are like pests. Wherever they go, they take their idols. They take their pickles. And they take their glum faces. They take their dishonesty. So, I don't see Indians running for the gospel. I don't see Indians running for the gospel. There is some motive. There is no faithfulness to the Lord. That is why I am not happy to see them, you know, in other countries. I say, these fellows are running just for money. Where are the winning souls? Now, we see a few of our boys and girls I said, a few. Catching a heavenly vision. And being faithful to the heavenly vision. Oh, I praise God. But, that heathen heart. That old idolatrous heart. It can't stay away from running after some idol. When you go to the West, Well, you know, it's materialism. Everybody knows that. Buying that, buying things which you don't even need. Bringing it home. And feeling lazy and, I have no time to open this package. Leaving the package in some storage. But, not being able to resist this acquisitiveness. Well, that soon, the people that go to the West learn that also. Their house is cluttered with things. I don't like anything which I cannot use. I like to give it away or throw it away. But, many people are not able to overcome materialism. So, they move from one idol to another idol. So, they move from one idol to another idol. That's all. I know that India has the greatest amount of gold today. It's in your ears, in your nose, around your neck. Don't you feel it's heavy? Don't you feel it's heavy, bending you like this? Is that why some of you can't walk straight? Is that why some of you can't walk straight? Your gold is too heavy. Let's turn to 119 and verse 75. Let's turn to 119 and verse 75. I know, O Lord, that your judgments are right. Thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me. Thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me. My dear friends, You know, we had a feeling in the fellowship. We got it, of course, from the Bible. We got it, of course, from the Bible. And as soon as people repented and were converted, You see, they became whole. Now that was, of course, a miracle. What we said was, Or at least some people said, You must have done some sin to get sick. You must have done some sin to get sick. See, there must be some sin in you. No. The Lord Jesus was asked, Did this man sin or his parents sin? The Lord Jesus replied, But neither he nor his parents. But this is for my glory. But this is for my glory. Blindness. Alright. Sometimes our sicknesses are for the glory of God. I don't know whether you are one of those who goes around saying, Hey, you have done some big sin. Hey, you have done some big sin. If you ask me, I can say, I have been very careless. I didn't care for my health. My lunch used to be at 3 o'clock. 2.30. My supper, night meal used to be at 11 o'clock, 12 o'clock. I didn't have enough exercise. I didn't have enough exercise. Sometimes a long queue before my room, I cannot dissipate the queue or line, Until it's almost time for me to depart for the airport. Sometimes a long queue before my room, I cannot dissipate the queue or line, Until it's almost time for me to depart for the airport. But don't forget, In Revival work, Like I have been involved from my youth, From people have been consumed, Their strength was gone. Even a man like Finney, Very strong, backwards man. Even a man like Finney, Their strength was gone. 8 years, his health was broken. 8 years, his health was broken. But God has been very good to me, in spite of my foolishness. You can see my schedule, there is no time, even between meetings. All these years I have kept up that such schedule, but when my strength or my heart is not able to take it anymore, what do I do? I say, Lord you are the strength of my heart. You all sing that song, that song, Yehovah na balama, what is that? God is my strength. Let us sing one verse. Yehovah na balama, yadadamayi nadini, yehovah na balama, yehovah na balama, yadadamayi nadini, yehovah na balama, yadadamayi nadini, yehovah na balama, yadadamayi nadini, yehovah na balama, yadadamayi nadini, yehovah na balama, yadadamayi nadini, yehovah na balama, yadadamayi nadini, yehovah na balama, yadadamayi nadini, yehovah na balama, yadadamayi nadini, The afflictions which God permits are a great blessing. They purify you. Without that purifying process, we would all be very vain people. Psalm 119 and verse 90. Psalm 119 and verse 90. Read it please. Yes, your faithfulness is unto all generations. How amazing. Today we are struggling to give this blessing to the next generation. Now I find five generations can easily be reached by faithfulness. My grandfather followed the Lord, renouncing everything. Then my father, then me, then my children, and now you can see the grandchildren. Will the faithfulness of God extend to these grandchildren and follow them? Five generations. But here the Psalm says to all generations. Some of you are grandmothers, I know. Some of you are mothers. Is your faith and faithful living going to your children? Is your faith and faithful living going to your children? Is your faith and faithfulness living going to your children? I don't know where Christianity abandoned this concept. When I moved with some of the big men, godly men, in England and in Britain and America, I found that they had no such concept. They didn't seem to think of the next generation. Oh, my daughter is 18 years. My boy is 18 years. Oh, it's time he gets out of the house. Yes, it's very good to teach children to stand on their own feet. I find it's very necessary to do that. Yes, it's very good to teach children to stand on their own feet. But I'm not saying anything against that. But I'm not communicating faith to the next generation. See, look at so many of you. I don't know what you buy for your children. But I never told my children, you must study and get big degrees. John did not tell you one thing yesterday. When he went to his boss and he had already fixed his tickets. He had booked his tickets. And no one in America will have more than two weeks vacation. Especially if you're a key executive in the company. Especially if you're a key executive in the company. If I were the boss, I would have said, no. You can resign and go. You can resign and go. I would have opened my mouth and said, hey. No man asks such a thing in America. And of course, he didn't also tell you. That the boss said, you can go without salary. That the boss said, you can go without salary. At least he was not dismissed. At least he was not dismissed. Listen. Faith means some costly steps. It's not just singing Hallelujah, Hallelujah. It's not just singing Hallelujah, Hallelujah. Many of you are young people here. So you don't think about what is coming after. So you don't think about what is coming after. I do not know if you're weeping and repenting before God. I do not know if you're weeping and repenting before God. That you have not given your faith to the children. My wife and I, we humble ourselves. We repent before this failure. Just think of that. Easily five generations. You can pass it on to so many more generations. Whatever is not of faith is sin. Whatever is not of faith is sin. Now this is a big subject, I can't exhaust it. Now this is a big subject, I can't exhaust it. 1 Corinthians 4 chapter 2nd verse. 1 Corinthians 4 chapter 2nd verse. Let a man, first and second verses. Let a man so account of us as the ministers of Christ, the stewards of the mysteries of God. Let a man so account of us as the ministers of Christ, the stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover, it is required in stewards that a man be found faithful. Moreover, it is required in stewards that a man be found faithful. What stewards of the mysteries of God? What stewards of the mysteries of God? You know God trusts us with His secrets. That is what I feel very sad about. This is the higher realm. Moses, talking with God, getting His mind. Abraham, walking with God. My dear friends, I think we are very satisfied with the mediocre. I feel so sad. We are not producing men who really go into the higher levels. We must be more humble before we can produce such people. We must be more humble before we can produce such people. The faithfulness of Moses is put forward as the benchmark. The faithfulness of Moses is put forward as the benchmark. I can't understand that. And so when Jesus came, He was faithful in all God's house as Moses was faithful. He was faithful in all God's house as Moses was faithful. Oh, what a wonderful God. He lifts us human beings. Even to that level. Oh, faithfulness. Let us pray. Let us tell God. Faithfulness is not in me, Lord. I am an up and down Christian, Lord. I oscillate with the weather, Lord. Oh, forgive me. Make me faithful. Oh, you have given me so much. Your truth, your light. I am not worthy, I am not worthy of this truth. I am not worthy of the least of all your mercies. I am not worthy of the least of all your mercies. Oh, what faithfulness, Lord. Forgive me my unfaithfulness. Save me from all idols. That there be no subservience in my heart to any idol. Cleanse me, precious Lord. Make me to be faithful.
