I can't even conceive what that means. Satan and his angels fought against Michael and the angels of God and Satan lost that war. And the scripture says in the text that I just read to you, Rejoice all you heavens! Rejoice all you that abide in heaven! That had to do with the martyrs, that had to do with all the heavenly hosts, all the redeemed. It said rejoice because the accused of the devil has been cast out of heaven. Satan lost his right to even approach the throne of God as an accuser at that time. He accused all the redeemed, said they had no right to be redeemed. All you heavens rejoice because the devil has been cast out. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent called the devil and Satan, which deceives the whole world. He was cast out into the earth and his angels were cast out with him. Now keep that in mind. He was cast out of heaven into the earth. Jesus came down to that same earth to set up his kingdom right in the realm that the devil was claiming. Remember the devil claimed the earth for himself and all the kingdoms of this world. Because when Jesus was tempted in the desert, when he was tempted in the desert, the devil said, if you'll fall down and worship me, I'll give you all my kingdoms, I'll give you the kingdoms of the world. So Jesus didn't dispute that. But right in the middle of this dark kingdom, Jesus came to set up his own invisible kingdom in the hearts of his people. And God has always had a church. Wherever there's been an altar, from Abraham on, God has always had a church. Wherever a man has worshipped, there's been a church. In fact, the church was born in the Old Testament, without question. In fact, all the prophets, look for the consolation of Israel. You can't look for the consolation of Israel unless you're a part of the church. It was said of Abraham, he saw my day, Jesus, and rejoiced. He's a part of this same body. That church gave birth. The church of the prophets, the church of our fathers who walked with God, some translated, they were all a part of this church. And the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered for to vow her child as soon as it was born. Now, I treat that to be Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Satan realized that he'd lost the first war. But now, he stands waiting because he knows he's in another battle. And Satan comes and fills the heart of Herod, first of all. The Bible says he stood before this woman, before this church that was about to give birth, this was the church of the Old Testament, about to give birth, for to devour the child as soon as it was born. Remember, Herod tried to kill it. Satan himself, and Leon, incarnated, I believe, many of the priests, incarnated, came down in his own power and turned the world against him. And where did the cry come from? Kill him! Kill him! Crucify him! That came right out of the pits of hell. That was Satan loving in the hearts of the people. Satan lost his greatest battle, his worst defeat, his second and worst defeat was at the cross. First of all, he did war against the Father in heaven, he was cast out. He did war against the man-child, Jesus Christ, and he was defeated. And so there's only one battle left. It's the last battle that's being waged right now, and it's against the remnant of the seed of Jesus Christ, and that's the church, that's you, and that's me. This is the last battle. And having spoiled, this is what Jesus did to the devil at the cross, he spoiled principalities and powers. He made a share of them openly, and he triumphed over them. Hallelujah. Do you know that the accuser of the brethren has no power over you and I now? Because if he tries to accuse you and me, we go right to the throne of God, and upon the blood of Jesus Christ, the accusations are gone. Hallelujah. But listen to what the scripture says. Revelation 12, 12. Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea, that the devil's come down to you, and he's angry, he has deep wrath, because he knows that he hath but a short time. I wish Christians knew that. I wish Christians would acknowledge, as much as the devil does you, that he has a short time. We've got a whole doctrine now saying we've got an eternity to build the kingdom. The devil knows he has a short time. And the Bible says he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. He persecuted the body of Jesus Christ. He didn't have... Remember, we are the body. This is the only thing the devil has left to persecute. This is the last one. Get that in your mind. There's a powerful, clear, prophetic warning about the devil's tactics in the last day. It's true that the devil has harassed every generation. He harassed the first church. He persecuted the church ever since the cross. He would try to drive out those first early Christians into the desert. The Bible said they walked naked through the hills. They were hungry, they were thirsty, they were sawn asunder. Yes, the devil has always harassed the church. But now, in these last days, even though the Bible says evil men are waxing worse and worse, there has been an acceleration of evil. Just before the last day, just before Jesus comes and he knows his time is short, there is coming a release out of the pits of hell everything Satan has in his arsenal. Aimed at the individual Christian. Aimed at those who are now the body of Jesus Christ. Jesus being the head. He couldn't touch the head so he's after the body. How's he going to do it? How's he going to come against us in these last days? He's going to spew out of his mouth, out of the abundance of the mouth the heart speaks. