Zacharias Tanee Fomum

Zacharias Tanee Fomum (1945–2009). Born on June 20, 1945, in Bamenda, Cameroon, to Presbyterian minister Solomon Tanee and Rebecca Angum, Zacharias Tanee Fomum was a Cameroonian evangelist, author, and professor who founded the Christian Missionary Fellowship International (CMFI). Raised in a devout family, he converted to Christianity on June 13, 1956, fully surrendered to Christ’s service in 1966, and was filled with the Holy Spirit in 1970. A brilliant scholar, he earned a BSc with honors from Fourah Bay College, Sierra Leone (1969), a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Makerere University, Uganda (1973), and a D.Sc. from the University of Durham, UK (2005), for his 160+ scientific articles. As a professor at the University of Yaoundé I, he supervised over 100 theses, viewing research as obedience to God’s command to “subdue the earth” (Genesis 1:28). Fomum’s ministry spanned 700 missionary journeys in Cameroon and 500 across 70 nations, planting churches in 130 countries through CMFI. He authored over 350 books, including The Way of Christian Character and The Art of Intercession, with 10 million copies in 100+ languages, emphasizing prayer, holiness, and discipleship. Married to Prisca Zei, a children’s minister, they had seven children, all active in ministry. Fomum died on March 14, 2009, in Yaoundé, saying, “My supreme ambition is to hunger, thirst, and gasp after God.”

Is your conscience hurting you? That's what Brackham mentioned as one of the precipices just a few minutes ago. You see, Ben, I go to an average of 25 nations a year. And in Cameroon, last year I was in 36 localities. I find the saints in very bad shape. Most of them are living in the shadow of their former selves. They're living in the shadow of their former work with God. There's a time they sought God. With all their hearts. There's a time they loved God with all their hearts. There's a time they hated sin with all their hearts. But it's no longer the same. But it's no longer the same. There's a time they were desperate to give God their all. There's a time when God meant everything. There's a time when God was their joy. There's a time they lived exclusively for the glory of God. They were desperate to obey God and damn their consciences. I rarely find people in that condition anymore. Except young converts. That radicalism in calling Jesus. That radicalism of obedience. That radicalism in termination with sin. That commitment to put everything to God's will. It's come to a dead end. Jesus has... They're now looking for something else to satisfy them. Jesus is no longer satisfied. They're backsliders. They've lost their first love. They now understand what they could never have understood in those early days. They're more understanding with the world. The fire of their first love of the Lord. And their unwillingness to compromise. Both conflicts with their families. Conflicts stand there. Now, they have gone back and settled everything. There is now peace. Their families have not accepted Christ. Their families have not accepted Christ. Their homes were places where members of their families could not come because there was so much light. Now, it's not a continuum. The family is there, everything is just... There's not one. It's a one. The worldly friends are back. Everything has become one. The lies they could not tell, the small lies they now tell. God understands. They cannot justify their sin. Something else dies. The God who spoke clearly. Everything is now blurred. By then, if they didn't have the dynamic encounter with God, it was like death. Now, they can go for one or two days. Without dynamic encounter with God. And they just go on. If they didn't read their Bibles any day, they felt like dying. Now, they can go one, two, three, four days. And they are not troubled. By then, they prayed and prayed. They prayed alone. They were talking to God. But prayer is now a difficulty. Except to go to God to try to get something out of God. Except to go to God to try to get something out of God. It's a backslider. It's a person who spends less time with God alone. Now. Than he did in the past. It's a backslider. It's a person who spends less time with God. Alone. Than he did in the past. By then, he was spontaneous to witness. By then, he sought for targets to witness to. By then, he went out with the express purpose of telling to others what Jesus said. By then, he had socks. He had small booklets. He was burdened to release the gospel. He kneeled with sinners to lead them to the Lord. But the backslider has no chance. No booklets. He would talk to people about anything else except Jesus. And even if he mentions Jesus. He would not confront the people with the need to receive the Lord. He would not ask, will you receive the Lord here and now? That is not in the backslider's language. He can go for a week without telling anybody about the Lord. He can spend a month without leading someone to the Lord. He does not remember when he and the sinner last knelt down so that the sinner would receive the Lord. He used to fast. But