Jerry Mawhorr

Jerry Mawhorr (Birth Date N/A – N/A) is an American preacher and evangelist whose calling from God has driven him to proclaim the gospel across college campuses and communities for over a decade, emphasizing repentance and biblical truth. Born in the United States, specific details about his early life, including his parents and upbringing, are not widely documented, though he has shared being raised in a home where his father was an atheist and his mother a Catholic. Converted at age 19 while a student at Ohio University during a Campus Crusade for Christ (now Cru) meeting, he transitioned from a housing remodeler to a full-time preacher, relying on practical ministry experience rather than formal theological education. Mawhorr’s calling from God is expressed through his itinerant ministry, notably preaching at Ohio college campuses like Ohio University since at least 2011 with friend John Lengacher, carrying signs and using a microphone to call students to salvation—efforts that have sparked both conversions and confrontations. His sermons, preserved on SermonIndex.net, reflect a focus on confronting sin and urging authentic faith, often meeting resistance he views as a privilege to suffer for Christ. A father of three, he resides near Mount Vernon, Ohio, continuing to minister through street preaching and evangelistic outreach, inspiring believers to stand firm in their witness.

Sermon Summary
In this sermon, the preacher emphasizes the importance of understanding the sinfulness of mankind in order to grasp the concept of salvation. He uses a story of a bus driver's fatal misjudgment to illustrate the consequences of not recognizing one's own sinfulness. The preacher then references the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector to highlight the humility and repentance necessary for salvation. He warns of the torment and fear that awaits those who do not turn to God, citing the example of the rich man in hell. The sermon concludes with testimonies of individuals facing death and expressing their fear of what awaits them in the afterlife.

I appreciate that opening and what an encouragement to my heart. This week or this day has been a day that I've been looking forward to for some time since Brother Denny asked me to come and share. It's been on my heart a lot. Not only on my heart, I believe it's been on my subconscious because just a few days ago I was dreaming one evening. I was dreaming I was sitting by Brother Denny and we were sitting here in the front row. It was about a minute before I was supposed to get up and share and I looked down at my lamp and I didn't have my sermon notebook. And I woke up immediately. It was a nightmare. You don't know how you'd feel in that situation. Especially me because much of my sermon I write out and without my notes I could be in trouble. So I praise God it was only a nightmare. I'd like you to open your Bibles tonight to Acts chapter 16 and I would like the Spirit of God to use me tonight to be that man that stands in the gap between the dead and the living. Acts 16 starting in verse number 22. Some of the things I may share tonight may be somewhat rough, but I pray that God will use them for his honor and glory. Acts chapter 16 verse number 22. Paul and Silas. And the keeper of the prison, awaking out of his sleep and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. But Paul cried with a loud voice saying, Do thyself no harm for we are all here. Then he called for a light and sprang in and came trembling and fell down before Paul and Silas and brought them out and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And I would like to use that phrase tonight or that statement that this jailer made to Paul and Silas. Sirs, what must I do to be saved? To be an opening thought tonight. There are many people in the world and there may be some here tonight who have all kinds of different ideas about what I must do to be saved. There are people who believe in their heart that if they follow certain church sacraments, that someday they'll die and go straight to be with Jesus. There are others who believe in their heart that if they keep the Ten Commandments, that someday they'll die and they'll go on to heaven and be with Jesus. There are some who believe that baptism saves. There are some who believe that simply asking Jesus into your heart saves. There are some who believe that if you commit yourself to Jesus, you can be saved. There are some who believe if you join the church, you can be saved. And there are others who believe that if you live a certain lifestyle, you can be saved. And on and on and on and on it goes. But what is our answer tonight to the question, what must I do to be saved? Tonight there may be some here who would like to know the answer to that question. What must I do to be saved? And I would like to lay out that tonight as clear as I possibly can. I would like to lay it out to you this evening on a shelf. And I would like to set that shelf way down so everyone can reach it. What must I do to be saved? The title of the message tonight is this, Salvation Crystal Clear. Salvation Crystal Clear. And that's my heart and that's my goal tonight. That after you leave this tent, there will be no question in your heart. What must I do to be saved? And that I can say tonight that my hands are free from the blood of all the men and women and children that are here tonight. I would like to go through this sermon basically in order in five simple segments. And I would like to clearly and as best as I possibly can, by the grace of God, present to you how to be saved. The first segment I would like to look at, and the first thing that everyone here in this tent and everyone under the sound of my voice must realize. If you're going to understand how to be saved crystal clear, you must realize the sinfulness of mankind. The sinfulness of mankind. Now, it's often very difficult to convince men and women of their sinfulness. And I'd like you to turn this evening to Isaiah chapter 53, and we would like to look at a verse in Isaiah 53. Brother David shared a little bit of my sermon here this afternoon. If you were here, we learned by repetition. Let us start in verse number five of Isaiah chapter 53. Isaiah 53, starting in verse number five. And I'd like to show you how that according to the Bible, and most of you know this, but there are some here tonight who may not know this. According to the Bible, we are all sinners in the sight of God. Verse five, but he was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon him. And with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray. We have turned everyone to his own way. And the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. And I would like you to look at verse number six, and I'd like to draw two things out of there that we can learn about the sinfulness of mankind. And the first thing is this, that the root of sin is selfishness. The root of sin is selfishness. The Bible says all we like sheep have gone astray. And I don't care tonight what sin you want to call out to me. Whether it's murder. Whether it's adultery. Whether it's lust. Whether it's stealing. Whether it's gluttony. Whether it's covetousness. Whether it's envy or jealousy. The root cause to every sin is selfishness. Basically you're saying to God, I want my own way. This is the problem with mankind. He is inherently selfish. He is turned to his own way. I'd like you to notice the example of Jesus, who was sinless. In John chapter 8, verse 29, the Bible says that Jesus said to the Father, I do always those things that please my Father. I do always those things that please my Father. Do you realize tonight that Jesus is the only person or the only man that walked this earth who could actually say he was sinless? And the reason why he could say he was sinless, because