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. And out of his mouth, which means out of his heart, there's going to come a flood of iniquity and evil such as the early church never saw. Listen to it. The serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman that he might cause her to be carried away with the flood. Listen to it now. Let it to listen very clearly. Why are we having a male landslide in America, in the world today? Why are little children now selling drugs, eight and nine years old? Why are hundreds of thousands of little children being molested? Men are raping babies in cribs. What's happened? What about AIDS and chlamydia and this absolutely being carried away by a male landslide? What's it all about? It's more than just judgment upon mankind for their sins. These are the sins of mankind. There's no question. But it's more than that. It's a flood right out of the devil's heart. It's a flood out of his mouth. And I tell you, that flood has a design to it. It's not just sinful men paying for their sins. This is a satanic design that he would come against the church with such a flood of evil. He would throw such a flood of temptation that you and I would be provoked by it, saying, where is our God? Where is the God of Elijah? Why would God allow it? In an attempt, the Bible says, to carry away the regimes, to carry you away with the flood. The dragon was angry with the woman and went to make war with the women of her seed which keep the commandments of God and have the testimonies of Jesus Christ. You know what the devil's trying to do? He's trying to provoke you like he's provoking the whole world. And I'll tell you how to do it. Satan will enter into your... an unconverted boss, into his heart. He'll enter into someone in your family that's an open door to the devil. And Satan will provoke you by going sometimes closer to you. He'll provoke you on the job by someone who doesn't like you. The devil knows it. And he'll be there to bait you. It's the devil doing it himself. It's a flood. And I tell you who you are. If you're the holy seed of Christ, Satan's declared war on you. I'm telling you, the more you set your heart on Jesus, the more you ache after Him, the more you yearn after Him, you are marked. You're on the very front line. If you've set your heart to obey the Lord and you're walking close to Jesus, you've become the prime target of everything out of hell. Do you see what the devil's doing to Israel right now? Little tiny Israel, 4 million people. Do you see how Satan is already entering into the leaders of the world? Not only Russia, not only Arabs, but now India. And now the United States is changing and Satan is trying everything in his power to mobilize against tiny little Israel. Because anywhere there's a seed, anywhere, natural seed, spiritual seed, he's there to wipe it out. To destroy it. But especially, he's coming against individual believers. Do you know that every Christian home where Christ rules his supreme is under attack? Do you know that your marriage is under attack? I tell you now, I'd look you in the face and tell you in all authority of God's words that your marriage, if it's not being tested now, in the next year or so, it's going to be tested like it's never been tested since you've known your husband or wife. You're going to have winds and waves, you're going to have floods sweep through your home, you're going to have it with your children, you're going to have it everywhere you turn. The devil is going to come and try to provoke your emotions and put you on an emotional rollercoaster, put you up and down and hot and cold and try to discourage you, put the blues and depression on you. He's going to attack your nerves. He's going to try to weary the saints, the Bible says. That's all powerful prophecy. See the gift before church. You don't have to turn to it, but it's in Daniel. You might want to mark it, the great chapter of Daniel. There's a powerful prophecy that I've not seen before. And I want to read this verse to you. Daniel 9, 26. And after three storms, two weeks, the Messiah be cut off. That's Jesus. After three storms, two weeks, the Messiah be cut off, and that's Himself. And the people of the Prince, which have come, shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. Now listen to this. And the end thereof shall be with the flood. The end thereof shall be with the flood. You know that we're going out, you that are going to hear the word, and you're going to rise by faith and see that Jesus sits clean in the flood. You and I are, once you, the judgment does begin in the house of God, but once you come under judgment, once you've repented, once you've turned from your wicked ways, you're no longer under judgment. The world is under judgment. The wicked are under judgment. But it says it so. The end thereof shall be with the flood until the end of the war. The end of this spiritual war, desolations are determined. And then back in Daniel, the second chapter, I'll just read it to you quickly. The second chapter, verse 4 and 5 of Daniel 2. Let's see, I think it's... Let me give you a background of it here. Daniel saw God coming as the Son of Jesus Christ. It's the testimony of the stone that comes out of the mountain. I get the wrong reference to it, but here's the story. It's very, very familiar. Daniel saw this vision of a great beast, and he saw a stone carved out of the mountain and coming down and crossing every other kingdom. What is that stone? Jesus Christ, and the Bible says, in the midst of a flood on the last day, when the kingdoms of darkness looked they were about to prevail, that stone is going to come rolling down out of the mountain and cross everything in its sight. I hear the thunder of that rock coming down out of the mountain, carved without hands, right out of the mountain. That's Jesus Christ and His Holy Kingdom. Hallelujah. I've got to move on very quickly. The devil is willing to sacrifice... Listen closely. The devil, forget it you, forget it every true believer, the devil is willing to sacrifice all of his angels, he's willing to sacrifice every child of the devil, every single wicked person that belongs to his kingdom, he's willing to sacrifice it all to get to you and get to the church. Do you know that he's willing to sacrifice his whole kingdom, all the kings of the world, if Jesus were just near before him? Did you ever see the picture of the Ayatollah Khomeini when he was sending his troops against the Iraqi artillery tanks? I mean, the Iraqi government has set up just battalions and battalions of these huge guns. The Ayatollah Khomeini gathered up all the teenage boys