Well I'm glad you've survived. Good, good. You're talking to the right boss. Amen. It's been good this week. I left us whipping home tonight, so don't worry about it. Amen. God's done something this week in some hearts and lives. And I certainly appreciate what He's doing, and I certainly appreciate those that took a burden for my wife's mother. I just feel like everything's in God's hands and He's going to handle it like it's supposed to be. And I appreciate the pastor, his wife, being so good to us and giving us this open door. If you've been here this week supporting our ministry, the Lord's your rewarder. He's going to take care of you. We're going to go right on in tonight, what we feel that I wrestled this evening over what to talk about, about, I guess, two hours before the service. I know this is a repeated thing I've been doing this week, but I was going to talk on Isaiah 58, but I'm glad God changed me. That's the truth. I was going to break it down, and I am going to come back to Isaiah 58, probably, if the Lord will let me. But we are going to Isaiah. We're going to chapter 4. Chapter 4. In fact, we're going to read the whole chapter. We're going to read the whole chapter. Here's what we're going to talk about tonight. God's provision. God's provision. Isaiah chapter 4. I don't know why all these years I've never seen this chapter right here. It's amazing how you can be a student of the Word so long and miss so much. But you know, that's what I like about the Word of God. You don't never see it all. It just keeps getting bigger and bigger and bigger. Amen? You can read a verse of Scripture and get something out of it. The next time you read it, the Lord will give you something else out of it. It's a wonderful book. Let's read together. I just told you, I'm glad you survived. Verse 3, it's for them that survived. By the Spirit of burning. Oh, what a promise in this next verse. Oh, what a promise. And the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of Mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and a smoke bidet, and the shining of a flaming fire by night. For upon all the glory shall be a defense, and there shall be a tabernacle for a shatter in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert. I want you to notice that word covert. It means covering. Covering. We're going to deal with that tonight. Covering. And for a covering from the storm and from the rain. Now, God's biggest problem since man failed has always been getting that man to accept His provision. The reason it's this way is because when man walked out of the garden, oh God threw him out. He walked away from the garden. He walked away a self-sufficient creature. He walked away with one of his strongest characteristics is self-preservation. How many knows that's the strongest characteristic of a man is self-preservation? He'll go to most any length and any expense to preserve himself. And because he's of this, God has always had a problem. Even before he left the garden. Even before he left the garden. When he had sinned and he became conscious of the fact that he was a naked creature now. Even then, he provided himself a covering which was fig leaves. Is that right? And you'll find it from there all the way through the scriptures. You'll find it. I've not been able to find an Old Testament figure. Now there may be one, but I've not been able to find an Old Testament figure that somewhere in his life that God didn't have to deal with it because this particular figure was always trying to do it himself and not yielding to and submitting to and turning to watch and looking to watch that which God has provided. Amen. Look at Cain and Abel. Both of those boys heard the same gospel. Both of them. Both of them heard the same word. Both of them lived in the same house. One of them accepted God's provision and the other one brought the works of his own hands. Look at Jacob. Look at Moses. You say, well, Moses didn't. The first 40 years of the life of Moses was spent in the flesh. The first time Moses went to Egypt, he went on his own. He went in his flesh. Went down to try to deliver. He felt the call of God. He knew the call of God was on his life. He knew that God was going to use him as a deliverer to bring the people out of Egypt's bondage and out from under Pharaoh's iron hand. He knew that. But yet the first time that he went, the Bible said he thought he was grown. He went out and tried to bring deliverance. Saw an Egyptian smite the Hebrew. You know the story? Then he saw a Hebrew, a smite in a Hebrew. And he had to run for his life. And it took God 40 years. It took God 40 years to tell this great deliverer, you can't do it on your own. That ain't the way. He walked out the first time not accepting God's provision and said, look who I am. But after 40 years on the backside of the desert, God appeared to him in a bush that would not be consumed and said, take your shoes off. Close the ground, you stand on his holy ground. And when God got through with him, when all that flesh and all that providing was over with that he had went through, he said, who am I that I should go? You look in the life of Abraham. Even though he's a father, a friend of God, and he's a very important character in the word of God. But yet there's a time in Abraham's life, he got in the flesh and produced a child trying to absolutely instead of waiting on God's provision, waiting on God to do it, Mark, he got in the flesh and produced a child. It's all the way through the Old Testament. You can start and go all the way through. God always had a battle. Getting this self-sufficient man to accept his provision and look to him and not look to himself. Now the end of time is the time that the Bible tells us that self will be self and self has never been self before. I really believe that, and you don't have to believe this, but I believe it. I believe the number six, six, six, which is the mark of the beast. It's the mark of a man. You know what I believe it is? I believe it's six being the number man. I believe it's flesh, flesh, flesh. It's graduated flesh. It's flesh in its totality. It's self in its highest form. It's what I believe it is. It's six, the number of man, and then flesh just multiplied and graduated and come to its fullness. I believe that's the picture of the