he could say, Father, I have always at every time done the things that please you. And never have I done what's pleasing to me. And Jesus was sinless. You see, Jesus never did anything that was selfish. Even in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus said, Not my will, Father, but thine be done. Jesus said in the book of John, I have not spoken of myself, but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say and what I should speak. That's an amazing thing to me. Do you realize that Jesus never spoke a single word that wasn't given to him of his Father? Wouldn't that be wonderful if we could speak every word scripted from our heavenly Father? I wonder tonight if there's anyone here this evening who could stand up in our midst tonight and claim before God, I have never, ever been selfish. I would like to meet that person tonight. But selfishness is the root of all sin. And I want you to notice something else from verse number six. The Bible says here, all we like sheep have gone astray. We have turned everyone to his own way. Notice also that this root of selfishness is in every one of us. It's in every one of us. All we like sheep have gone astray. We have turned everyone to our own way. You see, this evening, it doesn't matter whether you were born and raised in a Hutterite colony in South Dakota or Montana. It doesn't matter whether you were born and raised in an Amish home in Pennsylvania. It doesn't matter whether you were born in a worldly home like I was in Ohio. And it doesn't even matter if you were born in a crack house in the Bronx of New York. You are a sinner. It doesn't matter where you were born. All we like sheep have gone astray. We have turned everyone to our own way. But you say to me this evening, Brother Jerry, don't you realize that there are people who have sinned more than I have? Yes, I would agree with you. There are people who have sinned more than you have. And yes, you can look across the tent tonight and say, that brother over there or that sister over there, they sin more than me. And I would agree with you. And God would too. When I was in school, I went to public school. And when we took tests, we had to make a 70 on the test to get a passing grade. As I said at my desk when I was a young man, when they passed back the test and when the teacher had graded the test, if my friend over here got a 4 on the test out of 100 and I got a 68, do you realize that my friend got an F and I got an F too? Do you realize it didn't matter whether I got a 68 or a 4 on the test? I failed the test. You say, but wait a minute, you did better than him. You're right, but I failed. And did you know that God's grading system requires perfection? In James chapter 2, verse 10, the Bible says, Whoso shall keep the whole law and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of the whole thing. Can you say tonight that you're perfect in the sight of God? If you cannot say that you failed, can anyone here in the tent tonight stand up and say, I am perfect in the sight of God? You say, but ah, Brother Jerry, you don't know. I'm better than most. Yes, but are you perfect? The Bible says all we like sheep have gone astray. How many of you know J. Vernon McGee? J. Vernon McGee grew up in a little town. Well, it's not that little Santa Monica, California. J. Vernon McGee tells of the times when he was a young man, how he and his friends would go out to the pier on the Pacific Ocean and they would have a little game that they would call jumping to Catalina Island. And one of the boys would run off the pier and he would jump out as far as he could to try to reach to Catalina Island. But you see, Catalina Island was around 20 miles offshore. And the next little boy, he would take off running and he would try as hard as he can to jump to Catalina Island. But he never could jump to Catalina Island. Now they got back up on the pier and they said, hey, I jumped farther than you did. And they were right. But none of them ever came near to Catalina Island. And you might be awful holy here tonight, in your own sight, but you're short of the glory of God. The Bible says for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. If you want to compare yourself with someone tonight, the Bible says there is one person you can compare yourself to. Be ye perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. And if you'd like to compare yourself with someone tonight, compare yourself with your heavenly Father. And see how you do. Do you realize this evening if Jesus would walk through that tent, there's not a single soul here tonight that would go up to Jesus and say, I'm perfectly holy, like you. The attitude God wants from every individual is this, I am a wretched sinner. I am a wretched sinner. Turn if you would to Luke chapter 18. Luke chapter 18. Jesus teaches here on attitudes towards self. In Luke chapter 18, starting in verse number 9, And He spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous and despised others. Two men went up into the temple to pray, the one a Pharisee and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank Thee that I am not as other men are. Now notice who the Pharisee is comparing himself to. I thank Thee that I am not as other men are. Comparing himself to men. Verse 12, I fast twice in a week. I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican standing afar off would not lift up so much his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast saying, God, be merciful to me, a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other. You see, tonight if you would look up into heaven and you would begin comparing yourself with God in heaven, you would turn your face from heaven down to the ground and you would say, God, be merciful unto me, a sinner. There was an evangelist by the name of Eddie Martin in Bluefield, West Virginia. He preached a sermon one day, much like I am preaching tonight. And after the service, an elderly woman came forward to get converted and Brother Eddie met her at the altar and he said to her, Ma'am, why have you come forward? And this woman looked up at him and she said, I have come forward to get saved. And Brother Martin said to her, Ma'am, do you believe you are a sinner? And the woman looked up to Brother Martin and said, Sir, I am not a sinner. And Brother Martin said to her, Ma'am, do you realize the Bible says if you don't see yourself as a sinner, that you cannot be saved. And this woman looked up to Brother Martin and said, Well, Brother Martin, I may be a sinner, but I am a good sinner. And Brother Martin said to her, Listen, Ma'am, unless you see yourself a wretched sinner before God, you cannot be saved. And the woman was distraught and she went back to her seat and he stood there and he watched her go back to her pew and she turned around and the Spirit of God got a hold of her heart and she began to walk up to Brother Martin and she looked him in the eyes and she said, Brother Martin, I see it now. I am a wretched sinner. And Brother Martin said, You're qualified to be saved. And I would say that to anyone that's here tonight. If you don't see yourself before God a wretched sinner, you're not qualified to be saved. You must see yourself as a sinner, as a wretched sinner in the sight of God. Secondly, I would like to look at the doctrine of eternal judgment, because in order to understand salvation crystal clear, we must understand eternal judgment. Because the sinner, and we all are sinners, the sinner is on his road to destruction. Let us consider this evening the final and eternal resting place for every unforgiven sinner. And I say today, there's not much preaching on hell, but I would like to share some thoughts with you tonight about the final resting place of every unforgiven sinner. Look, if you would, to Luke chapter 16. Here Jesus graphically portrays what hell