fasting is out of pleasure. Food is very near. And very dear. It is intimate with food. The fasting life is either completely removed. Or heavily reduced. He used to read Christian literature. It was a thunder for God. For the Bible. And for books that boast of the faith. No, Christian literature is not read. It is not studied. Oh, he has reduced the rate of reading. And he hardly studies. Many books started but not completed. He used to build people. But now, he is building nobody. He had goals to make sure that people were mature. Now he is building nobody. He is building a wall. He used to command people to do things. Do certain things. And supervise. To ensure that they did it. Now he commands nobody. His sin used to trouble him. And the sin of others used to trouble him. Because there were knives into the heart of his Lord. But now, he forgives everybody. He is not troubled. But then if he spoke evil of the Lord. He would throw a knife into his feet. He would speak against those who spoke evil of the Lord. But now he is not disturbed. But then he gave sacrificiality alone. He impoverished himself to make God's kingdom and God's purposes rich. Now he is burdened by his own needs. God can wait. God's kingdom can wait. God's interest can wait. But then if he sinned, he would repent immediately. And he would repent with weeping. Now, his sick eyes are dry. Because the heart is dry. The eyes are dry. He used to pray and weep. He used to weep for the souls of men. The tears are dry. Except the tears of self-pity. And no tears for God's name. No tears for God's purposes. He is back to this. Before he knew what he wanted to do with his life. Now he no longer knows. He may still talk about a goal. But it is just deceit. He does not know where he is going to. He does not know what he wants. Occasionally he does something here and there. There is no supreme vision. There is no supreme commitment. There is no supreme price paid. He has more and more visions for the world. For the things of the world. They take more and more of his time. More and more things of his time. He has betrayed the Lord. He has abandoned him. But now it is other dreams that have filled his heart. Or no dreams at all. He has stopped being a dreamer. He has stopped being a man of vision. He cannot keep God's sight. The offering is minimal. He now scatters God's gifts here and there. So that they may have no kingdom repurposing. He is a man without God. He now gives general counsel. Now before they were very specific. It is of the past. It is of the past. God cannot fill the back ladder with the Holy Spirit. The heart is cold towards God. The heart is cold towards God. Alone with God the heart is cold towards God. It is a cold heart towards God. He may make noise. But alone. It is a cold heart towards God. You know. You of course should work. You need to of course work on your spiritual experience. He sings things that are not true in his life. He sings. He sings joy joy joy. When his heart is frozen with coldness towards God. He sings all to Jesus that I surrender. That he knows what is not surrender. He sings I am sanctified. He knows sin's rules in his life. Inside. He is not satisfied. God has not satisfied him. He is discontent. He is seeking what he doesn't know. You've got to stop. Have you got to put your heart to prayer? What are you doing in North America? You consume the first supreme goal. There can be no supreme passion. And no supreme action. What must happen or you die? What is the supreme vision? Oh you are just like. Yes I am just going by. How old are you? What can you show God for the present age? You double your age and double what you have done. Would it be a subject of praise to God? Would you be satisfied? Would you say I have invested my life? No because these are the realities. This is so close to our subject being through the Holy Spirit. Because the Holy Spirit fills people who have things that they have to do for God or perish. Let me read some of them to you. Gideon in Judges 6 verse 33 The Bible says Now all the Midianites Amalekites and all the Eastern Jews joined forces and crossed over the Jordan and came to the valley of Jezreel Against Gideon You have to fight for God You have to fight for God The cross of God was at stake Gideon and the people of God Against a massive army of the enemy Without divine intervention He would be ruined Verse 34 When the sword of the Lord came upon Gideon The sword of the Lord came upon Gideon The sword of the Lord came upon a soldier of Christ upon a soldier of Christ With a massive army of the enemy against him His only deliverance was that God's power came upon him I'm dancing around in circles Around me after this After I'm here After I'm here After this here After this For the Holy Spirit to come upon him Why? What he needs is that the spirit of loss to fall upon him and the spirit of the convoys A massive confederation of the armies of the enemy Against Gideon Then the spirit of the Lord came upon him So that he would destroy the enemies Destroy the enemies of the Lord The prerequisite for being filled