end time when man will become self-sufficient as never before. And hey, if you can't see that today, you sure are blind. Amen. And the biggest problem we're having, even today, is trying to get folks to quit doing it. Quit trying to make it work. Quit trying to provide for themselves. As I mentioned when I did mention it, you know, men see the tribulation coming. They begin to try to store up to provide for it. And it just, even in salvation, even in salvation, you see men trying to provide for the way to be saved. And it's just throughout the Scriptures. God has always had a battle trying to get men to forsake their old ways and just simply... How many knows that from Genesis, the third chapter of Genesis, when God made the first promise after the fall of man and after the curse had been put on him, how many realize that from Genesis 3 forward it is God dealing with His provision. I have provided. Praise God. I will make a way. The seed of the woman is going to bruise the head of the serpent. If you'll just look to me. You don't have to do it. Just look to me. You don't have to figure it out. Lean to me. You don't have to make it work. Lean to me. Look to me. Trust in me. Lean on. Hang on. And stand in me. Praise God. Oh, how hard and what a struggle and what a battle God has had. And we have in the ministry simply trying to get folks to turn towards God's provision. Now, I think when I was here before I shared with you the vision I had concerning the three revivals where 19th said the Lord by supernatural visitation after praying many, many days ten hours a day took me in, stood me in a desert place this is January the 6th someone asked me yesterday I said, how do you get to keep all these dates straightened out? Brother, if God visits you right He'll put that thing on your mind and your heart that you don't never erase it. January 6th, 1970 took me in a desert showed me first there'd be a revival in America of witchcraft showed me how it would soak up like a big vacuum like a big sponge thousands of young people then he showed me following that revival of witchcraft would be a revival of doctrines of devils you got a man right here in Atlanta that's a part of that revival that's right but then he showed me somebody cooked me some bread this week a piece of bread oh who done it boy that was some fine bread though but I don't eat self rising bread man but it reminded me of my vision because the third revival I seen come I'm going to tell you something we're just beginning that revival I done seen both of these others I done seen both of them I'm going to see the third one and I saw a revival coming the third revival the Lord said will come and he said America United States I saw a revival of the word of God a revival of the word of God how many believe the word of God is God's provision and I saw a man standing with a piece of bread just like somebody baked for me this morning no this week excuse me probably after this morning won't too many bake no bread yeah there's some hungry people yeah I appreciate you hungry people there's some of the finest folks in this church I've ever preached to man I'd feel a hunger coming from some of you folks that's the truth you know me by now I don't flatter nobody but I saw a revival coming I saw a preacher standing with this piece of bread under his arm like we carry our Bible a lot of times only had this bread unsliced bread and I saw him as he began to break that bread and as he began to break it I saw the folks begin to come and they begin to eat of that bread the Lord said to me there will come a revival of the living word of God the living word of God which simply means is that bread came down from heaven which boils it down it means a revival of God's provision a revival of God's provision a revival that will the revival of witchcraft that came through this country and the revival of the doctrines of devils is revival of self it has not turned people to God's provision it's not turned them to look up it's made them look in amen it's made them look in look you ain't going to find the real solution inside you're going to have to look up if you're going to see the real provision amen this revival is going to be a revival of the word of God the provision that God is sending and it's going to be turning folks away from whatever whatever form it might take of self-sufficiency just turning back to God's provision that's all he wants to do here in this church why does folks get upset so mean and hard all God wants to do is make you realize you can't do it you can't make it you're not smart enough to figure this thing out I don't care how many degrees you got you can't do it it's too complicated praise God there's a super mind called the Holy Spirit that can give you the understanding of all of it hallelujah somebody say praise the Lord but I saw it as God began to raise up a ministry of the revival of God's provision oh praise God I'm so glad he's chosen me to be just a part of that revival how many wants to look to the Lord in this hour because you realize he is the only answer amen but see anytime anytime anytime that there's revival of the bread from heaven you can never separate it from the word repentance cause the word repentance is the same as an old testament word called turn amen and to have God's provision you got to turn from your own and turn to him amen you got to turn from that which is whatever and turn and begin to look to watch him trust him cling to him believe in him amen and look to him that he will bring it to pass he can keep his promises he will keep his promises and you don't have to make it work hallelujah we're into that time of that revival of God's provision now in my text tonight I'll have to go on cause I got a lot to say but in my text tonight it's the story of what happens to those that survives the purging and the purging is with the spirit of judgment and burning it's hot hadn't it been hot around here this week I know something wrong with a lot of them seats cause I sure have watched folks squirm but it's the story of those that survive the purging and what God will do for them it's simply a folk prior to this this purging that's been caught up in providing for themselves turn away from God I believe I preached this when I was here before God's people have only committed