Psalm 25
Brian Guerin

Brian Guerin (birth year unknown–present). Brian Guerin is an American pastor, author, and founder of Bridal Glory International and Ascend Church in Atlanta, Georgia. Raised in a non-religious home, he became a Christian in college after a profound spiritual experience he described as a divine encounter with a falcon, which ignited his pursuit of intimacy with God. Guerin serves as the senior leader of Ascend Church, where his preaching emphasizes a deep relationship with Jesus, the power of God’s presence, and preparing believers for Christ’s return. He founded Ascend Academy, a ministry school, and travels globally, speaking at conferences and on platforms like TBN and GOD-TV, often highlighting signs, wonders, and prophetic insights. His books, including God of Wonders: Experiencing God’s Voice Through Signs, Wonders, and Miracles, To Know Him: Discovering Experiential Intimacy with God, The Altar: Preparing for the Return of Jesus Christ, and Divine Encounter, focus on spiritual growth and encountering God. Known for sermons like “Mary’s at His Feet” and “The Secret Place,” he encourages distraction-free prayer and devotion, drawing from Scriptures like Luke 10:41–42 and Matthew 6:6. Guerin’s ministry seeks to draw the Church into closeness with Christ, which he calls the “highest prize in life.” He said, “Your heart can burn, and you still not know Him.”

Sermon Summary
Brian Guerin emphasizes the importance of seeking God's ways through Psalm 25, urging believers to ask God to show, teach, and lead them in His truth. He highlights the necessity of waiting on the Lord to gain clarity and understanding of His paths, contrasting the ways of man with the ways of God. Guerin encourages a deep abiding relationship with God, where believers can hear His voice and follow His guidance, ultimately leading to a fruitful life in alignment with His perfect will. He stresses that true success comes from relying on God's direction rather than our own understanding.

So, super excited to be back with you all. Everybody rest well last night? No, just a couple of hours? Awesome. So, yeah, I'll have a couple... We'll take up tithing offering this morning, if that's okay, briefly. And last night was toward the event center. And do a standard tithing offering this morning. A couple of announcements. And then we'll jump on the Word. Really excited for the Word. And then ministry at the end, if that's okay. I'll pray with you all and see what the Lord will do. How many of you know it's really important that... You know, the Bible says, The letter alone kills, but the Spirit brings life. You just really always want to at least be going towards the Word of God with a demonstration of the Spirit. You know, Paul says, I didn't come to you with eloquent words of wisdom, though I could have, but demonstration of the Spirit's power. You know, we need the Lord to move. The Bible even says, People will volunteer freely in the day of His power. We need a... Amen. But we need the Lord. I love in the book of Acts, it says, Jesus, He returned for 40 days, even prior to the death and resurrection. But it says, All that Jesus began to do and teach. So we need both. He'd be up on the mount, giving the beatitudes one moment, down at the end, the bottom casting out devils, whatever, you know. So we just love loathfulness. At the end, we'll minister. Let the Lord be glorified. But first, I want to again announce, for those of you maybe that weren't here last night, or those that will eventually see this online, again, about our two-year school of ministry, Ascend Academy. We'd love to... Boy, they are good, huh? They're on it. And we'd love to have you join us. We're seeing this really rock the bride worldwide. Here locally, both in person and online, different countries. Tony from the U.K., can you... I wish you had a mic. We're going to let you talk. She's like, a spot of tea. Maybe in a little bit. But I just love the U.K. accent. I was so grateful she came in. They're from Norway. They come in from all over. Some move permanently. Sweden and just other countries all around the world. It's beautiful what the Lord's doing. And look, this bunch is like no other. We're starting to see the Lord's for real raising up His bride for His son. And they mean business, but yet it's so beautiful. So we're going deep in community together, both online and in person. Deep in the Word. The Spirit falling madly in love with Jesus. Teaching and training, making disciples, being equipped. And that's why we have such a full, I would say just a plethora of instructors, because we're really going after the full counsel of God. Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers, you know, Ephesians 4. The fullness of what God is doing in the earth. And so you just, when you join us too, you name it. I mentioned it last night. Michael Quillianos, Patricia King, Ben Fitzgerald, Daniel Kalenda. Oh, yeah, Nathan Morris. I forgot about him last night. Some of these guys, they're strong evangelistic slants. Todd White. Look, and we need that. It keeps us. Corey Russell. He's going to hammer you with intercession. And Sidney Jacobs, the prophetic. And so many more. Different. Eric Gilmore. Look, you're sitting under him. You just want to sit at the feet of Jesus forever and eternity. And it's so beautiful. So I'm learning, and I'm coming more to so appreciate the body of Christ. The strength in each other, and we need each other. And so that's what this is. And it's a two-year program. You can take it through trimester installments. And there's a graduation and ordination, meaning we ordain you. It's official. And then we even have a third-year program. We'd love to. I really propose just try a trimester, a three-month. We've gone three-month increments hard, and then we take a month break, come back, and it's a beautiful rhythm and schedule. And I typically, the Lord's tugging just the slightest bit, I would say, jump into a trimester with us and see what he does. And, look, the testimonies we're getting back are incredible, people