of Iran and some of them had no weapons at all. And they were promised eternal life. And it was considered an honor if they would go up and give their bodies as a sacrifice. Hundreds of thousands of teenage Iranian boys were sacrificed without even weapons. Were mowed down like animals. If a madman possessed of the devil like Khomeini would offer all of his teenagers, what's the devil going to offer to get at you and me and the church? He's willing to give up everything he has to destroy your faith. And once you see that, once you realize what we're up against, then you're going to rejoice in what I'm about to tell you before this message is finished. This is Satan's last provocation against the church. Satan's determined to swamp God's people. You know, all the prophets of God predicted the way it's going to be just in the midst of this flood. They described this flood in so many words. In fact, Isaiah chapter 60, you can follow me if you want. I know it's pretty dark here in the church. We don't have enough lights yet here in the theater. But you can just follow me if you will. Isaiah 60, verse 1. Arise, shine. For the light has come. The glory of the Lord has risen upon thee. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth and gross darkness the people. But the Lord shall arise upon thee and His glory shall be seen upon thee. All the prophets, Isaiah 60, predicted in the last day when this flood came, there'd be a spirit of darkness, gross darkness. What that means is a spirit of gloom. A spirit of gloom. Do you see that around you today? A spirit in the world of gloom makes hearts failing them for fear. You can go to Zechariah. You don't have to turn there, but Zechariah. Let's go first to chapter 59. It's right here, 59 also, as well as in Zechariah. But look at chapter 59. Isaiah's describing what this last day flood's going to be like. In verse 9. Therefore is judgment far from us. Neither does justice overtake us. We wait for light, get behold obscurity for brightness, but we walk in darkness. Hear what that's saying? That the courts of the land, the justice system, is going to be broken down. We're seeing that right now. That's the part of the flood. The breakdown of all justice. Including the Supreme Court. Verse 10. Success says that mankind are going to grope like blind men looking for the wall. Verse 10. We grope for the wall like the blind. We grope as if we had no eyes. We stumble at noon. Is it in the night? We guess we're placed as dead men. Verse 12. Said the sins are going to cry out against us. In verse 14. Truth is going to fall in the streets. Judgment is turned away backward. Justice stands afar. Truth is falling in the streets. Iniquity cannot enter. But you know in Zechariah, the 14th chapter, in the 12th or 15th verses, the Bible predicts that Prophet Zechariah said there's going to be a total breakdown of law and order. And this breakdown of law and order is going to end up in a hydrogen holocaust around the world. There's no doubt in my mind. That's beyond question in my thinking. I know there's going to be a hydrogen holocaust. I know God's going to destroy America by fire. That's beyond question as far as I'm concerned. Interpretation of the Bible. But there's going to be a whole breakdown of law and order. You go home and study Zechariah, you have the 13th chapter, verse 12 to 15. I don't know if you saw this week's U.S. News and World Report. It's called Murder Zones. America's full of its own Beiruts where drug lords reign and no cops dare to tread. Dead Zones. Whole sections of our urban American cities are being written off as Badlands. Places where cops fear to go. And they say this is Beirut, USA. It says it's a war that we're losing. They've named ten cities, including New York City, where they're whole sections. Every day, there's haunting pictures of the dead being carried off in body bags. Angry, grieving families of commandos breaking down doors of dilapidated buildings. Armed gangs and wounded children. Of burned out cars and flashes of gunfire all night long. It's become an urban war zone. Young men going around with sawed-off shotguns and Uzis. Los Angeles gang members are ruling their communities with an awful show of force. They're expressed as if they're killing someone as Booyah, which is the sound of a sawed-off shotgun. Civil authorities have said that law and order has basically broken down. New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, Miami, Cleveland, East St. Louis, Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta, New Orleans, Houston, Dallas, Oakland, Los Angeles. These war zones are places where the concentrated violence has risen so high all the city services are barely functioning. They're not simply because workers and administrators are redlining the area, but they're afraid to go in for their very lives. These local Beiruts look like war zones. Unmaintained public housing, literally crumbling, garbage piled obscenely in all the vacant lots, attracting haulers who illegally dump tons more from their trucks. Ambulances, firefighters, utility workers request police escorts, and often they refuse to go into those communities. Governor Mario Cuomo of New York said, I don't see how we can manage this problem anymore. It's possible. You won't be able to solve this problem. That's how horrible it's gotten. We won't be able to solve it. We've finally reached the place where we've run out of our American ingenuity. We have it in our wall. Americans can do anything. No, Americans can't stop. We have murder in our cities. There's a murder in New York every five hours now. Call a breakdown of law and order and we're headed for anarchy. And it's a part of the flood. I read a heart-breaking story in the paper yesterday of a man in Brooklyn that broke my heart when he said, he said two years ago, he's talking to a reporter, two years ago, all hell broke loose here in New York. That's when crack hit the city in America. He said there's a flood of violence now that's so bad we're becoming numb to it. He said two years ago, I cried when I saw a dog lying dead on my street, killed by