two evils they forsake the thousand of living waters and hear themselves out their own sisters that's the two sins that the church has committed ok did you know it took repentance to do that you had to turn from the fountain of living waters turn to that which man provided and then to get this thing back right you got to turn back from that back to the fountain of living waters and when you turn back to that fountain of living waters Isaiah 12 will be fulfilled in your life with joy shall you draw waters from the wells of salvation you won't stand over that well oh trying to get that bucket of water up brother with joy you'll sling that old windlass up and bring you out a fresh drink of water that you can drink praise God and when you drink it you're going to be drunk of some living water but in my text tonight it's those that have survived the purging amen here's a promise that God makes to them both the public church the gathering see you can never do away with the public Paul said I want you to know that I warned you both publicly and from house to house you never do away with the public but neither should your church have ever done away with the home this is where I'm going to come back to Isaiah 58 because there's something fresh the Lord just showed me keep this mic up to help me please verse 5 and the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of Mount Zion now I have broke this scripture down every dwelling place of Mount Zion now I got to brand this on your spirit don't let this slip these are only the promises to those that have survived the purging in the day when God takes away the filth of the daughters of Zion ok, if you've not survived the purging then this doesn't count you, you're not included here but the dwelling places of Mount Zion is every home in this church every dwelling place of Mount Zion if you have survived the purging then your home is included hallelujah, God ain't just blessing this church, He don't want just to bless these four walls it's your homes the Lord is after, it's your families that God wants to bless and put a covering over it that hell can't touch your homes upon every dwelling place of Mount Zion and upon her siblings that's when we leave our dwelling places, our places of home, we come together as we are tonight brethren I'm going to tell you something if this church will continue, this pastor continues, and you hungry folks continue with him there will be a day I don't know whether in this building or not you'll come in this building and the glory of God will be so great till some of you fall out and probably stay out all night they'll have to haul you home like cordwood and you might wake up three days later and say where have I been I know a man one time got saved and this has been in the last 25 years stayed drunk for 28 days he walked the hills of North Georgia, amen he's a bootlegger that God saved and for 28 days he stayed drunk under the Spirit of God for days he stayed out, all you gotta do to read the accounts of revivals pastor, there's been folks laid out by the Spirit of God I'm going to tell you something when that happens we're going to do away with this ministry that's coming to church, this new office called the catchers, I don't believe in that ministry, I believe you fall out in the Spirit, ain't nobody supposed to catch you, hallelujah I said we're going to do away with the catchers, we're going to go back and the Lord's going to be the catcher, can you say amen, but if you'll continue on, hallelujah as the Lord has started this thing to roll, one day you'll come together as an assembly, praise God, and upon this assembly the glory of the Lord will appear, as it did in the days gone by and you'll leave this place walking on cloud nine soaring like an eagle hallelujah, oh praise the Lord, hallelujah but oh, don't stop there, oh God don't stop there because that's not the end of it a cloud and a smoke bidet, where do you find that at, oh anywhere else, leading the children of Israel that's leadership spiritual leadership you don't have to figure this thing out if you'll go and check in with the boss every morning you know what he'll do, he'll hang a cloud up there before you so you just move when it moves then at night you couldn't see the cloud he'll turn that cloud into a shining of a flame of fire by night this is simply saying I will lead those that stands the purging, they are going to be the sons of God what are the sons of God preacher they that are led by the Spirit of God they are the sons of God he came unto his own his own received him not but as many as received him to them gave he power to become the sons of God those that rejected him was those that could not stand the purging when he come to Zion but those that received him they become the sons of God the Spirit led sons of God hallelujah, God is going to have a Spirit led church in these last days praise God I'm going to shout tonight for upon all the glory shall be a defense that word upon is over all over all the glory of God it's going to be a defense verse 6 and there shall be a tabernacle this is a secret place that I've talked about this whole week there shall be a tabernacle for a shatter in the day time now it gets hot here in Georgia I've been down the Caribbean in the summer time when they'll tell you when you get off the plane don't get out in the sun because if you do you got problems because the sun is so hot stay in the shatters as much as possible because the sun is going to come down you ever thought about that in the last and I'm not trying to put this in a particular time frame but have you ever thought about that one of the things concerning the end time is heat I mean it's read where the Bible said the sun will scorch men I don't know if we're going to be here then or not but I tell you what if we are there will be a shelter for those that survive the purging hmm see there's an answer folks oh praise God I'll build me a shelter that sun will bake your shelter and make a french fry out of it for a shatter in the day time from the heat for a shatter in the day, a tabernacle there shall be a tabernacle I'm going to tell you what this tabernacle is it's the feast of tabernacles well this thing fits for a shatter in the day time from the heat and for a place of refuge and for a cover it or a