being touched and transformed, and it's awesome. So also our church launch, as I mentioned, will be March 20th, right around the corner. You know what I didn't know? Oh, yeah. Well, I can see it when that one comes, boy. It just lights up the whole. I didn't know this either, but it's the first day of spring. How prophetic is that? New beginnings and so, so cool. Yeah. Thank you, Lord. And we're doing the whole Revelation 320, behold, I stand at the door and knock. That last-hour narrative, you know, in the Church of Laodicea, Jesus looking for a bride that he can be one with. But we're really excited. So from then on, Sundays, 10 a.m., we're here, look, fifth gear going forward. So come on, come all. Yes, indeed. And bring your children. We'll finally be set up for full childcare, nursery, toddlers, the whole bit. So we're so, so excited to just grow in the Lord together. And that'll be good. Oh, yeah, babe, do you mind grabbing some of my books? Maybe just whichever one. Maybe whatever we have back there. Please, one of each, if you don't mind. We'd love to get some of those out. And typically on these, as many of you know, I'll stay after later and sign books if you'd like. Some people like that. Some people don't. But I get to chat with you, too. And it's funny. I love to tell this story. Some of you have heard it before. I was in, actually, a Glory Nights here years ago. We've been doing these for years. And a man came up to me in the book line. He was well put together, sharp businessman. And he comes up next in line, didn't have a book or anything. He's like, no, I don't want your book. I have your book. I read it, but I don't need your signature and stuff like that. I was like, awesome. But he told me, he goes, but I've got to tell you something. He goes, I'm just going to tell you blunt forward with you. I think he gave me his business card. And he said, and I remember him because in these meetings, it can get swirly. I mean, bodies are flying, manifestations, it's glorious. And he just had his stuff together. He was sharp, awesome man of God. But you stick out a little bit when sometimes it's just, you know. So I knew him. I saw him. But he said, look, I got to tell you what happened. I read your book, God of Wonders. It's on the supernatural and manifestations. But more importantly, God's voice in them. What he's saying to intimately know him and track with him. But he read the book and he went to bed arguing with God. He goes, there's no way. Like, why would you do this stuff? No. Like, this is impossible, all this stuff. Because we've seen some interesting stuff. It's all the Lord. I have nothing to do. I just love Jesus. And he does what he does. And how many of you know if you love the king wholeheartedly, there's one problem with that. His kingdom comes with him. And his kingdom's unique, man. Just hop around the word for a little bit. You've got four-headed creatures right nearest the throne. Six wings. And if they wave them, there's eyes staring at you. And then Ezekiel, they come into the earth. And there's wheels within wheels. And like, so it gets interesting. I love that we serve a God like that. And he's full on supernatural. So he went to bed arguing. And he said, in the middle of the night, my iPad. It's awesome. We've been in contact with him lately. We got to pray with him about his father. He came into the academy. He's awesome, man of God. But he said, in the middle of the night, his iPad turned on. He named himself the iPad guy in the email. It's awesome. His iPad turned on supernaturally in the middle of the night. And it went to a file of Randy Clark preaching at him. And then all of a sudden, it shut off. And he freaked him out. He's like, okay, God, I'm never, you know. And it's so awesome. Thanks, babe. I so appreciate it. So anyway, we have a bunch of these back there. Love to, it was this one. It was this one, yeah. But I want to give these out. We'll sign some at the end. And that'll be good. Oh, but I was reminded. And we'll take offering up in a second. But I wanted to, you know, let's do that first. And then I'll pass out books. So yeah, just tie the offering. I would encourage you guys to pray. You know, you want to be generous in life. If this is not your home church or going to be, you know, you want to make sure and tie it to your church. You know, you don't want to give here. But many people are starting to tie this into this direction if this feels like your house. So yeah, God, I just think you want to pray. Same ways to give. Ascendchurchatl.com. Text to give and checks made payable to ascend the church. And we'll pray real quick. God, I just thank you so much for just your blessing, your favor, God. And I release it upon each and every one. And pray for increase upon all of our lives, God, that you would be glorified. Pray for abundance and breakthrough. Do what only you can do. In Jesus' name, amen. Awesome. And if you want to come, you can bring to the baskets up here. I don't want to give you a lot of time, but take as long as you want. We'll continue. How you all doing in the balcony, you lovely ones? Give us a big shout. Let's see how loud you can get. Yeah, that's awesome. That's so cool. Many times we'd preaching down in Columbia, Montezales. They had a long, like, shotgun house. Church was jam-packed, and it was perfect for, like, a wave. You know, we'd do this glory wave. So we'd start on this wall. Angela, you remember. Yeah, and we'd go this way and release it out into the city because there would be people out the doors even. They don't do all fire marshal codes and all that in Columbia. It was just wall-to-wall jam. It was beautiful to watch them. It was awesome. But anyway, watch this. I thought this would bless you guys. I shared this with our academy students last week, and it's funny because it has to do with the books and giving those out and stuff like that. I love to give these books out, and that'll be awesome. Actually, next week, you know what's funny is, yeah, this coming week, have you guys ever heard of Sid