a car accident. He said last week, I saw a man shot dead in the same spot and I felt nothing. It didn't move me. He said, what's happening to me? Two years ago, I cried over a dead dog. Now I feel nothing for a dead man. We've allowed things in two years to get so bad, nothing moves us or rouses us to action anymore. Isn't that sad? Isn't it true? I had a taste of this flood this past week. We have some people that are sitting here tonight that are attending this church that are homeless and they sleep in the subways. And I heard about it and I asked them to take me down this past week, Wednesday night. I went down. And I don't know whether you realize that there's a whole underground city here in New York. There are thousands of people sleeping in places that you wouldn't even walk in, you dare not walk into. And so we waited until the police went by, went to the edge of the subway, down 42nd Street. And he said, alright, we slipped around behind the wall, down along Dark Corridor. You know, two precious young men who are college graduates, by the way. Homeless. They've been selling drugs and alcohol. They've been coming to this church and they've quit using drugs and alcohol even though they haven't been able yet to find a job. And yet, I believe one of them is going to go to Bible school, he's off to go to Bible school, he feels a call of God. But they took me down there and showed me their home. And what it was, it was between two subway cars that's about six feet in there where the subway workers keep their tools and some of the railroad ties. Full of rats. And the grease from the wheels. And they had cardboard laid down and some old blankets. And they said, Pastor, that's our home. I said, what about the rats? He said, oh, we know them now. That's Ralphie and that's... Hold it, please. He said, you wake up and you look and you see beady eyes looking at you. He said, we try to feed them over here so they won't come over here. But do you know that under the wall there's a story? And do you know underground central station there are about eight layers? And do you know there are tunnels that you can get lost in? One young man took me down there and said, brother, if you go down there we can't get out. You can get lost in there. And there were hundreds of people living up near 178th Street and some of those areas up there. And under where the train barn is there are somewhat estimated 1,500 people living underground there. 1,500 people living underground. With a whole society underground literally starving. They go out at night and try to get something when they're throwing the donuts out of the shops. They know where they can go once a week if they have food to get a shower. And I looked at that and I felt that flood. I thought, oh God, these are good times. This is the lowest unemployment in the history of the United States right now. Wall Street is booming. These are supposed to be good times. We have 60,000 homeless people in this city. And a whole nation that doesn't know if we brought people from Iowa and showed them what I saw down there I felt a flood. And I felt the devil whisper to my heart where is your God? That's exactly what the flood's all about. I had to resist the devil because he tried to flood me. There was a flood of panic and fear. And I thought, oh God, these are good times. What's going to happen when 50,000 Wall Streeters lose their jobs? When they have to give up their condos? I had some of those poor people on the subway say, Brother Dave, you press them it doesn't mean anything to us. We've been it. We're going to teach them how to live and survive. They called them there was a movie that called these people CHUDs, C-H-U-D-S Catabolistic, humanoid, underground dwellers. They're not CHUDs. They've got souls. I had these young people that took me down there they just had a little light bulb hanging they had their Bibles and one boy, his eyes are getting bad he's trying to study his Bible under that little light. It's a flood, saints. Some of you here tonight you're going through the worst trial in your lifetime. You love the Lord you desire to go all the way with Him you're not wanting to go back to the world but you don't know what's happened you've been swamped. You've been swamped by temptation you've been swamped in your home swamped in your marriage I don't know what it is but you've been swamped. Someone described it like this he said, One day you're sitting out on the beach of God's love soaking in the sunshine of His victory and all of a sudden out of nowhere comes a tidal wave without a warning and just in a moment of time you feel like you're fighting for your very spiritual life. You're sitting there loving the Lord and all of a sudden a flood comes in a tidal wave hits you and you say, Oh God, what happened? What happened? The Lord revealed something to me in prayer this past week. I've been thinking of all the troubled people that we've ministered to thinking about all the people we're counseling living in turmoil in their heart crying themselves to sleep. You'd be surprised how many people that you're sitting near that cry themselves to sleep. I don't know if anyone could ever understand what I'm going through. Some of you would be afraid to tell everything that's in your heart because you'd think not even the pastors would understand. Some of you don't think even God understands. But you're going through something and you can't understand it because you love the Lord so much. And I got to thinking when I was in fact, this message started entirely different. This is not the message I was preparing. Because I was going to get up here and I'm going to really come down on stubbornness. And I was going to say to you who are troubled and you who are burdened the reason you're like that is because you're not praying you're not reading your Bible you're stubborn there's no reason to let the devil walk over you. But the devil had a lesson or God had a lesson for me to learn. You see, I'm going to stand up and I'm going to tell you in all uncertain terms it's not necessary for you to have to go on living like that. If you get