is like. And I have seen in this passage seven, I'm going to call them tonight, seven agonies of hell, but I'd only like to talk about five of them for the sake of time. But I would like to give you all some sort of an idea tonight where the unforgiven sinner spends eternity. Luke chapter 16, starting in verse number 19. There was a certain rich man which was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus which was laid at his gate full of sores and desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table. Moreover, the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass that the beggar died and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. And in hell he left up his eyes being in torment and seeeth Abraham afar off and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me and son Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivest thy good things and likewise Lazarus evil things. But now he is comforted and thou art tormented. And beside all this between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot, neither can they pass from us that would come from thence. Now I'd like to just draw out tonight five of the agonies of hell. There are actually seven here if you would look at it very closely. But I would like to talk about five of them tonight. First of all, I would like to draw your attention to the agony of what I call exploding fear. The agony of exploding fear. In verse number 23, the Bible says in hell he left up his eyes being in torment. Now consider that with me tonight. Dying. And the moment after you die, you lift up your eyes and you're in the pit of hell. The Bible says in 1 John 4 that fear hath torment. Can you imagine the torment, the fear that came upon the rich man as he opened up his eyes in hell and saw where he was? And the fear exploded in his heart. The writer to the Hebrews said this, It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Do you believe that tonight? It's a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. All sinners on the verge of death often testify of what is coming for them on the other side. Listen to some of these testimonies of men who have one foot in this life and one foot in eternity. M.F. Rich, the famous atheist, as he was dying, said this, I would rather lie on a stove and broil for a million years than go into eternity with the eternal horrors that hang over my soul. I have given my immortality for gold and its weight sinks me into an endless, hopeless, helpless hell. Sir Francis Newport, the head of an English infidel club said this to those gathered around his deathbed, You need not tell me there is no God, for I know there is one and that I am in his angry presence. You need not tell me there is no hell, for I know there is, for I already feel my soul slipping into the fire. Oh, the agony tonight of those who go to hell. The exploding fear that must come upon the heart of every man, woman, and child that opens up their eyes after death and they're in hell. Secondly, I would like to notice the agony of unquenchable fire. In verse number 24, the Bible says, And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am tormented in this flame. Jesus often spoke of hell in the Bible. He often spoke of it and he talked about the fire that was in hell. Twenty-one times in the New Testament, Jesus talked about the fires of hell. In Luke chapter 3, he called it the unquenchable fire. In Matthew 5, he called it hell fire. In Matthew 18, he called it everlasting fire. And in Matthew 13, Jesus describes it very graphically. He calls it a furnace of fire. Consider that with me tonight. Hell is a place of fire. The teaching of hell fire has faced a lot of opposition in recent years, has it not? More and more people that I meet try to convince me that there is no fire in hell. Some question how a man's body could remain in hell and burn forever and ever and ever. Let me ask you this. How do you think Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego went into a fiery furnace and their flesh was not touched? Don't you think God has the wisdom to send men to hell and allow their bodies to be burned and tormented forever and ever without them being burned up? Some have argued that the body goes to hell only and the soul is annihilated and is no more. But Jesus refutes that when he says, Fear not them that can kill the body, but fear Him who can destroy both body and soul in hell. The agony of unquenchable fire. Thirdly, I'd like you to see the agony of a condemning conscience. Look at verse number 25. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime... You see, that verse is telling us tonight that when the rich man went to hell, he took something with him. He took his memory with him. And the rich man is in hell tonight and he has a memory. He has a conscience. Perhaps tonight he remembers his mother's prayers for his salvation. Perhaps he remembered his lost opportunities to be saved. Perhaps he remembered the many times he passed by Lazarus and he looked down upon Lazarus with contempt and it didn't help him. Perhaps he remembers the ingratitude he had before God, having been heaped upon with all his riches. Perhaps he remembers the adulterous relationship he was enjoying. Or perhaps he remembers his excess of banqueting and rioting. Let me ask you this this evening. What is in your memory? What is in your memory of all your life? What is stored in there? Are you willing to take it to hell? Are you willing to take it to hell? They say men sit in jail cells all across this country in penitentiaries and they sit there and they have time to think. And because they have time to think, they take sheets and they cut the sheets in strips and they tie those sheets together. And they tie a sheet, the one end of the sheet, on the ceiling and they get up on a bed or something high and they put the other end of the sheet around their neck and they jump down and they hang themselves. And many times guards will come in the morning and they'll see a prisoner hanged in the cell. Do you know why many times they do that? It's because they can't live with the memory of the sin they have in their mind. There was a man by the name of Judas Iscariot who one day betrayed the Lord Jesus. And he took the 30 pieces of silver because his conscience was so bothering him. And he took those 30 pieces of silver and he went back to the chief priests and the elders and he threw those 30 pieces of silver down before their feet. And they said, we don't want this. It's the price of blood. And Judas Iscariot, his memory and his conscience was destroying him. The Bible says that he left there and he went out and he ran to try to get rid of that memory, that conscience of betraying the Son of God. And we read in the Bible that he found a tree and he took a rope and he tied one end on the tree and he got up in the tree and he put the other end around his neck and he hanged himself. Because he couldn't live with a conscience that was condemning him. And this evening, some of your consciences tonight, some of your memory, they may be condemning you. What's in your memory tonight? Have you defrauded your brother? Have you hit your wife? Are you committing incest with your daughters? Have you cheated on your taxes? Are you sleeping with another man and he doesn't know it? Is your conscience silent tonight? Or is it crying out against you? Look, if you would, to Mark chapter 9. Here Jesus again speaks of hell, but He says something very interesting I'd like you to see. In Mark chapter 9, starting in verse number 43. And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off. It is better for thee to enter into life maimed than having two hands to go into hell into the fire that never shall be quenched, where their worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched. And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off. It