covering from the storm and from the rain God's just simply saying some things to us here that you really need to get a hold of He'll cover you now throughout the country everywhere we go I was just in a big independent church out in Mississippi a few months ago and they have moved out of this was a kind of church that was in real radical, not radical but real legalistic doctrine as far as outward is concerned the Lord gave the pastor understanding that all that stuff was Pharisee-ism he went with me to a James Robinson crusade you know what he told me he said I woke up after 29 and a half years and didn't even know what I was saved or not God brought him out of that he felt led to move on left this church in the hands of two pastors co-pastors they call them now in some areas but these guys when I was there was going through this covering thing that got a hold of this message in the land called a covering message you know you got to get under covering, you need a covering how many has heard of that going through the land the message of the covering oh there's some deep error right in here got to be very very careful did you know that when the covering message first coming to this country Derrick Prince was one of the daddy rabbits of it Bog Munford out of California did you know they got some messed up in it so there's a man in Louisiana, you listen to this they got this thing called a covering that the only way you could be covered you had to get in a local church you had to have the covering of that church and this guy in Louisiana you think I'm fixing to tell you a joke but this is a fact he claimed that the Lord spoke to him and told him said in your church you can only have 14 people and you're to provide a covering for these 14 people now you listen to this you listen to this now if that was God God don't change you know what happened his wife got pregnant here comes number 15 you can't even cover him the policy don't cover but 14 isn't that pathetic well what did he do he had to get out and repent and said God I believe the lie there's nothing to that garbage ok but now brother and sister I don't know why I wish God hadn't allowed it to be this way but just about everything that God's going to do Satan runs through before it with a counterfeit there is a covering you need today I believe you need the covering of a local church I said I believe you need the covering of a local church but don't you never let the devil tell you that if you'll just run down and join the church of God or the first baptist church just because you join you're covered that's a bunch of hogwash amen amen I'm going to show you it is and I believe I believe that there's a covering that God wants to put over your family I believe that I believe in the covering it's in fact hey this whole thing starts out in the garden talking about a covering the whole thing is talking about a covering the whole revelation of the Lord is a covering I got to believe in it but it must be the one that God provides cause if you don't all you've done is hung yourself up a tent and the sun and the storm and the rain is going to come right on through it but brother when God hangs a covering over you ain't nothing can get through it amen I want you to let's go let's move on forward let's go to Isaiah chapter 30 Isaiah chapter 30 Isaiah chapter 30 Woe to the rebellious children saith the Lord that take counsel but not of me and that cover with a covering but it's not of my spirit man these two guys you talking about getting in a mess they was telling them folks you need to get in here we're going to put the covering of this ministry over you we're going to cover you and you're going to be safe now hey if there's any word that you and I are real familiar with this covering cause all of you's got some kind of insurance to cover something amen I mean it's covered with insurance tonight your cars are covered your houses are covered even some of you's covered your life is covered covered covered we're covered covered covered amen and I'm certainly not advocating you get rid of that covering because if you do I ain't but there's a covering that's better than all state and there's a covering better than what's your company brother Safeco there's one better than that one and that's a spiritual covering amen how many wants that spiritual covering praise God but yeah he's saying you rebellious why was they not getting the covering that the Lord was giving because they was rebelling against their covering or God's covering running down to Egypt getting Pharaoh to covering that want to go down into Egypt have not ask it my mouth to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh and the trust look here in the shatter of Egypt they're gonna run down there and get on the Pharaoh's shatter the sun was fixed to get hot and they need a covering so let's go down before Pharaoh's got a big old arm we'll get under it the brother they but one covering today and that's a spirit of God covering covered by his blood and covered by his spirit praise God Hallelujah and I believe as you begin to be all these things begins to come to order you begin to move on with the Lord and he sets everything in order in your personal life and you quit me and you quit trying to be the boss of your family and start being the leader of it quit bossing your wife and start leading your wife quit bossing your house and start leading your house things will begin to take place a covering will come over your house Amen then you down hit this church connected with this church Amen you support this pastor and get behind this pastor you respect him as a man of God Amen you support him as a man of God you get his vision you get with him Amen how many believe that's the way it ought to be and as you begin to get with him and get with the program that God's sending forth see because it doesn't matter and I'm not down on the church of God okay but it doesn't matter if you are church of God if this church of God ain't moving in the spirit there's no covering to it I'm glad probably glad I'm leaving tonight those kind of statements do get you in trouble but I got to tell you the truth the covering is the spiritual covering how many wants the spiritual covering over your house tonight over your children how many want spiritual leadership in