Roth? It's a supernatural Christian thing. Yeah, they're awesome, really impacting the world. So this week, I'll be on with them. They want to do this book. Yeah, yeah. Isn't that cool? And I don't know when it'll air. I don't know how that works. But me and Judah, look, what me and Judah are most excited about, you know, sometimes they'll do the replay video and the reenactors, like the actors that look like you. We can't wait to see who they put up in there and find my doppelganger, you know, and put him up in there. So that's the one that will be on. We'll see how that will go. But watch this. I was in Indiana recently. It may have been last weekend, I think, or the one recently. And there's this precious couple, Brian and Angela Herds from up in the Michigan area. Angela Herds is one of our students. So they have these two daughters, Aubriana and Lorena. Beautiful. So every time I'm up in Indiana preaching, they come and give me a hug. And Aubriana, she, one time I was up there, because I'm typically up there every year, I think I'll be back in September, and I'm in the foyer. She's like, I play baseball better than you. I was like, I bet you do, sweetheart. Because she knew I used to play baseball. And so we're in the church meeting, and I said, Aubriana, you want to come tell them what you told me? Come tell them. So she loved it. She was excited, too. She ran up there. I grabbed her, gave her the mic. She's like, I play baseball better than Brian. And you can go on my Instagram and see her. I normally try to get pictures with her. She's so beautiful. Both are daughters. They're amazing. She made me a bracelet the last time. So anyway, Indiana, I'm up there, and I'm just giving books out and things like this. And I just happened to go to their aisle, and I gave the daughters whatever books they wanted and just gave the others out elsewhere. And so when I did, they said, hey, Aubriana wrote you a note. You know, here it is. And she was super prophetic. I know you love children. See? Yeah. It's awesome. And I love the truth. You know, you're going to get it like it is from kids. It's beautiful. So watch this. You can see the Jackson. I don't know if you can see it. Zoom in from way back there. But the beautiful brown marks a lot, you know, handwritings. It's just as I'm getting older and traveling, just seeing what the Lord does in life, there's some of these things that become more valuable to you, you know. It just means so much. I'll keep this all of my days. And so watch this. She goes, thank you for preaching and teaching us about Jesus and how life was like back when Jesus was alive. And thank you for teaching us about how love works. And I also love when you read scriptures. I also love when you hold your Bible. Isn't that awesome? And make us laugh. And how you pass out books. She was prophetic. I'm sitting here passing books out to them. And she gives me the letter for people to read and love. Now watch this. This is my perfect, my favorite part. How you pass out books for people to read and love. It is kind of like contagious. Not like COVID. Isn't that awesome? She goes, not like COVID. What I mean is when someone reads it, they spread the word. And when they spread the word, then they spread the word. Thank you for teaching us. Isn't that awesome? I love that. She's like, not like COVID. What I mean is it's contagious because the word spreads. It's so good. So anyway, I want to give these out. Oh, sorry. I'm working hard. Do you mind just being led wherever you want to go? Anybody got any birthday? Demacia. Demacia. Oh, another one. Right here. It's your birthday. How old are you? I'm teasing. No, I didn't do that. I'm teasing. You get the wild one. Is that cool? Oh, no. You need a bunch. It's your birthday. Where's Demacia? Yeah. Birthday girl. Sorry. I'll do the leg work. Is there any you don't have? Is there any you don't have? Which one do you want? You want to take, do you have these? You're very welcome. Anybody else? Okay. All right. You want to chuck it? Are we bold enough? Anybody, are you hitting the head? He said, okay. I'm feeling a little resistance from the spirit on that one. Holy Spirit's like, don't try and get cool right now. Okay. Thank you, Lord. All right. Let's jump in. And I won't keep you long at all. And we'll pray. And it will be good. Thank you, Lord. So I want to talk to you briefly out of Psalm 25 verses four through five. Been in this a bit and so, so good. And hopefully it'll bless some of you guys and may hop around a little bit. I love that Jacob's saying that. He goes, so much better your ways. And it's so, so good. And then landed within the silence. I mean, even the songs are so prophetic and it's kind of what I was going to be hitting on this morning. I'm going, man, but so much, how many of you know so much better in his ways? The quicker we can get to that. That's what we were born for. Look, if you're not a believer, good luck. You better figure something out. You're on your own. The Bible even says Hebrews 114, ministering spirits, angels are ministering spirits that come to assist those who inherit salvation. So even have the assistance of the angelic realm, you know, ministering spirits, but if you're not born again, again, you know, good luck. And so, but in this new covenant, it's different as well. Meaning we must submit and do things his way and his ways are so much better. So I want to touch on this and maybe expound a little bit from my heart. And again, we'll keep you guys along, but, but watch this. I'm in the new King James version. Verse four says, this is David. He says, um, Oh, which real quick. I'm going to, uh, this is coming to me. So Brent Marina, we go back years. Amazing. Uh, man and woman of God. We're all from Louisiana and just incredible. I thought it would bless Jacob. Maybe I thought it was really cool, man. She said last night, Marina's real prophetic sees things and all that. She was like, every time I was looking at Jacob, have you all seen this new David animated movie that's supposed to come out. I hope they can