rid of your stubbornness you need to pray more and study the Bible more. Get everything to be alright. But God showed me there's a time for correction and then there's a time for His mighty arm to come forward because somebody's under an attack. But it's not stubbornness it's not rebellion it's something that is beyond their power. God touched us so beautifully this morning yes, these are the last days the devil's coming but it's not always coldness it's not always stubbornness it's not always rebellion it's something you don't understand it's beyond you. Does that describe somebody here tonight? Well, you... so I don't understand I thought I was further along in the Lord than that I thought I'd really reached the place walking in holiness and righteousness and suddenly something slipped into your life it makes you ashamed you say, God I didn't think I'd ever have this kind of thought I didn't think I'd ever do anything like that again in my lifetime. You see the devil provoked David to sin and he's trying to provoke you to sin to forget your holy God and to rob you of your peace with the Lord. Now I'm telling you now that doesn't rule out the fact that many people because of their stubbornness and their rebellion are going through this we've preached that you know we've preached that from this pulpit we'll never take that back I may have to stand here next Sunday night or Bob or Don or Gary we may have to stand up and preach against stubbornness. But you see there comes a time where God says no, that's not what my people need now they've been corrected and if you correct my people tonight when they're being flooded and need a rope they don't need a hammer tonight they need a rope. And I didn't understand it at first and then the Lord took me to Isaiah 35 now I want you to go to Isaiah 35 and I want to show you the glory of the last days the glory of the last days Hallelujah I want to say something to you that are being swamped by the flood you know the devil's trying to tear you away don't you? You know that that thing that you're going through right now is an absolute attack out of hell Isaiah 35 verse 3 Strengthen ye the weak hands Confirm the feeble knees Say to them that are of a fearful heart Be strong, fear not Behold your God will come with vengeance Even God with a recompense He will come and save you He's not talking only to Israel of the flesh It's directed to the in fact in the previous chapter it's said to all nations in fact chapter 35 verse 1 and 2 All nations, let the earth fear and all that is therein the indignation is upon all nations not just Israel all nations, all people This is a message not just for Israel it's a message for the church too it includes Israel Listen to verse 3 and 4 again Strengthen ye the weak hands Support your feeble knees Say to them that are of a fearful heart Be strong, fear not Now it's one thing for a preacher to stand up and say Strengthen yourself Get a hold of some courage but then you've got to have something to back that up Where are you going to get that? Well, here it is Go to Isaiah 59 I'll show it to you Isaiah 59 If it doesn't make you shout with joy then nothing in the Bible doesn't make you shout with joy So shall they fear verse 19 Isaiah 59 So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west and his glory from the rising of the sun when the enemies that come in like a flood the spirit of the Lord shall raise up a standard against him and the Redeemer shall come to Zion and unto them that turn from transgression and take the faith of the Lord Listen to me now Here's the glory of the last days I wasn't there when Jesus was crucified I didn't see it I wasn't there during the resurrection I didn't see it I missed that but I'm not missing the next glorious thing We're not going to miss this Hallelujah It's a wonderful day to be alive because in the middle of the flood we're not only going to see God come down and judge the wicked like we're seeing right now God says the world and the inhabitants there are going to see the devil come down unto you having great wrath The Lord just read to you from Isaiah the thirty-fifth chapter the promise of a holy God Get straight Buckle up because I'm coming down Redeemers come unto Zion We are going to see God come down as he's never come in any generation We're going to see him take control We're going to see the rock crush our enemies Glory be to God He will put on his garments of vengeance for clothing He will clothe himself with zeal He will come with fury to recompense our adversaries Hallelujah Do you know God's always been with his people He's always been a strong power It's like the old testament You say, didn't God come down and deliver the people? Yes But oh, the Bible said even men are going to watch worse and worse and the Bible makes it very clear that it's after the death of Jesus and that the flood will accelerate and the worst of the flood comes at the last wind-up of time we upon whom the ends of the world have come that we who are at the end time are going to see grace like no generation have ever seen grace We're going to see God come down when we're the most discouraged thinking it's hopeless and God's going to come down and say, let me take over Let me take over We sing, our God's a man of war He's going to come and he's going to fight our battles Hallelujah An angry devil's going to meet a holy God It's written, where sin abounds grace is much more abound Hallelujah Let me show you something, please Based on that Where sin abounds, grace is much more abound Do you remember when Israel was cornered at the Red Sea? Pharaoh was behind them Right? Nothing but the sea Great army They're so helpless, they don't know what to do You know what that army represents? The devil and all the demonic hordes coming against them There you are, the Red Sea You're helpless You say, I don't know what to do, Lord I've fasted, I've prayed, I've wept, I've cried I don't know how anymore And I'm telling you What we're in now, folks, is beyond human help God was saying something to us He's saying something What's happening is beyond your human power It's