your life if there's anything the church of God needs tonight is spiritual leadership oh God I'm not against your overseers I'm not against your leaders I'm far I'm not an outsider throwing mud and stones I'm an insider trying to get things going like they're supposed to be Amen okay God's gonna cover your house God's gonna cover your church God's gonna give you a shelter but you can't go down to Egypt for help I want you to look at verse number seven for the Egyptian shall help in vain into no purpose therefore have I cried concerning this their strength to sit still I want you to notice verse eight verse eight now go write it before them in a tablet or in a tablet and note it in a book that it may be for the time to come and forever and ever did you know that's an end time prophecy you record what this you just said right here you record it right in a tablet write it in stone make sure it'll be preserved forever and ever because in 1987 there's gonna be a people that the storms are gonna rage there's gonna be a people that needs a covering from the storm and from the sun write it in a book where they can know this one thing don't let them make the same mistake don't let them go down to Egypt don't let them run to Egypt don't let them get under the shadow of Pharaoh let them look to the Lord for their covering ok let's move on God's doing this all for you God's doing this all for you then there's something that the Lord is gonna require how many please that it's alright how many tonight if you knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that from here forward that you was covered I'm talking about covered and nothing could harm you as far as the powers of darkness would be willing to do what God told you to do ok let's go to Isaiah 58 let's go to Isaiah 58 let's read verse 1 and start there so to get what this prophet is saying cry aloud spurn not lift up thy voice like a trumpet show my people their transgressions and the house of Jacob their sins yet they seek me daily delight to know my ways as a nation that did righteousness and forsook not the ordinances of their God they ask of me the ordinances of justice they take delight in approaching to God now like the pastors already said there's some wrong kind of fasting in here when you fast I will tell you this don't spend that day on the beach don't watch the soaps if you're gonna watch the soaps you might as well eat while you watch them because in the day of your fast you find pleasure in exactly all your labors that don't mean you have to lay off your job but don't try to kill the growling stomach by getting your mind off down on the beach verse 4 you fast for strife and debate smite with the fist of wickedness that's the wrong kind too you shall not fast as you do this day to make your voice to be heard on high how many realize that fasting is just intense prayer it's your mouth not saying something it's your belly saying something it's saying Lord I want you more than this food that ought to be put in here I want you I desire the words of your mouth more than my necessary food fasting is nothing but intense prayer it will cause God to hear you on high and answer you if you do it right if you do it right is it such a fast that I've chosen a day for a man to afflict his soul is it to bow down his head as a bull rush and to spread sackcloth and ashes unto him would I call this a fast an acceptable day to the Lord I believe that right there is Pharisee fasting that's where you fast and get on the corner and say y'all look at me I didn't even eat breakfast today ain't I pitiful no you need to get up and wash your face and spray your hair if you spray it and comb it if you don't and if you haven't got anything put your hat on praise God and go on down the road preacher verse 6 is where I'm coming to I tell you what I won't tell you that is not this the fast that I have chosen is not this the fast that I have chosen to loose the bands of wickedness here's your chosen fast now this is what God is going to require you to do if you're going to enjoy all these benefits if he's going to cover you with his insurance plan there's a premium you got to pay if he's going to cover your house if he's going to cover your church if he's going to cover your children with his plan and his policy there's a premium you got to pay y'all get that didn't you hey you don't think it's free do you it is but it ain't is not this the fast that I have chosen to loose the bands of wickedness to undo the heavy burdens and to let the oppressed go free and that you break every yoke oh this is the one I like verse 7 is it not the deal by bread to the hungry that means share your bread that thou bring the poor that are cast out to the house when thou seest the naked that thou cover him see you can't just keep that covering got to share it that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh then the preacher read this there's either 17 or 18 more promises right here then shall the light rise then shall the light break the fourth is the morning it will even heal your body your righteousness will be there then he told you what this other was the glory of the lord is going to be your reward you're going to call the lord's going to answer you're going to cry and he's going to say I'm right here close to you amen you're going down he's going to guide you continually satisfy your soul in drought make you fat if you're skin and skin if you're fat make fat thy bones and thou shall be like a watered garden like a spring of water whose waters don't fail they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places they shall raise up the foundations of many generations they shall be called the repair of the breach the restore of the past and dwell in my god there's either 17 or 18 things there that he said he would do I was on my way to western North Carolina a few weeks ago and I stopped in brother G.W. Lowry's yard pulled my trail in his yard my wife and I slept in the yard in the trail in the yard that night that night the lord visited me and in the spirit I got a telephone call you ever got one in the spirit I got one in the spirit on the other end of the line a man said to me I want to give you a house I said praise God brother appreciate it but when I hung the phone up I didn't hear the voice of a man I heard