come out with it. It looks epic. Um, you guys, do you know what I'm talking about? Two people. Well, I hope it comes out. You better intercede anyway. Uh, it looks really like a top high end, but about the life of David. And she kept seeing like his face over your face. Like David, this is mighty worship in heart after God. And I just thought that was really epic. She's like, I can't, I don't know what it was. You know, I'm like, yeah, he is. And, uh, so anyway, this is David. He says in verse four, um, show me your ways. Oh Lord, teach me your paths. Verse five, lead me in your truth and teach me for you're the God of my salvation on you. I wait all the day. So if we go back to verse four, I'm going to try and slow down a little bit and go, go a bite, a bite at a time. But look, David, he goes, show me your ways. And basically the basis, like show me, teach me, lead me. And I love this again. I touched on it last night about the heart of David. He's so always deflects and defers to God's way. He has a heart after God's heart. And the quicker we can get that posture, we can align with God's perfect will, uh, in, in a moment, you know, it won't take us long. And so I pray that God would do this and do this in a deep way within our heart. You can see David always inquiring of the Lord. He's probably top number one guy that just inquire of the Lord. I remember, um, when the Philistines, you know, you'll remember this in scripture, the Philistines came to him in a valley. He inquired of God. She would go after him. The Lord says, Oh yeah, I'll give him into your hands. He went into battle. They defeated the Philistines came back, regrouped. Philistines went regrouped, came back in the exact same Valley to fight him again. Well, human logic is like same enemy, exact same opponent, same playing field. We just beat him before God told me to do it. We'll just do it again. We'll beat him again. You know, I don't, why do I need to pray again? And if we're not careful, this is what we do often. And we can miss the Mark because we don't deflect to God. No, hold on. I don't trust my, I don't trust my way. We need to get very uncomfortable with our own ways. It's when you start thinking you've got it figured out, that's a risky place. I know it's comforting. It's just not the biblical way. And we operate in our different covenant. And so David's like the Philistines. It's the same exact scenario. Didn't even change the playing field. And David's still, he's like, nah, no better. Let me go inquire of God. So he waits on the Lord. And God says, this time, oh yeah, I'll give them into your hand. This time we're going to do it a totally different way though. Go round about, wait until you hear the sound of the mulberry trees, and we'll take them out. And so that's why we're so successful as well, inquired of God, cared about his ways. And so here David says, show me your ways. I have to see them first. Teach me your paths. And if you do a word study on that Hebrew, the ways and paths are basically the same exact thing. It's the direction, you know, your journey. I'll bring this just in case. But the direction, the path, the way, they're the same thing. So show me your ways. Teach me your paths. It's the same exact word. So David first, he's like, first I know, and I know this can sound basic, but it's actually super key and vital for us to walk in the ways of God. How many of you know we need to walk in God's perfect will in this hour? You know, we don't need any area of our life in our own way. And I think far too often 70% to 80% we may be walking in God's way, but still that 20% we sort of hang on to. And we wonder why heaven's breath is not on us. There's no favor and there's problems there in that area of our life. Many of us will tap into graces that are godly and biblical and be walking in them, but other areas we still hang on to our way and God can't breathe upon it. And there's resistance there and no favor. It could be like finances. There's people that even believe in the supernatural and healing, but finances, they don't want to be generous. They want to hang on because they just trust their method of hanging on to what they've got and prosperity can't flow. And so it's just they have their way. So David's like, first I need to see it. Show me your way. So we'll call this aisle the way of God, maybe this aisle the way of man. So David gets into prayer. He's super neutral. He's like, look, just first show me your ways. Let me see them. I've got to see them. After that, teach me them. So how many of you know you can know a path and see which one to go down, but you need to be taught how to go down it. And this is real big. Sometimes we stop at just seeing it and we don't then go deeper into being taught how to walk it. And so that's why often people, it's hard to understand because it's like, no, I know I'm in the will of God. He told me to come this way. But we don't take the time to wait and be taught that path. And so you don't realize he's like, man, it's going to start dipping right here. It's going to go higher. You need certain type of boots. There's going to be resistance around that corner. You've got to be taught even in his way. And David's just a mastermind in the presence of God and not trusting himself but the Lord. So he says, show me your ways, O Lord. Teach me your paths. And let me back up, though. First off, it's your ways. You know, it's God's full ways. I've already touched on that. But it's also plural, ways. So it's so key that we constantly stay in a place of inquiring of the Lord because his ways are plural. There's not one way and for one time. They're not only plural in the now season but in the ongoing. They change. You've got to constantly be dependent on him. That's why I love intimacy. It keeps you in that place of knowing his ways. Show me them. So now, there's probably several paths I'm supposed to be walking down. But six months from now, they'll change again. And what happens is far too often we'll be shown, like Elijah, to prophesy a drought. And so the Lord