is better for thee to enter halt into life than having two feet to be cast into hell into the fire that never shall be quenched, where their worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched. And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out. It is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye than having two eyes to be cast into hellfire where their worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched. I would like you to notice verse number 44, verse number 46, and verse number 48. Something unusual there. The Bible does not say in each of those passages where the worm dieth not. It actually tells us tonight where their worm dieth not. I wonder tonight, what is Jesus trying to say? What is this worm that is in hell that never dies? If you read it in the Greek New Testament, it says this, the worm that is their own never dies. The worm that is their own never dies. And I believe tonight what Jesus is saying to us is that worm is our memory. That worm is our conscience. And when a lost man like this rich man, when they die and they go to hell, they take that memory and that conscience with them to hell. And hell is a place where they remember and they remember. And that worm of memory never dies. In a little town in Georgia a number of years ago, there was a man who was driving a bus. A busload of children home from school. And on the way home, he came to a railroad track. And he looked to his left and there was no one coming. He looked to his right and he noticed that there was a train coming down the track. He didn't see how quickly it was coming. He misjudged. A little boy on the train that day would later testify that the bus driver said underneath his breath, I think I can make it. He went out on the tracks and unfortunately for all that was in the bus, the bus stole in the middle of the track. And as this man was frantically trying to get the bus started, this locomotive came barreling down upon this bus and it hit that bus with all the force of a many hundred ton locomotive and that bus was just demolished and bodies went everywhere. It was one of the greatest tragedies a little town ever faced. Many of the children on that bus that day died. Many of them were mangled for life. But one of the other tragedies that happened that day was the fact that the bus driver lived. Because he walks the streets of that little city. A zombie. Because he can't live with the memory of that awful day when he took a busload of children out in the middle of a railroad track and sent many of them into eternity. And I wonder tonight, can you live with your memory forever and ever and ever? If there's one reason tonight, young people, older people alike, if there's one reason tonight, I would beg you to come down this aisle and to repent of your sin and to cry out to the Lord Jesus. If there's one reason, I would ask you to do it. I would ask you to do it because the Bible says, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime, memory in hell. Fourthly, I would like you to see in Luke chapter 16, if you would turn back there, verse number 25 of Luke chapter 16. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivest thy good things and likewise Lazarus evil things, but now he is comforted and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you, there is a great gall fixed, so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot, neither can they pass to us that would come from hence. Do you see what Jesus is telling us tonight about hell? As the rich man opened up his eyes and he looked, he saw a huge chasm, a huge gall. And he realized in his heart that there was no escaping. And Abraham says to him, Son, listen, no one can come from there to us, neither can we send anyone from us to you. I see in that verse the agony of no escape. The agony of no escape. According to the Scriptures, hell is a place where every door is locked, every gate is sealed, and every window is shut. There are no exit signs in hell, my friend. There are none. There is no possibility of escape. About three miles west of San Francisco in the San Francisco Bay, there is a rock that comes up out of the water. It's called Alcatraz. And there, back in 1931, the United States government decided to build a prison. And they nicknamed the prison the inescapable prison. Alcatraz. The walls were impregnable. Barbed wire 20 or 30 feet up surrounded the prison. There were guards posted everywhere in towers with guns. If you managed to get by that, you had to jump from a cliff into the Pacific Ocean where there were swirling waters all around the island. And if you managed to survive that, you only had a three-mile trip in 51-degree water to get to San Francisco. As far as they know, there is no one living who ever escaped and lived to tell about it. But when I thought about this verse, consider what man can do, a prison that man can make, but then consider the infinite wisdom of God and how God can make a penitentiary for the damned that is inescapable. And according to the Bible here, this rich man looked out and there was no possibility of escape. Listen to me, my friend, tonight. Would you please look before you leap into a place from which no man has ever returned? A place from which they that go there come not out forever. You think about that tonight. Fifthly, I would like you to see the agony of an endless eternity. Jesus spoke often of the eternality of hell. In Matthew 25, verse 46, Jesus said, then these shall go away into everlasting punishment. In Matthew 18, Jesus called it everlasting fire. And I say this to you this evening, if you believe tonight in an everlasting, eternal heaven, then you must believe in an everlasting, eternal hell. Would you consider with me this evening, ponder eternity. Are you prepared for eternity? Our minds don't often like to think of eternity, do they? A number of weeks ago, most of you know this perhaps, there was a jet that took off from Long Island, New York. It was a TWA jet. It took off and it began to climb to around 12,000 feet. And around 8 or 10 minutes after it took off, all of a sudden, without any warning, the jet exploded in mid-air. And over 200 people died in that explosion. And they fell to the ocean. And as I thought about that, I considered the reality that on that plane that night, there were probably mothers who were maybe changing a diaper on a baby. Or they were cuddling a baby. And there were fathers who were reading a newspaper. Maybe they were reading about their favorite sports team. And there were young men. And there were young women on that plane that night. And maybe they were talking one to another. Maybe they were talking about a boyfriend or a girlfriend. And without any warning at all, in the next two seconds, they are standing in eternity. Have you ever considered tonight that God's death arrows fly invisibly? And who knows whether or not one may someday just all of a sudden take you? Consider eternity. The infidel Mirabu lay dying on his bed. And he said to the doctor, Doctor, give me more opium that I may not think of eternity. Ponder eternity tonight. Forever and ever and ever. The rich man has been there for over 2,000 years. And he hasn't even begun to suffer in eternity. I don't know how to describe eternity. I don't like borrowing things from other preachers. But there was a man two and a half centuries ago that I think described eternity well. His name was Jonathan Edwards. Let me read to you what he said. It is everlasting wrath. It would be dreadful to suffer this fierceness and wrath of Almighty God one moment. But you must suffer it to all eternity. There will be no end to this exquisite, horrible misery. When you look forward, you shall see along forever a boundless duration before you which will swallow up your thoughts and amaze your souls. And you will absolutely