the voice of God he said this is a fast that I have chosen that you bring the hungry to your house that you bring the naked to your house till you bring those out there into your house and take care of them now God is fixing to give you folks a house cover the one you got but here's the requirement here's the premium you got to pay you got to turn your house over to God amen you got it oh yeah you have you got to turn it over to God you got to turn it over to the lord and if the lord brings somebody by you better open the doors of your house and take them in and take care of them and we're going back we're going back to a lot of new testament in fact we're going back to new testament patterns we're going back to the houses oh yeah I'm ready amen you're going to find folks God's going to lead you across the paths of folks now he's got you covered you're covered the premium the coverings over your house but the premium that you must pay you must open that house up to the lord and here's what he's going to do you're going to come in contact with some folks and he's going to require you to feed you're going to come in contact with some folks that's spiritually naked he wants you to put clothes on them hallelujah that's what he's wanting to do to this church cover this church everybody in this church is safe they're under covering of this church and this ministry this pastor and the holy spirit but brother this church can no longer stay just a social club it must open the doors to the kind of people that God wants to bring through those doors he's going to bring the rejects he's going to bring the nasty, the filthy, the naked the poor through those doors and he's going to expect you to be able to minister to him open your doors to him amen how many wants to do that tonight? a few years ago I was in a revival in Austell I walked in the church that night in the back row was filled with what we call back then hippies I used to carry I don't carry them anymore, can't never think of them the reason I don't little cards you know us, you know us preachers we're business men we got to have these little cards but I had these little cards and I just felt when I went in I went to the back row I took out my cards I handed every man, every boy young men, hippies long hair, nasty, dirty filthy, they stunk I said here's one of my cards I said if you ever need a friend if you're ever out and got nowhere to go I said call that number I want to be your friend I went on months went by got a telephone call one day and bless your heart it was collect the dude didn't even have a dime to call me listen to me folks oh how far we've missed some of this stuff this kid said to me I'm in serious trouble I said what's your problem he said I'm on drugs selling drugs, I'm pushing drugs I'm peddling drugs I've been into one high school that was my turf I had to introduce drugs in that high school I got to go into a junior high now that's where the boss men are sending me y'all don't know this is do y'all know this is going on he said I got to go into a junior high and said man I can't do it, I got to get out of this mess, I got to get out I got to get out I said well won't you get out, he said if I get out, if I try to back out now I'm in so deep I won't live 24 hours they won't let me live I know too much you know what I told him I said if you can get to my house my house will be a haven for you, amen he come to my house still on drugs oh praise God God got a hold of him God saved him God filled him with the Holy Ghost God my wife and I introduced him to a Christian girl they fell in love and got married and today they're a fine couple, got a little twin boy and girl you know why because God told me to turn my home over to those that needed help, my home become a haven of rest he hid from the drug bosses and he had to you know get out of town, had to totally get away from them, that's the same thing the Lord wants us to do tonight with our homes, he wants you to turn your home over amen, and whatever he wants to do with it and what was so strange I left that morning went on into the western North Carolina started revival in a church I'd never been in before the pastor had only heard me preach one time I'd never met his wife the people were total strangers to me oh there was a precious couple hungry for God, done seen all this mess that we got going was ready to get out of it but as we began to go out and fellowship with them at night, this pastor's wife would sit across the table from me and she said brother Lowell all I want God to do said I'm praying so hard said I want to help the hurting so bad she said there's such a cry in my heart, I'm so sick of just a religion where we just go and go and go and we, you know there's so many hurting people, she said I'm just praying I want God to just give me a house not one to live in I've already got one to live in I want God to just give me a house that I can go out on the streets and gather the hurting people up and bring them back into this house and take care of them, I just want to take care of the hurting I want to do something for the hurting is that the cry of your heart tonight? how many wants to do something for the hurting tonight? I didn't tell I just let her keep talking but about 2 or 3 nights in a row she'd repeat that same thing she said oh brother Lowell just pray, I want God to just give me a house, I just you know, I just want a house I want to turn it into a haven of rest and I said sister let me tell you something I waited until the end of the revival before I shared because it was on the way up that the Lord had spoke to me about this house this is a fast that I've chosen that you bring those that are cast out to your house, I said here's what God's going to do here's what God's going to do, first of all He's fixed to take this church of yours and make it a house of refuge for the hurting you and your husband is fixed to become pastors of a church, amen that God's going to bring the hurting to and He's going to let you help the hurting right here in this house and I said also in your home there's a possibility God will turn your home into a haven of rest it was so strange, but you know what I think, you know what I thank God for across this country there's a cry in the heart of a lot of God's people now, I want to