says, okay, now my way, I'm going to show it to you, go to the brook and I'll send the ravens to feed you there. And so we know his way. And so we'll go and inquire of God and hear accurately, get to the brook. And then all of a sudden, the problem is the seasons change. The brook dries up from the drought he prophesied. And then far too often, that's why it's now ways, it's plural. It turns into now I need you to go to the widow and I'll supply for you there. Do you guys remember that? And what happens all the time, I've been guilty of this, I'm sure many of you as well. We hear enough to get on that main path and walk in it for this season, but then the favor and grace lifts because of his ways, they're plural. They're his first off. They're not yours and his. They're his ways. Like we need to just totally hang up the idea of us having any kind of input. Does he use us and use our personalities? Oh, yeah, thank God. But it's his ways. We should have everything of self out of it and be real neutral in prayer. When you really kind of still hang on to something in prayer, it's hard to hear clearly. Very hard to hear. I just teach my children this way. We're always trying to hold things very lightly until we know what's God's way. Then you grip it and follow. But you get to the brook and you know you heard God. You did. The ravens fed you. It's all supernatural. But now the problem is his ways. There's a new way. And sometimes we get too caught up in what he spoke before that we can't see the new ways. And we get stuck in seasons. And this happens more often than you would think. And you wonder why, you know, have things changed and lifted and all this when the season changes. And so ways, plural, they're his, not ours. And then teach me them, meaning we have to see them and then be taught in them, you know. And then this next one, he says, lead me in your truth and teach me that. Now this is a whole, it's a deepening of the level of the will of God really. You see in Romans 12, Paul writes about the good, sorry, well, good, well-pleasing and perfect will of God in accordance to the renewal of the mind. And I even see that as tears in greater depths of God's will. You can have as good will, well-pleasing, I mean this now, it's well-pleasing to God. And then you can have perfect. And to walk in the perfect will of God, we've not only got to be shown his ways and then his paths, it's the same word and the same meaning, and be taught those paths to walk them. But now that you're in the path, even being led in truth, you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. Far too often we're in God's will, we're even starting to learn the path, but we're not being led by truth. And it so matters the spirit of truth in this hour. So we have show, teach me the path, and now lead me in it. So that's another thing, we've got to be great followers, being led, you know. So you can tell there's just nothing in David that trusts himself. You guys tracking with me? He's all about, first off, I just have to see the path, be taught it, and then after that, please lead me in it. In truth, and then teach me even in truth. And so this dependency upon the Lord, if we can maintain it, it's so healthy and beautiful, and it keeps you aligned into the perfect will of God. Doesn't always look brilliant, not always popular, but listen, it's successful and it gives him glory. So the biggest key in this, though, on our part now, he's praying that God would do this, but the biggest key I'm getting to is in verse 5, for you are the God of my salvation, this last one. On you I will wait all the day. This is how we never see his path, be taught them or be led in truth. We don't want to put in this part. On you I will wait all the day. This is the key right here. I just would encourage you, I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but waiting on the Lord is so vital, you know, in this deep abiding. I believe this company he's raising up in this hours, just a different breed. They thrive in the times of sustained abiding and dwelling in his presence. That's what they live from. And you see it all over the world, but John 15, we all know the abiding in the vine passage. Jesus says, I am the true vine, meaning there's many false ones out there, but I am the true vine. My father's a vine dresser. Those that are in me, you know, I need them to bear fruit. He goes, but those that are in me that don't bear fruit, I'll cut off. Meaning you can be in the Lord. You can be around him. You can high five him on the way to work. You can think you sort of heard the path vaguely and think you're on it. Just walk it out and feel it out. David doesn't do any of that. He abides all the day. I'll wait until I'm seeing it. I'm taught in it. And I'm now you leave me. He'll wait all the day long. Those who wait upon the Lord amount up on wings like eagles. And so there's deep abiding and waiting upon the Lord. I believe he's, he's looking for and that we would better yield into it in this hour. And, um, but Jesus in John 15, he says, meaning there can be people in him and they don't bear fruit. And if you read further, he says, but if you abide in me, you'll bear much fruit. So there's a big difference from being connected to the Lord. You're a believer in him. The fullest Virgin's not a lot of oil, but they still want the bridegroom. That's not the company that will ever know his full path. Be taught them or be led in truth. So the key here is on you. I will wait all the day, you know? Um, uh, like I, I love Isaiah 26 verse three. It says that he will keep in perfect peace. Those whose mind is stayed upon him. It's a relationship. There's a cooperation. You know, I love that. We, we love the sovereign, like God's going to do it all, but you will always see there's something reliant upon our part. And, um, he says he'll keep in perfect peace. Those whose mind are stayed upon him. So again, his job is to keep you in perfect peace. That's his desire for you every day. But as your mind constantly stayed upon him, his desires to show you his