despair of ever having any deliverance, any end, any mitigation, any rest at all. You will know certainly that you must wear out long ages, millions and millions of ages in wrestling and conflicting with this almighty, merciless vengeance. And then when you have so done, when many ages have actually been spent by you in this manner, you will know that all is but a point to what remains so that your punishment will indeed be infinite. Oh, who can express what the state of a soul in such circumstances is? All that we can possibly say about it gives but a feeble representation of it. It is inexpressible and inconceivable for who knoweth the power of His anger. Consider eternity tonight. I know we as mortal human beings don't like to think about it. But if you're lost tonight and you've never been born again, consider eternal damnation forever and ever and ever. And so we see tonight that every one of us here are sinners. We have gone astray. And we also see tonight that you and I are on the road to eternal damnation unless we get forgiven. And I'd like you to think tonight before I go on, that if you die in your sins, the story I just read to you about the rich man will be your home forever and ever. Consider that. You look at those pages and you say, I don't want to go there. But the Bible says if you die unforgiven, you will be there forever and ever and ever. Thirdly, I would like to say to you in order to understand salvation crystal clear, we must understand the convicting work of the Holy Spirit. The convicting work of the Holy Spirit. Turn, if you would, to John 16. John 16. We'll start reading in verse 4. I think we can all see tonight that we are sinners before God. We are not perfect. We have all gone astray. And because of that, we're on our road to eternal ruin or eternal damnation. Thirdly, I would like to share with you the convicting work of the Holy Ghost. Starting in verse 4 of John 16. Jesus speaks here and says these words. But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come you may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning because I was with you. But now I go on My way to Him that sent Me and none of you asketh Me, whither goest thou? But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart. Nevertheless, I tell you the truth, it is expedient for you that I go away. For if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you. But if I depart, I will send Him unto you. Now, every one of us who have been washed in the blood of Jesus, the Holy Spirit is our Comforter. Amen for that. But look at verse number 8. And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgment. Do you see tonight that the responsibility of the Holy Spirit of God is if you are sitting in this tent tonight to convict your heart of your sin and of the judgment to come? That is His responsibility. If you've been truly born again, you can all testify tonight that before you came to the Lord Jesus Christ, the Spirit of God wrought a work of conviction in your heart. You ought to be able to testify that tonight. If a man, woman, or child is not brought to a place of conviction by the Holy Ghost, that individual has not been a candidate at that time for salvation. And here's why I say that. In the book of John, Jesus said, No man can come unto Me except the Father which hath sent Me draw him. Do you realize tonight that everyone here in this tent that can hear the sound of my voice, if anyone of you tonight is not saved, that the only way you can be saved tonight is if the Spirit of the living God would come down and settle upon your heart and bring a conviction and draw you to Jesus Christ. And that's what we pray for. That's what happened tonight. I'd like you to notice something interesting as I studied that verse. That word, draw, it's a Greek word, helko. You can look it up in your Strong's Concordance. It literally means, brother Moe's, to drag. No man can come unto Me except the Father which hath sent Me drag him. There's only one definition in the Strong's. To drag. You see, in reality, the Spirit of the living God tonight is trying to drag you to Jesus. I'll give you one usage of that word. If you remember in John 21, Jesus was sitting on the shore and He was preparing a meal for the disciples. And Peter was coming to the shore. And the Bible says he had a multitude of fishes. And it says that He was dragging them to the shore. That's the word helko. Dragging them to the shore. And that's what the Spirit of God needs to do to us. Drag us to Jesus. You see, the Bible says all we like sheep have gone astray. We are running from God from the womb. In Genesis 3, the Bible says an Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of God. Do you realize, as sinners, we are running from God? And apart from the convicting work of the Spirit of God, we would have no chance of salvation. Consider that tonight. This is the natural reaction of all sinful mankind to run from God. The Bible says in Romans 3, there is none that seeketh after God. If man was left to his own estate, man would never seek after God. Do you realize, if there was no convicting work of the Spirit of God, there would not be a single one of you saved tonight? Because man will never seek God on his own. And Jesus said, no man can come unto Me except the Father which hath sent Me draw him. We praise God tonight for the sweet convicting presence of the Holy Ghost. We are truly saved by the grace of God. But let me also say and warn you this evening, God's Spirit will not always seek to drag you to Jesus. The Bible says in Genesis 6, My Spirit shall not always strive with man. And there may be some here that's sitting tonight and the Spirit of God is striving upon your heart. I'd like you to know tonight that the Bible says, My Spirit shall not always strive with man to try to drag him to Jesus. Many of you know Aaron Burr, the man who was convicted of treason by the United States. Aaron Burr tells an interesting story. One day his granddaughter was at a meeting. Maybe it was much like this. And she was converted to Jesus. And she came home and she came to her grandfather Aaron Burr and she said to him, Grandpa, wouldn't you like to be saved and become a Christian? And Aaron Burr looked down at her and he said to her, Sweetheart, many years ago I was sitting in a revival meeting and I felt the Spirit of God striving against my heart. And after that meeting I went outside the building and I looked up to heaven and I said, God! And I meant it with all my heart. If you will leave me alone, God, I will leave you alone. And Aaron Burr said this to his granddaughter, Sweetheart, I kept my part of the deal and God has kept His. Do you ever wonder why the Lord Jesus looked at the Pharisees who had just blasphemed the Spirit of God? Do you ever wonder why the Lord Jesus looked at them and said, Men, you don't know what you're doing because He that shall blaspheme the Holy Ghost has never forgiven us. Do you realize what Jesus was saying to them? He was saying to them, Your only chance of salvation is the Holy Spirit and His conviction and His dragging you to me. You are cutting off the only lifeline that you have to salvation. And oh, we need to be careful with the sweet Spirit of the living God. And that goes for us as Christians too, doesn't it? Striving against our Maker. After Stephen preached a sermon in Acts 7, he looked upon those who were striving against God and he said, You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, you do always resist the Holy Ghost. And I wonder if there's anyone here tonight who we could say, You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart, you do always resist the Holy Ghost. How long does the Holy Ghost have to strive with you? How long does the Holy Ghost have to try to drag you to Jesus? Don't resist the Holy Ghost tonight. If you feel the Holy