help the hurting there's a cry in my heart I don't want to just have my home hey if all you out tonight is just get your covering over your house and you set down your little bungalow safe and sound and you never think about nobody else and you get selfish with it, that ain't going to never work that ain't going to never work God ain't going to just bless this church to bless this church, He's going to bless this church to make it a haven of rest for the hurting, the sick the crippled, the blind the lame, oh the dying amen, they're going to drag in here muddy and bloody they're going to drag in here broke they're going to drag in here stripped they're going to drag in here in all kind of conditions, they're going to drag in here with everything, but I want you to know God's raising this thing up with the power to break every yoke off of them, to minister health and healing and deliverance and salvation, amen, put them back on the right road home, glory to God, restore them back to the human dignity and the human family, can you say amen put them back on the right road send them out in the right direction praise God, and He's going to require some of you, they're going to come into your homes, God's going to say take them home with you take them home with you, look after them, nourish them, get them back on their feet, get them back where they need to be, don't send them back after a while, get them where they need to be, oh you say I don't want that preacher, you've got to have it, that's your premium you're going to have to pay amen, to have the covering and the shelter and the storm in these last days and I believe real children and real born again people, I believe they're some of the best people here I've ever met and I believe that's a cry of some of you's heart, I don't want to just go to church, I don't want to just go through mechanics, I don't want to just have a program, I want to get involved in helping the hurting, the down, the up the lost, the bleeding and the dying, can you say amen other words, God's saying I'm going to cover your home but you're going to have to share your covering, that's not asking too much, is it if God blesses you with a car to ride in I think you ought to be willing to share it with somebody, God blesses you with a house to live in, oh they tell me bless God I'll have you know I work for this house I said bless God I'll have you know God give you the breath and the strength to work, let the low down rat get out and make his own way brother we're coming into a time of thousands and thousands of people that oh my God they're already out there well when they going to start coming, they ain't going to come until you get ready, God's not an ignorant God He'll send you nobody that you can't minister to when you get ready and everything is ready your heart's open, your house is open now hey, hey you better not say it's open unless it's open cause just as sure as you do somebody will come across your track God will send them by Amen? See I mean it when I passed those cards out I looked at those boys and I meant every word of it I meant it, if you get out somewhere and you're in trouble and you need a friend you call me I meant it, and I mean it tonight I ain't got nothing now, nothing I got my heart belongs to me, it all belongs to the Lord, that's what you gotta get, I said that's what you gotta get, it ain't mine it's the Lord's Amen? He just blessed it with me, this is a premium He's going to require you to pray to do, to pay, Amen Amen to pay for anything you do not fast you don't pray to pay for anything okay the fast that God wants you to do He's already blessed you okay, that's His provision He's done this, what He wants you to do is the fast He wants you to fast is the fast to help somebody else isn't that simple? He's literally saying the fast that I want you to fast is not just for you, the fast I want you to fast is to break the yoke off of somebody else now I'm closing brother that's some kind of sacrifice when you start missing meals for somebody else it's something when you're fasting for yourself you know, I'm not saying there's not times you don't, you fast to draw out of God, but I'll tell you what's, I'll tell you what a fast, I'll tell you what a fast that's motivated by love is a fast where you see bound people and hurting people amen, I wish if I'd have had another night I'd have preached on the three loves that's revealed in this book there's a natural love which parents have for their children there's a friendly love that you have in this church when you come together in fellowship but brother there's a divine love that goes far beyond either one of the two amen you know what, I don't believe there's ever been a man had any more natural love for the kids than I got for mine how many feels like you love your kids do you love your children and I ok, you know what, God's going to baptize you with a love that you can love other folks' kids just as much as you love yours amen that's divine love that's divine love hallelujah hey folks there's a few folks here tonight know me in the past I almost went to jail fighting for my kids you fool my children you get on the fighting side of me and that's natural love is that not natural love but you know what God's given me there's something in my heart now praise God that when you fool with anybody's kids you get on the fighting side of me I don't want to just love my own I don't want to just save my own I don't want just to cover my kids and my family my, my, my, my, my and all this stuff and we're going to sail safe till the Lord returns oh that'll never work brother I want to make my home a haven of rest for the kids that has nobody to love them can you say amen I want to start loving not just my own I want to love everything can you say amen tonight okay that's what God's going to do we're going on into this stuff and divine love's going to take the church over the Lord showed me and I'm closing in a minute the Lord showed me when this revival really busts loose and God really begins to move and you say this will never happen to me preacher you better watch what you say you better watch what you say when this thing really breaks loose and gets to rolling there's going to be a love of God come on people so great God's going to baptize them with a love