beyond your ability to cope with Don't try to win the victory yourself So what did they do? What did God say to Israel? Fear not Stand still And see the salvation of the Lord The Lord shall fight for you You shall hold your peace Glory to God The Lord will fight for you Moses stood up before the congregation He said, you shall not fear For the Lord's your God He is it who shall fight for you And I'll tell you what If he's going to do that in the Old Testament How much more now when we've got a mad devil in our tail? God's going to come down and say I'm not going to lose my church to the devil I'm not going to let my people stand alone I'm coming down with all the glory of heaven David stood up against the giant He said, God's going to deliver you into your hands For the battle is the Lord's He will give you into my hands The battle is the Lord's The battle's not between you and me and the devil The battle's between God and the devil Christ and the devil We stand in eternal grace Sanctified by his blood Resisting the devil Believing in his mercies Walking in repentance And then stand still and see the salvation of our God Hallelujah God came down and helped me this past week My wife is away for a couple of weeks In Texas, resting Residents very weary And just absolutely worn down to the ground And physically not feeling well And in that, that's how the devil comes He came to David when he had him down and weary And hide in a cave And the tactic was, let's go and get him while he's weary And when you're weary and tired That's when the enemy comes and lies And so she went home And during the past few weeks God bless her heart And I'm sure she won't mind me telling you Because she's been here the tape anyhow So I'm measuring my words And the Holy Spirit made it clear to me That I had to measure every word I'm telling you now But I have to tell you that Because sometimes people in congregation Get the idea that their pastors are gods And they don't suffer And they don't go through trials just like you do We go through trials, we cry I've noticed I cry myself to sleep many nights And sometimes we don't See I don't believe in just This idea of being vulnerable to a congregation But there's a point to what I'm sharing with you tonight And this emotional despair that hit her I wasn't as understanding as I should be Because she was so torn emotionally One of her very best friends Has cancer spreading through her body And that tore her up And she felt like She was not fulfilling her Ministering here in the church Didn't have enough love And she just felt absolutely helpless She said, I feel useless And her very words David, you deserve somebody better than me And I'll tell you I didn't understand it I called her back I hadn't hung up a few minutes Since she was in total despair And I called her up again And I thought it was holy anger I thought it was the zeal of the Holy Ghost And I said, Gwen I'm your shepherd As well as a shepherd One of the shepherds of the church And I'm the high priest in my home I said, honey, I love you more than I've ever loved you But I don't want you to come back until you settle this I want you to get a hold of God Maybe you haven't been reading your Bible Maybe you haven't been praying And it's true, the last six weeks or so She's been so burdened down And struggling with a terrible tiredness And a weariness and a sense of Not being what she should be in the Lord And feeling she was not playing her part And her role And these are all This is all part of the flood that I'm talking about And I said, Gwen, don't let the devil Roll over you like a steamroller That's wrong, that's sin And I found myself yelling at her Using the word as a hammer She walked And I was so flabbergasted What I'd done I hung up and I went in the living room And I said, I'm sorry I'll call you back when I get the victory I'm sorry, I said it wrong I didn't mean it to come out that way And I went in the living room and sat down And it just took me I didn't feel like praying I didn't feel like And I knew I had to stand here today And still didn't have the words that I wanted Didn't have a hold of it And I said, oh God, where did that come from? Where did that temper, if that wasn't the Holy Ghost That was temper I thought I had victory over that Lord, she didn't need a lecture She needed a rope She needed hope And I pushed her down And I feel like when that happens to you It drives you down I felt so bad, I wanted to crawl under a rock I said, Lord, I How can I stand up and preach When I do these stupid, dumb things She's had five operations With cancer I don't even understand suffering like she's gone through And here I am, the holy man of God We have a lot of people like that When they see sin in the church And compromise, they're getting ahold of God Saying, oh God, bring it down God took this church and all of its compromise That's a pious hypocrisy from hell There's no love in that God showed it to me, said, David You can't preach holiness until you have love And I said, Lord I don't even feel like praying And you know what the Lord spoke to my heart I'm waiting for a lecture I'm waiting for the condemnation of the guilt to roll over me And I said, Lord, I'm so dry I don't even feel like praying And what the Lord said to my heart, David You're under attack Don't panic, just stand still You're not hurt for your much speaking anyhow Sometimes you use too many words with me anyhow Just sit still And trust me And love me I'm going to take care of this one I'm taking care of this one No guilt No condemnation And the Lord said, within the hour I will have solved Gwen's problem The Holy Ghost has already touched her She's coming out of it Next time you talk, you're going to be glory and victory And there's sure enough it was Hallelujah Hallelujah Tell you what We have a God who loves His church We have a Christ who loves His body His own body, it's His own flesh It's His own body, it's His own bone I don't care what you're going through right now The Lord's got you in His hand And not going to let you go He's going to stand with you on this last day When the enemy comes