Spirit tonight convicting your heart, don't strive against Him. Break your heart underneath it. Underneath the load, break your heart. And so we see that every one of us tonight are sinners. Every one of us are on our way to eternal damnation. And every one of us, and many of us even here tonight, may be God's Spirit is striving with you to bring you to Jesus Christ. And you sit here tonight and you say, Yes, Brother Jerry, I feel the conviction of the Spirit of God upon my heart. I feel it right now. What must I do to be saved? Well, in order to understand salvation crystal clear, we must understand repentance. The first thing I would say to you who are under conviction tonight, the first thing you ought to do is repent. Repent. And do you know tonight that the Spirit of God works repentance? The Bible says that godly sorrow worketh repentance unto salvation. The Spirit of God comes to your heart and begins to weigh down your heart and to tell you that you're a sinner, that you're on your way to hell, and you begin to have godly sorrow. And that godly sorrow turns you to repentance. And that repentance turns you to salvation. Godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation. Jesus said, except you repent, you shall all likewise perish. Peter in his second pistol said, The Lord is long-suffering, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Consider with me tonight, and this is a teaching that really needs to be taught. And I think some of the brethren who were here this afternoon as they stood up and shared, I think from their heart, their desire was, yes, we need to know what is true biblical repentance. Look, if you were to Luke chapter 15, I'd like to share with you tonight what do you really need to do to be saved. You sit here tonight and you realize you're a sinner. You realize you're on your way to eternal destruction. You realize that the Spirit of God is speaking to your heart. How do I repent? Let's look at Luke 15, starting in verse number 10. Again, this is the words of the Lord Jesus. Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repented. And notice our context. Jesus is talking about sinners repenting. And then he moves to a beautiful story. And many of you know this story. The story of the prodigal son. And he said a certain man had two sons and the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me. And he divided unto them his living. And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together and took his journey into a far country. That's you and I, in our sinful state. We want to get as far away from God as we can. And there wasted his substance with riotous living. And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land. And he began to be at want. And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country. And he sent him into his fields to feed swine. And he would fain have filled his belly with the husk that the swine did eat. And no man gave unto him. And when he was come to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough to spare, and I perish with hunger. I will arise and go to my father and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and before thee, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. Make me as one of thy hired servants. I would like you to see tonight that there are three things here in this story that Jesus teaches us regarding true biblical repentance. The first one can be found in verse number 16. And when he would fain have filled his belly with the husk that the swine did eat, and no man gave unto him. And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough to spare, and I perish with hunger. I will arise and go to my father and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and before thee. I want you to notice here, first of all, that repentance that is true and genuine makes a man or woman willing to forsake his or her sin. You see, this man that Jesus was talking about, this prodigal son, he was willing to say, I need to get up and get out of this mess that I'm in. And I need to go back to my heavenly Father. He was willing, first of all, to give up his sin. John the Baptist came preaching the gospel of repentance. And do you know what he said? He said to the tax collector, You want to repent? Stop taking more from people than that which is right. If you want to repent. He looked at the soldiers and said, Men, if you want to repent, stop doing violence to any man and be content with your wages. He looked at the rich man and said, If you want to repent, go and take those two coats that you have and sell them and give them to the poor. Or sell one. I wonder if, as I was thinking about that, I wonder if John the Baptist could come to our closets and say, If you and I want to repent, maybe you ought to take one or two of those dresses and sell them. Maybe you ought to take those two coats that you have and give one to the poor. But that is to repentance. Repentance produces a willingness to forsake sin. When Jesus was on the road to Jericho one day, He stopped and there was a man up in a tree. The man's name was Zacchaeus. And Zacchaeus wanted to repent. And do you remember the response that Zacchaeus gave to the Lord Jesus? He said this, Behold, Lord, half of my goods I give to the poor. And if I have taken anything by false accusation, I will restore it fourfold. Here was a man whose heart was willing to forsake his sin. I ask you tonight, are you willing to forsake your sin? Secondly, I would like you to see in verse number 18, the second thing that establishes true repentance is this, a willingness to confess. And Brother Moses mentioned this yesterday. A willingness to confess. Coming and showing your deeds and confessing your sin before God. 2 Timothy 5.24 says this, Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before unto judgment. And some men, they follow after. We have a choice tonight to make. There are some men in this tent and some women whose sins have already gone to heaven. They've gone before them. But there are still men and women and many children in this tent tonight whose sins are still with you. And they will follow you to judgment. Confess your sins to God now. Send them on ahead of you. Lest you die and the weight of your sin sinks you into the sides of hell. Confess your sins and let them go before you into judgment. Are you willing tonight to confess your sin to God and to men? That is the second requirement. This prodigal son, he left the pig's pen. He was willing to forsake his sin. And he came and he confessed his sin to God. Thirdly, and perhaps this is where we make our mistake, he had a willingness to serve. He had a willingness to serve. Look at verse number 19. Here this dear man comes to his father and says these words, And I am no more worthy to be called thy son. Make me as one of thy hired servants. Do you know how I can tell when a man is truly repenting? When a man is truly under the conviction of the Spirit of God? When a man is ready to be born again? The Bible says he will come. He will be willing to confess his sin. He will be willing to forsake his sin. And he will come with a heart that says, Lord Jesus, I want to serve You. I want to serve You. I don't want my way anymore. Lord Jesus, make me a servant. Make me a servant. You see, true repentance produces a broken heart and a willingness to serve. Our society and the church is becoming so perverted about this concept of repentance. Even going so far as to claim that you can be saved without a willingness to be a servant of Christ. But listen to the words of Malachi this evening. Then shall ye return and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth him and him that serveth him not. There was a time when a rich man came to Jesus and asked for eternal life. Jesus said, go and sell all that you have and come and be my servant. Follow