past, teach you them, and then lead you in truth in them. But are you waiting all the day for him? You know? And so this, this, uh, reliance upon us, I believe he's calling for and want to pray for just a greater kind of recalibration in it. Grace on waiting on him. But again, in John 15, the difference between just being in him and not bearing fruit are those that abide. Psalm 91. It says he who dwells in the secret place of the most high. Everybody loves the shakalaka. Psalm 91, the bumper stickers and all the benefits that come with it, but they don't realize it's only unlocked for those who dwell in the secret place. And that is a deep, it means to be married to deep residing, dwelling, abiding. Well, you kind of get illegal, Brian. You know, I'm kind of led free, free in the spirit. Like, okay, we'll do the free in the spirit for a little minute. Tell me how it works for you. You know? And I love that. You hear me. But I'm just meeting a life of diligence pursuit. He residual reward of those who diligently seek him and that we'd more and more lean back into and dig out this trench of dwelling in him. Waiting all the day. David would do this like a master and he just wouldn't budge. Saul, whose house grew weaker and weaker. We touched on that last night. He'd wait and they would start to times to get shaky, get a little nervous and he'd hurry up and just make a sacrifice. If Samuel didn't show up, David would not budge. He says on you, I'll wait all the day. And that word there, it literally means continually, even could be days in a row, just constantly waiting. And so, um, just want to encourage us in knowing God's way. Because if we're honest, especially in a company of believers, you, you hear a lot of voices. You can hear all kinds of things that seem like his ways, but to clearly hear his way. Sometimes it takes a deep abiding and dwelling and being taught in it. There's a lot less mistakes there. You know, it's the Mary's that sit at the feet of Jesus. They just, they're more fruitful. It seems like they're wasting their time, but, um, but they're more fruitful. They hear clearer and walk in a more accurate way. So just want to encourage you, you know, that we would start to, you know, more and more. And I know we're all at different places, but kind of adhere to this life of deep abiding into the secret place of knowing him. You know, sometimes it may take locking up for a day or a whole weekend, you know, and a spouse hanging on, running the house for each other. And in waiting all the day, this was David was a King. You know, he had plenty to do even probably not yet positioned yet in these songs, but still he was very busy. But he knew how critical it was to be shown God's way. See them first, be taught about them, how to walk in them and then be led in truth when you're in it. You know, sometimes we don't have full truth. And so we walk in a bit of a bondage while yet we're still in the will of God. And that's, that can be well pleasing, but not perfect. You know, we want the perfect will of God. So I want to encourage you that the, the waiting all day that we'd take that key back, back on our key chain and use it, you know, and begin to diligently protect our time with the Lord and, and waiting upon him. You know, cause how many of you know, you have to like get a little militant sometimes with your secret place. It's like you go to get in the word and then everybody starts texting and calling. It's like, well, y'all didn't text me all day long. I got to crack the word, you know, and, and they're believers too. Get behind me, Satan. I'm teasing, but you got to set these parameters, you know, and I love Jesus got up well before the sun. You know, whatever it is, he'd go a stone throw away from the disciples. It's like, Jesus, you're only here three years. You've got to pour any and everything of yourself into them. These are the, these are going to rock the modern day world. Constantly pulling away. It took to Luke chapter 11 for them to finally say, teach us how to pray. We don't know how, why? Because Jesus was constantly going into his closet, shutting the door in secret with his father. Even up to before he got crucified, he had the 12 and he left the nine who were kind of on the outer rim. His inner three, Peter, James, and John, they, they were like mounted transfiguration, the dead raising. They were like just a little bit tighter in. He knew he was going to build upon that rock and Peter and John, the beloved, the end time revelation who put his head on his chest. And they were kind of the inner, and he brought them a little closer. And it says, he talked to them about things. He didn't quite share with the nine out of the agony of what he was about to go through. But even then he says, y'all wait here and pray. And he goes away with his father secret place. He who dwells in the secret place of the most high in with wherever this world's going. Look, if we lock that in now, we're good. And we're just always knowing God's path may not make sense to everybody, but we take the time to wait on him, you know, not getting in a hurry, not in a rush. I know in this day and age, we're used to like now, you know, internet's not working fast. What's going on? You know, the thing is spinning and you're refreshing your screen. You know what I'm talking about? Uh, but you know, back then, I mean, how many know God hasn't changed? He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. So just because culture's fast may not mean he is. He seems slow, but he's perfect in timing. Like I said last night, you don't want to get on your conversation. He's going to ignore you. He's just gonna, you know, but, um, and Moses went up on the mountain six days, seventh day, finally went into the cloud of glory. God spoke. And so sometimes we need to wait on him all the day and it's worth it. You know, um, better is one day in his courts and a thousand elsewhere. And so it would be again, just go back to that place. Like, you know what? Yeah, that's what it is. If things are blurry and cloudy and a