with the Holy Spirit is that the cross of God should be at stake That the ultimate cross of God should be at stake That a man has one thing that he must do before God or perish That a man has one thing that he must do before God or perish That a man has one thing for God for God for which he has used all the strength of his life for which he has invested all the strength of his life and it was not enough and he had to have power from above that he would cry to God and the power of God would come upon him in order to release this Bishop of God But for an indulgent people totally at ease or inflamed with the love of the world Inflamed with the glory of the world Inflamed with the prepositions of the world The Holy Spirit can only withdraw The Holy Spirit can only withdraw What is at stake? I would like you to be honest with yourself What is at stake? The next incident that the children of Israel were sold in the hands of the Philistines and the Ammonites Judges 10 verse 8 It is true that for 18 years shattered and crushed For 18 years they oppressed all the Israelites from the east side of the Jordan and Gilead The land of the Ammonites The Ammonites also crossed the Jordan to fight against Judah and the House of Ephraim and Israel was in great distress We have sinned Do us whatever you think best but please raise us now Then? In the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit Amen The God-Beat of the foreign Gods among them, and save the Lord, in the crisis of it, in chapter 11, verse 29. Then the Lord came upon Jephthah. Jephthah was the deliverer. Then the Lord came upon Jephthah, because his road was in great distress. He caused Gilead a manatee, and passed through many parts of Gilead, and from there passed against the Ammonites. Verse 32. Then Jephthah went over to fight the Ammonites, and the Lord gave them into his hands. He devastated twenty towns from Arwaia to the vicinities of Minith, as far as Ebel Karamin. He fought them hard from Arwaia to Minith, twenty towns, and to Abel Kar-Tiraim. And the Ammonites were humiliated before the Gods. The throne of the Lord was in danger. The people of God were in great distress. He needed a man upon whom the Holy Spirit was to lead the armies of God. Now, could you take her out please? It was an emergency. It was a crisis. God had to set in. God had to set in. And there was a man upon whom the Spirit of God was to come. And the Spirit of the Lord came upon him, and he led the armies of God. He devastated twenty towns, and among those subjects. The Spirit of God will come upon you first. It is not the spirit of entertainment. It can be love. What is heartache? What is heartache? Into what have you invested your all? And yet you are in trouble. So God must intervene supernaturally. Samson was destined to be a deliverer of Israel. In chapter 14 verse 5 Samson went down to Timnah together with his father and mother. As they approached the vineyard of Timnah suddenly a young lion came towards him a young lion to destroy the deliverer It was a crisis hour. The devil decided that this lion would destroy the deliverer. God's providence was at stake. Samson's life was in extreme danger. And for the first time the Spirit of the Lord came upon him in power. The Spirit of the Lord came upon him in power. So that he tore the lion apart with his bare hands The Spirit of the Lord came upon him this time in power. The Spirit of the Lord came upon the others but now the Spirit of the Lord came upon him in power. So it was a higher anointing and he took the lion and tore it as if it was a goat and the deliverer was saved. Secondly Samson had to pay his debts to the Philistines Verse 19 Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon him in power. He went down to Acheron chopped down 30 of their men stripped them of their belongings and gave their clothes to those who had explained the reason. Burning with anger, he went down to his father's house. He burned with anger against nothing. He burned with anger against what? It is not possible that the Holy Spirit can pull off anything. You understand everything. You are totally at ease. You understand that they should be free. You understand the fact that the people have nothing to go with. You understand that they should be a few people in their family instead of thousands. You understand that they should be a few people in their family instead of thousands. And you say, well, someday something will happen. What shall happen? You are content with badness. You are content with badness. You are content with pain. You are not shocked. You are not shocked that every month only somebody say Lord. You are not surprised with barrenness and negativity. You are not troubled. That is good, they come and go, they come and go. You are not troubled. You are not frustrated in the Lord. You have not produced another leader or other leader. You are not troubled. After five years, you don't have a team around you. You are not troubled. You are not frustrated in the Lord. You are not a great guy to suffer. You have not produced children for the Lord. You must not