me. But the rich man didn't have a repentant heart. And the Bible says the rich man went away sorrowful. He turned to his disciples. And Peter looked up to him and said, Lord, we have forsaken all to follow Thee. I would ask you tonight, have you and I truly repented? Have you truly repented? Was there a time in your life when you realized you were a sinner? When you realized you were under the judgment of God on your way to hell? You felt the conviction of the Holy Spirit. Did you come to the Lord Jesus and confess your sin? Did you come to the Lord Jesus and forsake your sin? And did you come to the Lord Jesus and say, Lord, I want to be your servant? That is true biblical repentance. And you are following the steps of the example that Jesus gave of the prodigal son. I wonder where your heart is tonight on that subject. Have you truly repented? Jesus said, so likewise whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be My disciple. From my background, people are coming by the thousands. They are coming down aisles. They are kneeling at an altar. They are being told that if they pray and ask Jesus to come into their heart, that's all they need to do. And they get up from that altar and they go back to their seat and they're just as much lost and even more lost than when they were when they got up and came down to the altar. Because the Lord Jesus said, except you repent, you shall all likewise perish. Have you truly repented? True repentance consists of a willingness to forsake sin, a willingness to confess, and a willingness to serve Jesus. I ask you again this evening, consider that with me. Have you truly repented? If you have not, Jesus would say, if you haven't repented, you shall perish. If God grants you repentance tonight, you will do these very things. Finally, in order to understand salvation crystal clear, we must understand belief. Jesus came into the land of Judea preaching the gospel of repentance and believe. Repent and believe the gospel. Repent and believe the gospel. And tonight, if you sit here and you realize that you're a sinner, you realize you're on your way to hell, and the conviction of the Spirit of God is upon your heart, and you're willing to repent, you're willing to do those three things, the Lord Jesus asks you to come and believe. Come believing. Come believing. I've got good news for you tonight. If you're sitting in your chair and you're under the conviction of the Spirit of God, I've got good news for you. It's called the gospel. There was a man by the name of Jesus Christ. He was God in the flesh. He came to the earth. Men, wicked men, put Him upon a cross. And you and I are the wicked men. Put Him upon a cross. There He bled and died. He suffered. They took Him down from the cross and they buried Him in a grave. And three days and three nights later, He rose from the grave. And tonight He is sitting on the right hand of God the Father, and He's looking at every one of us tonight. And He is waiting for anyone who is willing to come to Jesus with a repentant heart. Believing. Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also you have received, and wherein you stand, by which also you are saved, if you keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless you have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you, first of all, that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. Turn with me, please, to Romans chapter 10. Romans chapter number 10. These are some of my favorite verses because about 18 years ago, I believed on the Lord Jesus Christ and was saved. Starting in verse number 9 of Romans chapter 10, I'd like you to read along with me that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek. For the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Oh, those are wonderful verses to me. When I was 19 years old, I was working at a golf course and I was given the responsibility of closing down the shop. And one night, July 15, 1978, I was closing down the shop at Pebble Creek Golf Course in Lexington, Ohio. And for some reason, praise be to God, for some reason, my heart was so weighed down with the conviction of the Spirit of God, I really felt like if I would have died that night, I would have split hell wide open. And when I closed the golf shop that night, well, excuse me, let me go back. Just before closing the golf shop that night, for the first time in my life, and I had worked there for many, many months, but for the first time I saw that there was a track rack on the wall. And I went over that night, praise be to God, and I picked up a track and I read about the wonderful news of the Lord Jesus Christ and how the Lord Jesus wanted to repent and to believe on Him and to call upon His name for salvation. And I was excited because I believed it. And I remember closing up the shop that night and hurriedly going to my car, a 1977 Buick Regal Red with a white lane down top. And I began to drive away from that golf course and I began to pray and I began to cry. And I prayed and I cried. And in about five or ten minutes, I can testify to you tonight that the Lord Jesus saved my soul. And I knew I was a child of God. And do you realize tonight that if you sit here and you understand that you're a sinner and you understand that you're on your way to eternal judgment and you understand that the convicting power of the Spirit of God is working in your heart and you understand that you need to repent and to confess your sin and to forsake your sin and to come here tonight and say, Lord Jesus, I want to be Your servant. Do you understand tonight that if you come down this aisle and believe the wonderful news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and call upon the Lord Jesus, you can be saved tonight in this tent. Let me give you an illustration. Perhaps you can imagine for a moment that you were in debt for $25 million. You were very anxious and concerned because if the debt was not paid, the people who you owed it to were going to end your life. Even now, they're in the progress of hunting you down. You're on the run. A friend contacts you by phone and tells you some wonderful news. A very wealthy man has heard of your dilemma and has volunteered to pay off your entire debt. The documents for proof of payment are in the mail. Now, let me ask you a question. If you believe your friend, what do you do? Glory! Don't you do that? Glory to God! I'm free! But I would believe what the friend said. Amen. I have wonderful news for you this evening, friend, sinner friend. I'm here to tell you a very, very wealthy and compassionate man has paid off your debt of sin. His name is Jesus. And I also have the proof of payment. The document is right here in my hand. Ananias looked down upon the Apostle Paul when he was Saul after he was smitten on the road to Damascus and he said, Saul, stand upon my feet. Arise and be baptized. And call upon the name of the Lord, washing away thy sins. Do you realize tonight, friend, that if you came here, came down this aisle to this altar under the conviction of the Spirit of God and you were willing to repent, do you realize tonight that if you believed the Gospel and you called out to Jesus, who is sitting on the right hand of God even now, that the Lord Jesus would save your soul if you believed Him? Will you come tonight and wash away your sins calling upon the name of the Lord? There has been no more soul-searching question asked than what Pilate said unto the multitudes. What shall I do then with Jesus, which is called Christ? And you have a choice tonight. What will you do with Jesus, which is called Christ? What you do with the Lord Jesus tonight will determine where you are in a million years. What you do with the Lord Jesus tonight, what you do with God's Son tonight will determine your eternal destiny and your eternal inheritance. I love this story. I love to