so great this is going to be especially among the young you know this is what I really saw especially among the young I saw God move and so great God begin to move so great and love begin to flow real divine love from heaven begin to flow I saw people you said it ain't going to happen here I'll tell you what I bet you a dollar it does I saw people run out of the audience right in the middle of the service crying weeping before God and I seen them throw everything on the altar said this is all of my possessions I give it praise God that the gospel can be spread they done it in the book of Acts to the poor they didn't do it because the preacher said done it the love of Jesus had got a hold of them oh I don't want that preacher put it back in the jug tell God to put it on me I want it if you don't want it put it back in the jug I want a drink of that kind of wine how many wants your house covered your church covered your kids covered you know if you're a catholic you can go to the catholic used to go I don't know if you still can and they give you a little thing you can hang up your car and that covers you you can call reverend Ike in California and he'll give you a highway package of course you got to send him twenty seven dollars and you can hang this little package up on the mirror of your car and your car is covered well I'm not catholic and I ain't wrote reverend Ike but my car is covered tonight laughing say amen I'm covered with the covering of all all covering tonight but my house I've turned it over everything I got I've turned over to the lord this is it if you want it any way you want to use it amen I've tried to get my wife let's sell everything we got but the truck and the trailer just live from here on out on the road cause she don't want to do that so cause I'm the head but she's the neck and you know how that goes I really love you people I appreciate this pulpit I really do God's provision He wants you covered there's no doubt the heat's on there's no doubt the storm's on and coming there's no doubt about it but there's a shelter y'all involved in the shelter now but it's got to go beyond that got to go beyond that and it's and it ain't something you gonna work it's going to be God begin to bring it to pass how many wants the lord to lead folks to you that's down and naked and cold and I'm talking in a spiritual sense not in just I ain't just talking about in natural hey you clothe this whole city this whole world and if you don't give them Jesus you've done nothing for them I'm talking about I'm talking more in spiritual terms than I am in natural terms that's what he wants to do that's the premium that's the premium that's what he's going to require he's going to require you to fast he's going to require you to pray he's going to require you to do these things not for you now do you understand the difference his covering can't be bought it's not for you you're going to start doing what you're doing I told brother I said you know where we've missed it at I said the church is supposed to be brought to the place the five-fold ministry was to bring the church you'll find in Ephesians 4 that the five-fold ministry was to bring the church to the place that they would get off of the receiving end supply and demand is what I called it how many of us got a supply and demand thing in the country now we love to be on the demand side, that's the receiving end but the five-fold ministry was to bring the church the body of Christ where they're not on the receiving end they're on the supply you become the supply look at it, it's in there every member is joined together every member comes forth and they become the supply how many wants to get on the supply end hey wouldn't it be wonderful if this preacher had a congregation of people nobody come to get anything everybody met down here to give something man he'd preach till his shoes would come off amen probably wouldn't even have to preach y'all would do the preaching amen see you get off of that demanding side preacher give me something hey God wants to bring you the place where you can do the giving well how do you know that's scriptural read Deuteronomy 28 thou shalt hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God to keep his judgment and obey his voice all these blessings shall come upon you I'll make you the lender and not the borrower how many would like to be the lender not the borrower well get off of welfare amen you know I never have understood the scripture where it says it's more blessed to give than it is to receive until a few days ago I have never understood that scripture but I understand it now how many of you would rather be able to give be on the end of the giving end than be on the receiving end how many would rather have some money in your pocket that you could share it with somebody than be on the end where you're the one having to be shared to well you know what God wants to do he wants to make you the part where you can share where you can be the lender and not the borrower the head and not the tail oh praise God amen quit running from the devil you go to chasing him see bow your head father I thank you tonight Lord I thank you for these people I thank you for this pastor I thank you Lord for this family for this church family Lord oh God I know there's a covering there's a covering it's not a covering of Egypt it's not an Egyptian tent that we put over us it's a tabernacle of God now Lord you bring us to that place where we gonna have to start sharing that covering sharing that bread sharing that that you blessed us with we're moving out of the Lord we're gonna move off of that receiving end we're gonna get up on the serving end and the supply side of this thing we're gonna start supplying that we're gonna start giving we're gonna have that to give and to share Lord and that's what you require freely we have received we must freely give freely we have received we must freely share God in Jesus name make this people the head and not the tail make them the lender and not the borrower we ask it in Jesus name Amen and Amen I'm gonna do a little different tonight I'm shutting it down I appreciate all that you've done I appreciate you opening your heart I pray that you've heard what God's told you and you'll let it grow I turn this service to the pastor Pastor Jim