speak. You are not troubled by the corruption around. People come and tell about the corruption and you say softly, softly. The country is like that. It is fully sold. A certain man quarreled with his wife. They went to the man's father. The man came and told his story to the father. The father said, you are right, you are right, you are right. After that, his wife came and told her own story. Exactly the opposite of the story the father told. The father said, you are right, you are right, you are right, you are right. The child who was sitting there said to the father. The child who was sitting there said, Grandpa, if the father said this and the mother said the opposite, both of them cannot be right. The child who was sitting there said to the father. Grandpa, if the father said this and the mother said the exact opposite, both of them cannot be right. They told the child, you are right, you are right, you are right. They told the child, you are right, you are right, you are right. Your heart is big enough to contain every evil. All corruption. You understand. You agree with the Republicans and you agree with the Democrats. You agree with the liberals and you agree with the conservatives. You are inflamed against nothing. You stand against nothing. You speak against nothing. You work against nothing. You are moved by nothing. You can afford the luxury of non-engagement. You can afford the luxury of non-engagement. You are only looking for your selfish gains. Only one person. You are not a candidate to fill the Holy Spirit. Why should the Holy Spirit trouble a man? Let sleeping dogs lie. Let sleeping dogs lie. You cry before God about nothing. There are no cries in your life. There is no mourning in your life. There are no tears. There is no anguish. You live in a fool's paradise. Someone said the sufferer thinks. The sufferer thinks. The fool eats and sleeps. And lives in a world of imaginary happiness. Separate from the reality. Samson was fighting God battles. He had one vision to eliminate the Philistines. In Septuagint, verse 8. He attacked them viciously and slaughtered many of them. Then he went down and stayed in the cave of Merocca, verse 8. The Philistines went up and camped in Judah. And the men of Judah asked, Why have you come to fight us? We have come to take Samson prisoner. To do to him as he has done with us. When you have smashed and crushed the devil too long. Where are the marks of your crushing of the devil too long? Whenever Samson went, he did harm to the devils. He did harm to the Israelites. He did harm. He did harm. He did harm to the Philistines. He did harm to the Philistines. They have not met in heaven even once to discuss it. As far as hell is concerned, you don't exist. You are not a trouble of hell. I went to British Ghana to preach. I went to British Ghana to preach. One morning I just started jogging. I jogged for 6 kilometers. Then I started jogging to come back. I started to get tired. So I was jogging slowly. I met somebody. He said, suffer, suffer, suffer. He didn't know me. I was one of them in colours. He said, suffer, suffer, suffer. I kept jogging. Then I met somebody else. He kicked me. Come on, go, go, go. None of the two men knew me. Yes, they were the ones who said, suffer, suffer, suffer. There is no spirit of war here. There is no spirit of beating. There is no spirit of cupping. There are no plans to put down the devil's kingdom. There are no plans to demonize the devil's kingdom. There are no plans to win the greatest number of people in the shortest time for the Lord Jesus Christ. There are no projects to which you have sold your heart and in which the Holy Spirit must descend rapidly. For your failure is utter. Your life and ministry are planned in such a way that you don't need God to continue as you are going on. No, no, you don't need God to continue the ministry as it is going on. Once a week there is somebody saved. And you clap and bless God. There is no God. Give me six. Give me six people every four days. Go take my life. There is nothing in sick. Suffer, suffer, suffer. Verse fourteen. When he arrived in Lehi, the peasants burst into flames when they met him. They burned their ears in fire. The horns that he had in his hands, like linen, were burned by the flames. And his hands were tied with chains. He found a donkey's jaw. He grabbed it and struck down a thousand men. The peasant said, with a donkey's jawbone I have made a dump of them. With a donkey's jawbone I have killed a thousand men. When he had finished speaking, he threw away the jawbone and the place was called Ramat Lehi. Because he was very thirsty. He cried out to the Lord, that you yourself should not get this thing. Must I now die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised? Then the Lord opened the fallow place in Lehi. And water came out of it. God had to perform a miracle to give a drink to his victorious soldier. When something drank, his tongue returned and he revived. If you want to be honest, you are knowing that there is no need. But if the Holy Spirit came upon you, you will be a big mistake. He