tell it. You've heard it before, but I'll tell it again. An aged man, a very wealthy man, had amassed a tremendous collection of expensive art. And this man had one son. And sometime during this young son's life, this aged man decided to have his son's portrait painted, which he did. And shortly after having the portrait of the son painted, this son died unexpectedly. And it crushed the aged man's heart. And shortly after the death of his son, this aged man also died himself. But before he died, he made out a will. And in that will he said, I would like to have all my art collection that I have amassed over these many years, the many millions of dollars' worth of art, I'd like to have it sold at an auction after my death. And so they had an auction one day. And this vast collection was gathered together. And many people from all over the world came to look at this wonderful collection of art and to take part in this auction. And the auctioneer stood up before everyone and he said, Listen, there are two stipulations in the auction that was laid out by this gentleman who passed away. The first stipulation is this. The first painting to go up for auction is the painting of this man's son. And so they brought the painting of this man's son up. And the auctioneer began the bidding. And all across the crowd, there wasn't a single bid. And the auctioneer waited and waited and waited. Finally, a Negro man who knew the son and who loved the son reached down in his pocket and he pulled out three quarters. And he raised it up in the air and he said, I'll give 75 cents for the picture of the son. And the auctioneer looked around and he waited a few more minutes. There was silence. Everyone else was out looking at the other portraits. And finally, the auctioneer said, Sold! 75 cents. And then to shock everyone, the auctioneer stood up and said, The sale is over. Right, brother? Because the second stipulation in this man's will was this. That whoever purchases the portrait of my beloved son receives everything else for free. And do you realize that Negro man went away that day a very wealthy man because he loved the son. And I say this to you tonight. If you love the Lord Jesus and you're willing to come down and purchase the Lord Jesus, calling upon the Lord Jesus tonight, you can have everything. The Bible says if we're in Christ, we are joint heirs with Jesus Christ and heirs of God. What do you think tonight of Jesus? If you get Jesus, you get everything. What will you do with Jesus, which is called Christ? If you want to know tonight the answer to the question, what must I do to be saved? Here it is. Accept the fact you're a sinner. Accept the fact you're heading for eternal judgment. Don't resist the conviction of the Holy Spirit when He calls. Be willing to leave your sin. Be willing to confess your sin. Be willing to follow Jesus. Then come, believing the Gospel, calling upon the name of the Lord. You can come tonight. The promise is open. Romans 10, verse 13 says this, Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. And they always used to tell me that includes me and that includes you. Let's have a word of prayer. Our Heavenly Father, we trust, Lord, if it be Thy will, that as the Word of God was shared here tonight, Lord, in the opening message and also in this message, that the Holy Spirit of God is at work in our hearts. Lord, woe be unto us if the Spirit of God is not at work in our hearts. Heavenly Father, we thank You tonight. We are most gracious. We are most thankful that You have not left us in our sin, that You have not left us undone. And there are many here tonight who can rejoice in the reality of salvation. And they have a real answer to the question what must I do to be saved. But Heavenly Father, we realize tonight that there may be some who are here who've never been born again, who've never been saved, who've never repented, who've never come to Jesus believing, washing away their sins, calling upon the name of the Lord. And Heavenly Father, in all of our weakness tonight, we ask You in Jesus' name to convict the sinner. Even as they sit in their seat tonight, Lord, would You convict the sinner. Show them their eternal destiny, Lord. Show them their need. O Heavenly Father, we pray that Your will be done tonight. And may no one go from this place tonight, Lord, unsaved, resisting the Holy Spirit of God. We ask Your blessings now, Father, on our evening. And Lord, if You see fit to bless us tonight, we ask You to move and direct in our service and our invitation. We pray it in Jesus' name. Amen. Alright, do we have an invitation song tonight? Perhaps we can stand to our feet and sing just as I am, without one plea, but that my Lord died for me. Tonight, if you don't know that you're saved, if you're not born again, I would encourage you to come to Jesus while you have opportunity. If the Spirit of God is speaking to your heart, wherever you're at, and I know tonight's message is only directed to those who are unconverted, lost, and God only knows tonight how many of those are here. But we pray that the will of God would be done. So you come and wash away your sins, calling upon the name of the Lord. I am without one plea, but that Thy blood was shed for me, and that Thou bidst me come to Thee, O Lamb of God, I come, I come. Just as I am, waiting not to rid my soul of one dark blood to Thee, whose blood can cleanse each spot, O Lamb of God, I come, I come. Do you hear His voice tonight? Why strive against the Spirit of God? Thy beating will put relief before Thee, O Lamb of God, I come. Heavenly Father, we do trust that Your will is being done tonight. You're not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Heavenly Father, is it true tonight that all of us are on our way to heaven? Lord, I pray tonight, God, would You speak to the heart of that man, woman, or child who's lost. Holy Spirit, please prick them, quicken them, wake them up, Lord, of their danger. Father, we beseech You and beg You in Jesus' name. Save souls tonight. We ask it in Jesus' name. Amen. Let's sing one more verse. This is the last opportunity to come to Jesus and wash away your sins, calling upon the name of the Lord. I feel impressed of the Lord to say this isn't right. There are many souls here that have never accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. They're 13, 14, 15, 16 years old. Don't let the devil win this battle. Bow your heads right now. Don't let the devil win this battle. Are you sure you want to turn away this opportunity tonight? Are you sure? Come to Jesus. We'll just pause a little longer. Come to Jesus. God bless you. God bless you, sister. Someone else. God's waiting for some more. I know it. I know it. You've resisted too long. How can you resist the invitation like that to the Gospel of Jesus Christ? Will you come? Maybe you're out at the outskirts of the tent, even on the outside. Come. Anyone else before we close? God bless you, young man. Christians, pray. Drive the devil's powers back that he wouldn't hold these people from salvation. Anyone else? Amen. God bless you, sister. Hallelujah. Some more. Is God trying to drag you through the conviction power of the Holy Spirit? Don't dig your heels in. Don't dig your heels in. Anyone else? Anyone else? Don't struggle. Don't kick against God's loving, tender mercies to give you a message like that and an opportunity like that and spurn the day of grace. Anyone else before we close? God bless you. Alright, God bless all of you. We certainly commend you into the hands of the Lord, but may it be a sobering thing. My, how many people would love to hear a message like that? I wonder what would happen if a message like that would be preached in South Dakota where they've never heard the Gospel ever. The young people, many of them. Or Russia. Or other places. My, we just don't realize what we hear.