bit obscure on what are his ways. And then once I see them, how, how am I to be taught in them? And then once I'm taught them, I know better. I'm not going to start walking down like I own it. I need, please lead me. You're my shepherd. I'm following you wherever the lamb goes. I'm following you. Okay. Left, left foot, right foot. Okay. We stop it now. Okay. I don't care. I'm not getting in a hurry, but everybody thinks we're supposed to be doing this. I don't care. Wherever, whenever, however, just be led by him. And, uh, but the, the key to unlock that whole world is waiting on him all the day. Deep abiding, residing, dwelling. Let his presence just brood over you. Well, my thoughts are distracting. Oh yeah. I mean, I totally get it. Um, some of you may have heard this story before. When I first started waiting on the Lord, you know, I was in Bible college and from 99 to Oh one assemblies of God outpouring in Pensacola, real shaka laka intercession going to the nations. It was awesome. So grateful for the heritage and what was all poured in prophetic, not quite a deep grid for could have been just me. And then, um, waiting on the Lord and stillness. I, I, I wasn't quite familiar with. I could, I'd pray in tongues, worship the word pray. Uh, but it was like late, um, or like Oh six, somebody gave me this, this kind of compilational waiting on the Lord from a general that absolute admire. And I said, what is this? It would just open up a new deal to me. So I said, I'm having that man. I could see it in the word. I said, I'm having that weight on the Lord. How many know that's one of the hardest prayer postures there is, but in the silence, like Jacob saying it's, that's where he is. Some of the most powerful, most life altering destiny shifts in my life have been right there. Wait like this right here. Hours is nothing. And you're, you're, you're everything in you is like, what are we doing? This is such a waste of time. My thoughts are everywhere, but I believe there's something in it that's so full of trust on our end and so full of like, God's like, wow, they're not moving until I come and just don't. And a lot of people say, well, how long until he comes? Well, how long do I wait to hear and tell he speaks, but it's been two days. We'll add on another two, you know? And, um, I remember, uh, one of my kind of spiritual fathers, dr. Bob Gladstone is incredible. He, I was going through some really rough season, so I called him. I thought I was going to get something. I was like, what do you recommend? You know? And, uh, I thought he was gonna give me some like Solomonic proverb, you know, he goes, oh yeah, no, I hear you heard my whole spiel, everything. And he goes, yep. You need to pray in tongues for an extra hour a day. That's what he told me. I was like, done, we'll do it. And sure enough, it changed everything. But in the context of waiting on the Lord, um, I remember at first I'm like, I'm having this man. Wow. I started seeing like Moses climbed the mountain. He didn't have the latest Bethel iPod, you know, iPad or whatever. He didn't have any tracks. He's up there with the wind blowing and God comes down with a face glowing and 10 commandments though, you know, and these, these, uh, Elijah and them and sit up on the high places and just wait. But they'd foresee everything coming. They knew the crystal clear voice of God. Only he's up there. You get away from the obscurity and the noise, the golden calf world, you detach, go high, ascend. And he's there. And when he speaks, man, he comes with impartation to it, smokes you. It paints you. He didn't just speak. So you can hear a little goose bump thing. No, whatever he speaks, it comes with the presence of it and it gets on you. And then you come down and you're like, you didn't know my face was going, but everybody's like, Whoa. And you're just changed. You're very, very different. And so I remember I would wait and I mean, man, my thoughts were everywhere. And I was like, surely it's been an hour. This is wow. You know, I look 15 minutes like you're kidding me. Help me Lord. You know? So I'd go back at it. I was like, I'm having this. I need him. And how many of you buffet your flesh? Sometimes you tell it, you know, our spirit needs to run our life, not our flesh. Emotions too. The emotions, if they, if they accompany what God's doing good, but if they're counter, no, you're lying. You know, we choose love, joy, peace, the fruit of the spirit. And so, um, is that a plane? That's cool. Either way. I don't know what that is. So I'm sitting there waiting on the Lord and I'm like trying and all of a sudden a motorcycle rides by here and out, out there on the street, like a cross rocket. I could tell, I guess I talk about the noise and there I am. I'm like, wow. Yeah. My brother used to have a motorcycle and I'm like, man, he was good. He could ride wheelies. And you know, I'm serious. Like 20 minutes later, I'm just off man. You got all these motorcycle pictures going and I'm like, help me Lord. You know? And so, but that's why I believe getting up well before the sun, super helpful. But if, if not look, they got great earplugs nowadays, noise canceling headphones and whatever you got to do. Um, we can rent out our silent proof drum enclosure to you. $50 an hour teasing. But, um, cause I want some birds. I feel like nature has its own alarm clock. You know, the birds and the roosters, they just start. It's wild. Um, I remember I was waiting on the Lord. We live, we have woods back behind us. I was waiting on the Lord back there and it got into a real sweet spot. I got so still, I didn't know a deer got real close to me and uh, and I was just sitting there and all of a sudden I, I just moved an elbow and it, it startled them. I was back on this mountain, kind of rocky, rocky area. And I heard his hooves and they blow, you know, they do this like a horn thing. Freak me out. Just destroyed the secret place. And then you'll get woodpeckers sometimes or whatever. But if we, the more we, um, you know, it's like riding a bike, the more we just