will empower you for it. I am so proud of you. God reigns over you. The need you want to serve, the need is possible. He gave you victory for your kingdom and the soul of the Lord was overcome. You have many souls and power. A soldier of the Lord, with a purpose and goodness. If it doesn't help you, it leads you to repudiation. The desire of your sin has become light and cold. Your tears have become distressed and cold. You have realized that forgiveness is not on my heart, to confront the sinners, to confront the people who need Christ and to bring them to you. I confess that I find myself more and more shy of the Lord. I am overwhelmed by shame and fear of confronting people. I bow down to the Lord. I have had many opportunities. I have appropriated them. I try to present the gospel. I am not aggressive. Forgive me, Lord. Forgive me for winning the lost, Lord. For winning them in great numbers. For winning them and beating them. For winning the black and the white. I pray that this forgiveness takes hold of me so that I can be qualified to be filled with the Holy Spirit. There is a purpose for which I want to be filled with the Holy Spirit. And that this be true before God. And that this be true before God. And that I be filled with the Holy Spirit. My heart has become cold. I do not worry about anything anymore. The Lord looks at me. I can go to hell without being worried. The Lord accepts me. My daily meetings have become light. My heart has become deeper. Because there is nothing that is at stake. Oh God, oh Father, have pity on me. Have pity on my heart. Lord, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank You Lord for Your resignation. May the Good Spirit sideways His Lord feed me for eternity. Let the power of God give me war. Lord just give me war. Because Lord all of this are on ground of an atrocities. I have not pushed anything I could take. God said that we'll move on in a supernatural move of God or else I die. Lord, I plead forgive me because I've just been doing things. Lord, don't judge. Don't judge. Don't judge again. Result that I can do it myself. Lord, I repent. I repent, O God. I pray that from this day, Lord, O God, I'll be ready to smash the kingdom of the enemy. I'll be ready for war. I'll be ready for war, Lord. For the souls of many. Lord, I pray that I can save, Lord. I'll be ready for war. I plead that from this day, Lord, so that you will make the Lord God a warrior for you. A warrior for you, Lord. That the examples, Lord, that you have given us today, Lord, of people who were at war and who are filled with the Holy Spirit. I plead that, Lord, of you at war, Lord God, so that our children will be filled with the Holy Spirit. So that our children will be filled with the Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name, amen. No, no, sister. No, sister. It's not correct what you are saying, Majesty. When there is no supreme burden, one got to move and do it. There's a lot of dishonest praying going on. It will produce nothing. Let us change the theme. This is the wrong audience. It's the wrong audience for the theme that has been chosen. The theme is not appropriate. Let's change the theme, brother. So as not to waste the weekend. From the examples we have seen so far. The Holy Spirit cannot come down. People here have nothing that speaks. They cannot say to God, I have put my all into doing this. It has not worked. I must have the power that is from God. If God were to send the Holy Spirit here, he would be contradicting himself totally. And he cannot contradict himself. And he cannot contradict himself. Let me just read from the scriptures for a moment. In 1 Samuel, Samuel says from verse 6, the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you in power. And you will prophesy with them. And you will be changed into a different person. Once these signs have fulfilled, go do whatever your hands find to do for God is with you. Go down ahead of me to Gilgal. I will surely come down to you to sacrifice birth offerings and sacrifice offerings. But you must wait seven days until I come to you and tell you what you are to do. I shall return to this Samuel. Go change Saul's heart. God gave him a new heart. He had a new heart upon which the Spirit of the Lord could descend with power. And all these signs would be fulfilled that day. When they arrived at Gilgal, a procession of prophets met. The word of the prophet had to be fulfilled. The Spirit of the Lord came upon him in power. And he saw him in their prophesying. When all those who had formerly known him saw him prophesying to the prophets, they asked each other, What is this that has happened to the son of Christ? He saw also among the prophets. The Holy Spirit descended upon him in power to prepare him to become the king. He became king. Could someone read chapter 11? It says, I am a prophet. Chapter 11. Chapter 1. Chapter 11. So we can send messengers throughout Israel. If no one comes to rescue us, we will surrender to you. When the messengers came to Gibeal Saul and reported these terms to the people, they all wept aloud. Just