in like a flood He's going to raise up the standard And that standard is His strong arm His strong and holy arm of deliverance Hallelujah I'm going to keep preaching on sin like I've never preached it But I'm going to preach into the broken heart I believe we have He said I'll pour water on him that's thirsty And floods upon the dry ground Are you dry? You going through a dry spell? You're the number one candidate then for a flood from heaven He said, on the thirsty dry ground I'll pour out my water Glory be to God Just hold steady, God's about to baptize you or something Behold I will do a new thing Now it says spring forth So you not know it I will even make a way in your wilderness And rivers in your desert Behold I will give you waters in your wilderness And rivers in the desert To give you drink to my people Hallelujah You know what else He's going to do? He's going to keep your foot on the path of holiness He's going to chase the devil away from you He's going to put a song in your heart It's all there, let's read it Isaiah 35 I'm going to close in just a moment This is the end of side 1 You may now turn the tape over to side 2 Chapter 35 Do you believe His word? Would you look again at verse 4? The last sentence of chapter 4 He will come and save you Is that in your Bible? Look at me now, give me your good ear and your good eye Now that's in your Bible Now you either believe that or you don't Now I'm telling you right now, that's a promise right out of God's word And you can bank on it God's going to come down and deliver you He's going to personally, physically come down In glory, He's going to come down And God Himself is going to come down and inhabit you He abides you on earth But there's going to be a special glorious infusion That's the glory of these last days That in spite of all the flood, He said He's the king of the flood And He's just going to take His people above the head In the ark, we're in the ark We're going to ride this flood out, right into the glory of Jesus Christ Hallelujah Then shall the lame man, verse 6 The lame man shall leap as a heart And the tongue of the dumb shall sing For in the wilderness shall waters break out With streams in the desert The parched grounds shall become a pool With thirsty lands springs of water In the habitation of dragons Where each name shall be grass and weeds and russes And a highway shall be there And a way that shall be called the way of holiness The unclean shall not pass there But it shall be for those The wayfaring men, they're fools Shall not err therein No lion shall be there Who is the lion? The devil is the lion A roaring lion seeking to destroy The lion, the lion No lion, no lion shall be there Nor any rodless beast shall go up there And thereon it shall not be found there But the redeemed shall walk there And the ransomed of the Lord Shall return And come designed with songs And everlasting joy Upon their heads They shall obtain joy and gladness And sorrow and sighing Shall flee away Hallelujah That's the glory of these last days That you can, you can Weep over the abortion You can grieve over Uh, what Society is doing You can weep and grieve And yet, in just a moment of time The Lord turns it to glory And joy So that even your sorrow, in your sorrow He goes rejoicing Because he rides king of the flood I'm telling you church He's loving us tonight He's trying to tell you I'm not going to let you go I'm not going to let you go, I love you too much It's over your head, yes Feel like you're going to sink No, because he's going to pull you out Hallelujah Don't worry, don't get worried Don't get worried He said you trust me now Don't turn back your ways You've repented But brother and sister Don't claim these promises unless you've repented But if you're an honestly repented soul Lord I want to walk that highway of heaven God said I'll keep you on it You want your feet on the highway, I'll keep your feet on it I'll come down and I'll walk with you Hallelujah Will you stand please Oh Jesus help us God we are going to have to have help We have to have help We heard your heart cry When brother Fultz was weeping this morning Over your burden Lord We hear it and feel it again tonight Lord we're helpless We're so dependent on you Come down Holy Spirit Come oh Redeemer of Zion Come to your people Oh God Rescue us Save us from the wicked one Will you believe God tonight Like you've never believed before Lord you're going to deliver me From the clutches of the enemy The devil not going to destroy me For greater is he that is in me Than he that is in the world Greater is he that is in me Than he that is in the world Greater is he that is in me Thank you Do you know that greater is he that is in me Let's sing that Greater is he Could you get that microphone too and help us on that Greater is he that is in me Do you believe that Than he that is in the world Than he that is in the world Than he that is in the world Than he that is in the world That sea that is in the world Hallelujah, we believe that Lord. We believe that tonight. But I ask tonight, if you're having a battle, You're in a flood, that tidal wave has hit you, it's brought discouragement to you. I want you to get out of your seat and come and ask God to come tonight. I'm going to ask God to come down right here in this church, come with the people, up in the balcony, would you just go to the exit signs there, down the stairs, and come and join us, and you that are here. If you're not walking with God, or you've slipped, or you've grown cold, you've felt backslidden, you've felt unworthy, the devil's tried to put a trip on you, ah, he's burdened you down with something, bring it to Jesus tonight. Would God come down and set you free, for greater is He that is in us. Sing it again, greater is He that is in us, and come and join us. Greater is He that is in me, oh, greater is He that is in me, greater is He that is in the world, greater is He that is in me, greater is He that is in me, oh, greater is He that is in me, greater is He that is in the world, greater is He that is in me, greater is He that is in me, oh, greater is He that is in