lean in, lean in and uh, it, you start to find this flow. And when he comes in that stillness, then a circus can be going on. When you're now enveloped by him, I can feel it sometimes. It's like the vibrations of his presence. It's almost like I imagine the spirit when he brooded over the deep, it's like he comes and broods. And then when it's his presence, it's like spiritual vibrations. When that happens, it's so still that a circus can be going on and you can't come out of it. So I just want to encourage you guys. It's there. It's a place in him. And that's where also you see past your clarity or lead in truth. And, um, just want to encourage you guys to, to go for it. You know, Psalm 46, 10 says, be still and know that he is God. Isaiah 40, I quoted it earlier. Those who wait upon the Lord will mount up on wings like eagles. Just that waiting. What it does is it just kind of like the cream rising to the top. It, it takes you up higher out of the noise, out of the voices, out of the options. I mean, you know, God doesn't do multiple choice. He has his way and he's not going to give you a bunch of it. There's a perfect way. And we want that one. We don't even want well pleasing. We want his perfect will. And so that waiting, you just, you just ascend all of a sudden light bulb clarity. I see it. And it even makes sense up there. There's such a deep realm of his presence and faith there. When you hear there, it's like, yeah, that's right. Then you come back down to the natural. Like that doesn't sound, you know, I don't feel good about this. You know, the fear and the natural kicks in. So it's better to just live there. But, um, but yeah, if you guys want to stand, we'll pray. Yeah. I want to pray that this morning. His, um, the spirit of wisdom and revelation and the knowledge of him that some of you, how many of you you're even praying about things right now to know his, his precise way. Okay. Yeah. Let's pray. Even maybe we ascend together right now and, and take away that need, but still you need to wait on the Lord. But, um, for just clarity, show us Lord your ways, teach us them. And then please lead me in it. That's the posture of our entire life. That's what we want to live in. You know? So, Hey, April, how are you? Good to see you again. So thank you, Lord. Maybe we can dim the house lights a little. Be good. Yeah. So just focus on the Lord. Thank you, Lord. We thank you for being our God. Thank you, Lord, that you are a shepherd. Thank you for your love, your presence, your word, your ways, your voice. I pray for your perfect will got to be laid out clearly before each and every one of us. We just want to follow you in your ways. I pray even now for grace to let go of those things we're, we're hanging on to. I'll follow God, but it needs to look like this. I'll follow God, but it has to be here in this place because these people live here. I like this or I want this. There is no eye in the full, perfect will of God. Doesn't work like that. If you want to follow me, deny yourself, take up your cross and follow me. So all that we want to lay down like Dave and say, no, no, I don't care about my ways. Look, I ditched that a long time ago. Show me your ways. We don't want to hang on to anymore what I can figure out and see or how I think it ought to be. That's a train wreck waiting to happen. Show me, show me your ways, God. Show me your ways. Let me see them. I don't want this filter over my eyes anymore because I'm hanging on to something else or I think your way has to look how I think it ought to look. My hands are off now. Show me your ways. And then teach me in them. Teach me how now. Now, if I, if I've now seen it clearly, just teach me, help me. What are the steps, the process? What does it look like? Just help me obey you. Lead me in it. Lead me, oh, good shepherd. I just want to follow. Give me a grace to be led by you all the days of my life. Let my happy place be behind you. Don't let me get in the way and start leading this thing. I want to follow you. I'm comforted in your leadership. Lead me in your truth. And on you, I'll wait all the day long. So right now, I want to pray. You want to just lift your hands to heaven received by faith. I pray for a fresh grace right now on the waiting upon the Lord, coupled together with the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. The knowing of his will is the specifics. The details come to you. Now, right now, I really do. I pray for the Holy Spirit to sweep through this place right now. The spirit of truth. Come. Spirit of truth. Remove all of the cloudy, the obscurity that I'm not quite sure. That we may know you. Be still and know that he is God. In the name of Jesus. Amen. Just continue to focus on the Lord. I'd love to get our team up here to pray and minister. Maybe Kristen, Priscilla, Eva, if you don't mind. Stacey. Maybe William and Mabel, if they can make it up here. I'd love to pray for you. If you have any needs, healing in your body, whatever it may be. Yeah, you can come. Yeah, you can start coming now. Sorry. Maybe Dina. Is Dina around somewhere? Oh, yeah. Do you mind? Thank you so much. Thank you, Lord. Yeah. So, even now, if you need prayer for anything, it could be whatever it may be. We've got our team up here. We'd love to pray for you. Could be healing in your body, specific needs or prayer into the things of God. Financial, whatever it may be. We want to invite you to come now to the front. Our team will pray for you. I'm going to be out in the back in a second, sign books and chat with you all. As you continue to come for prayer, I want to pray corporately. Just bless the house. Everybody just received. God, I thank you even now for the blessing of God on each and every one. The tangible presence would be upon us. A residue of glory would go with us, God. I pray for a breakthrough in the homes. A unity, peace. Lost loved ones would begin to get touched by the Spirit of God. They'd draw you to the Father. Men's divided homes, God, do miracles in the lives of each and every one right now. Thank you, Lord.