then, Saul was returning from the field. Behind he locked him, and he asked, What is wrong with the people? Why are they weeping? Then they repeated to him what the men of Jabesh said. When Saul heard their words, the Spirit of God came upon him in power, and he burned with anger. He took a pair of oxen, cut them into pieces, and sent the pieces by messengers throughout Israel, proclaiming, This is what will be done to the oxen of anyone who does not follow Saul and Samuel. Then the terror of the Lord fell on the people, and they turned out as one man. When Saul mustered them at Bethesda, the men of Israel numbered 300,000 and the men of Judah 30,000. They told the messengers who had come, Say to the men of Jerusalem, By the time the sun is hot tomorrow, you will be delivered. When the messengers went and reported this to the men of Jabesh, they were elated. They said to the Ammonites, Tomorrow we will surrender to you, and you can do to us whatever seems good to you. The next day Saul separated his men into three divisions. During the last watch of the night, they broke into the camp of the Ammonites and slaughtered them until the heat of the day. Those who survived Again The truth I will make a treaty with you only on the condition that God shall be right eye of every one of you and shall bring disgrace on all Israel Je conclurai une alliance avec vous a la condition que je vous crève a tous l'oeil droit et que j'implise un sien de bonheur a tous Israël et la jubilation a tous Israël What was at stake? Qu'est-ce qui était en jeu? L'honneur du Seigneur What was at stake? I confess that there's nothing as safe in my life. I'm too comfortable, I'm too at ease to need your Holy Spirit, but I pray for a divine salvation in my heart tonight, today. I pray that you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, It's the truth my dear God sh specifications meet the spectacular I agree. God said it, ye are God said it, ye are God said it, ye are God said it, ye are God says people who must have the Holy folks have God says people who must have the Holy folks have God says to what he has promised to do. Des gens qui ont absolument besoin du Saint-Esprit pour accomplir ce qu'il a appelé à faire. I want you to write down the goal of your life. The whole spirit cannot fill a man running around in circles. Le Saint-Esprit ne peut pas remplir un homme qui court en rond, qui tourne en rond et en rond. There must be a supreme burden. Il doit y avoir un pardeau suprême. A man must be in trouble, total trouble. Il doit être coublé, totalement coublé. So that the Holy Spirit comes down to rescue him. Afin que le Saint-Esprit descend pour le sauver. First I am going to teach him. 1 Samuel chapitre 13. I am going to boldly teach him. Courageusement, verset 6. 1 Samuel chapitre 13. Verset 6, verset 13. Read like a young man with 5,000 soldiers before you as your commander. From that day the Spirit of the Lord came upon David in power. A partir de ce jour, l'Esprit d'Eternel descendit sur David avec lui. It was a continuous anointing. From that day and on and on and continually. The Spirit of the Lord came upon him in power. Before that day, he had used his strength to demolish the bears and to demolish lions. What have you done with your own strength? The Holy Spirit anoints people who have already put in their all and produces a result that a man's all cannot produce. Then the Holy Spirit comes upon them that they might produce a result that a man's all cannot produce. That the all of God must produce. From that day. The Holy Spirit comes upon him in power. Esprit de David. Esprit de David with the Spirit continues upon him in power. Verse 21. David came to Saul and entered his service. Men of you have never enrolled in the service of man. You will not be accepted in the service of God. Proud beings are useless to God. The Holy Spirit was upon David. When he entered the school, he now entered the service of man. And that is the service of Saul. Saul liked him very much. And David became one of his admirers. Then Saul sent word to Jason. Allow David to remain in my service so I am at peace with him. In the service of man. Proud people. The Holy Spirit will not come from you. He never comes from proud people. He comes from the servants of man. That they may become servants of God. Listen. In verse 18. No, from verse 17. Chapter 16, verse 17. So Saul said to Satan, Save someone who plays well and bring him to me. One of the servants answered. Verse 18. I have seen a son of David of Bethlehem who knows how to play the harp. He is a brave man. Hero in what? In demolishing bears. And demolishing lions. He used to put his legs on a dead bear. I have seen people dragging chairs and put their hands on it to play. David, his chair. Were bears. And dead lions. And his audience. The sheep. He was very sick of him. He was totally loyal to his father's flock. Totally loyal to his father's flock. So his reply. So that none of the father's sheep might be taken. Let a bear take one or two. So that means. His father was so right towards his father. That he risked his life.