me, greater is He that is in the world, greater is He that is in me, greater is He that is in me, oh, greater is He that is in me, greater is He that is in the world, in me, greater is He that is in me, oh, greater is He that is in me, greater is He that is in the world. God is greater. Hallelujah. God is greater than all our problems, all of our sins. You that are here, do you believe your faith tonight, God's going to lift it? Raise both hands. Raise both hands. Call me a believer right now. Lord, I believe it. I believe you. You've got power to come down and deliver me. There's no demon and no devil in hell that can hold me. Nothing can hold me. My sins can't hold me. The devil can't hold me. My lies can't hold me. My emotions can't hold me. God, nothing can hold us. Glory. Greater is He that is in us. Greater is He that is in us. Glory to God. Greater is He that is in us. Worship with us. Hallelujah. Glory to God. Keep your hands raised. I want you, I don't want to lead you in a prayer. I want you to pray out of your heart and say, Jesus, set me free. Lord, break the chain. Come on, you pray right now. No one asked to lead you. Say, God, break the chain. Set me free tonight. Tell Him right now. Pray right out loud. Jesus, set me free. Take all the burden of sin. I trust you. Come on, talk to Him right now. Talk to the Lord Jesus while you're standing here. You're up there. Talk to Him right now out of your heart. Tell Him what's on your heart. Tell Him all about it. Say, Lord, you know what it is. Take it and break the chains that bind me. Set me free tonight. Put love in my heart. Put faith in my heart. Put confidence in my heart. Break the chains that bind me. Break every chain that binds me tonight. Hallelujah. Do you believe God's doing that right now? I said, do you believe God's doing that right now? Yes, He is. Let Him take you all night. He's here to set you free. You can put your hands down for just a minute. How many of you that are standing up here? You're here in Times Square Church. You've come forward for the first time in Times Square Church. Would you raise your hand, please? Would you raise your hand? Your first time to come forward? I'd like all of you that have come for the first time to come to our counseling room to be prayed with. We'd like to stand with you in prayer for a miracle. Would you turn this way? Look, you're right through the crowd. And go right that stage. I shall show you where to go. We're going downstairs, and we'll meet with you there and share and pray with you for a miracle. All those who are here for the first time at this altar, would you just make your way right through? Let these people go through. From over here also that held your hand up for the first time, just follow these that are going into the prayer room. There's going to be a miracle happen. A miracle is going to take place. God bless you. Folks, we're going to stay, and the Lord is going to come down upon us here in just a minute. In great, glorious, copious showers of blessing. Hallelujah. Do you know that showers of blessing? You know that, but He doesn't know that? In just a moment, we may just sing that. He said, I'm going to pour rain out on dry ground. If you're dry tonight, just hold steady. You're about to get a flood. Glory to Jesus. I want the rest of you. We'll wait for these that are going out. I want the rest of you to join the choir that are up here. They're up here, and you're down here. And we're going to make this one massive whole place. We're going to make this a choir tonight. We're just going to have a great time praising the Lord. We're going to thank Him. Listen, what's the Bible say? God inhabits. That means He comes down during the praises. He comes down. That's the message. The glory of last days is the coming of God's Spirit and greater blessing, greater glory than we've ever seen. There can be times that you'll be in a meeting where it seems to be dead, nothing happened. God just hits it, just to show us that it's not something we own. It's the grace of God that we're not good enough. Hallelujah. But then some nights I've stood in the pulpit and wondered how to ever get an order. And God just hit me like a bulldozer and says, David, it's not your goodness anyhow. It's my grace. Glory to God. Would you join us tonight for the next 15 minutes or 20 minutes or so? Sister Gwen, you'd mentioned you felt tonight God was going to do something special. I felt it too when I was home this afternoon. You don't work anything up, but God has to have open channels. He has to have vessels ready. If you're in a hurry, we'll let you be dismissed. But if you want to be touched by God tonight, I believe the Lord wants to come and inhabit the praises of His people. And for the next 20 minutes or half an hour, we're going to worship the Lord. You can slip out at any time you want to, but the Lord is here. The Lord is your Father. We're going to go in a time of worship. We want to see your glory upon us, Lord. Come down, O Lord, with encouragement and life. Give us life from heaven tonight. Give us life. Lord, give us that eternal life. That joy of the Lord. The joy of the Lord is my strength. The joy of the Lord is my strength. Let's get out our hands and let's, the Bible says, strengthen your feeble hands. Strengthen them. Worship Him together, spirit and in truth tonight. Let's sing it together. Let's move into His realm of spirit. Hallelujah. He gives me living water, never is another water. He gives me living water, ever is not a water. He gives me living water, I thirst for more, The joy of the Lord is my strength. He gives me living water, I thirst for more, He gives me living water, I thirst for more. He gives me living water, I thirst for more, The joy of the Lord is my strength. The joy of the Lord is my strength, The joy of the Lord is my strength. The joy of the Lord is my strength, The joy of the Lord is my strength. Oh, the joy of the Lord is my strength, The joy of the Lord is my strength. Hallelujah! Oh the Lord does reign! Hallelujah! Oh the Lord does reign! Hallelujah! We will hear Him! This is the conclusion of the tape.
