Sermon Summary
In this sermon, the speaker emphasizes the importance of accurate representation of God. He uses the example of the parable of the vineyard and the wicked gardeners to illustrate how Moses misrepresented God to the Israelites. The speaker highlights that Jesus is the perfect representation of God and quotes Jesus' words that we should not worry about material things but instead focus on looking outward and heavenward. He also mentions how the Jews rejected Jesus and nailed him to the cross, despite him being the true representation of God.

Let's turn to the book of Hebrews, chapter 3. Hebrews, chapter 3. We read from verse 1 through verse 6. Hebrews, chapter 3, from verse 1. Therefore, holy brethren, heartakers of the heavenly calling, consider the apostle and high priest of our confession, Jesus. Who is faithful to him that has constituted him, as Moses also in all his house? For he has been counted worthy of greater glory than Moses, by how much he that has built it has more honor than a house. For every house is built by someone, but he who has built all things is God. And Moses indeed was faithful in all his house, as a minister in service, for a testimony of the things to be spoken after. But Christ as son over his house, whose house are we? If indeed we hold fast, the boldness and the boast of hope come to the end. And let's turn to chapter 4. Verses 14 through 16. Chapter 4, verse 14. Having therefore a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast to confession. For we have not a high priest, not able to sympathize with our infirmities, but tempted in all things in life manner, sin apart. So let us approach therefore with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace for seasonal help. Chapter 5. We read from verse 7 through verse 10. Chapter 5, verse 7. Who in the days of his flesh, having offered up both supplications and entreaties to him, who was able to save him out of death, with strong crying and tears, and having been hurt because of his piety, though he was a son, he learned obedience from the things which he suffered, and having been perfected because he came to all them that obeyed him, author of eternal salvation, and having offered up both supplications and entreaties to him, having been hurt because of his piety, though he was a son, he learned obedience from the things which he suffered, and having been perfected because he came to all them that obeyed him, author of eternal salvation, We entrust your Holy Spirit, we look up to your Holy Spirit to enliven your Word in us, so that your Word can become Life and Spirit in us. You open up the key to our hearts, so that we can know yourself through your Word, in the name of our Lord Jesus. The theme of this conference is, Let We See Jesus. We feel that we have seen many things on this earth, but we see too little of our Lord. We can say that all our problems are germinated here. If we can see less of man and things, and if we can see more of our Lord Jesus, I think all our problems will be solved. Not only our personal problems, but also our corporate problems can be solved. So we truly look up to our Lord. So when we gather here together, that we can see more and more of our Lord Jesus. And yesterday morning, we are sure that when we see the person of our Lord Jesus, that we see that our Lord is Son of God. He is God Himself. And He is the One who shows, declares God to us. All things are made of Him. And all things are given by the Father to Him. And He has saved us. And He is truly that Honorable, Majestic Son of God. And we also see that He comes down on earth to be our Man. And He becomes the One in the Heart of God. And because the redemption that He has accomplished for us, that He will bring us all into glory. So on the one hand, we see the glory of Him being the Son of God. On the other hand, we see the glory of Him as Son of Man. He is the Lord that is worthy of our worship. He is worthy of our thanks. And this morning, we want to share about the second thing. And we want to see the office of Jesus. We can also say that we want to see the ministry of Jesus. At the beginning of the third chapter of Hebrews, it says, For holy brothers, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession. In Chinese translation it says, this as we consider. And actually this consider is actually a noun. It's a confession. It is an acknowledgement. So we the believers, we all have an acknowledgement, a confession. And this confession is our faith. It is our testimony. Every believer has this confession. In English there are two different words. I do not know how to express it in Chinese. I have asked some brothers and we all were not able to. So I can only use English here. You know in English there are two words. One is confession. The other is profession. This confession and profession are different. This is pro and con. What is profession? Sometimes we say he is a professed Christian. He is only a Christian by name. As if he also has some acknowledgement. But that acknowledgement is in name only. And this is only to acknowledge among people who have the same opinion. If he goes in between those who are against the Lord, then he does not confess. And this is profession. And some consider Christian as a profession. And this acknowledgement is not valuable before God. What is confession? Confession is to acknowledge before people who do not agree. Before those who oppose. So this confession becomes our testimony. And we have mentioned before. Our brother mentioned it last night. In Matthew Chapter 16. When our Lord retreated to the district of Caesarea Philippi. He asked his disciples. What did man say? I am. Then he asked his disciples. Who do you say I am? So here you see Simon Peter has a confession. In this confession. That you are Christ. The Son of the Living God. And the Lord said to Simon Peter. You are blessed. Because the flesh and blood has not revealed this to you. But my Heavenly Father has revealed this to you. Now this becomes our confession. And this becomes our faith. And our testimony. And what does this confession include? Includes two things. One to say that you are Christ. And you are the anointed one. And you are the one sent by God. You are the one who is to accomplish the will of God. And this one has to do with the ministry and office of our Lord Jesus. The second point. You are the Son of the Living God. And this has to do with the person of our Lord Jesus. Although he comes to earth as a man. But he is the Son of the Living God. Dear brothers and sisters. What is our confession? What is our faith? What is our testimony? In summary, it is our knowledge of him in these two aspects. And because God has revealed this to us. From the depth of our heart we have seen. We have seen that Jesus is truly the Christ. He is truly the Son of the Living God. And this confession then is our testimony. Do you remember our Lord Jesus has said. If you confess me before man, then I will confess you before my Lord Jesus. If you do not confess me before man, then I will confess you before my Lord Jesus. Then I will not acknowledge you before God and the angels. So this acknowledgement confession is extremely important. But how can we have this powerful confession? We must have the revelation of God inside. Yesterday morning we mentioned. We could speak here about Jesus as the Son of God. And he is the Son of Man. We can all hear this. Maybe in our brains we all have accepted. But that has not constituted our confession. We must have the revelation of God. That we can see inside ourselves that Jesus is not an ordinary man. And he is not a man above other men. He is not Elijah. He is not John the Baptist. And he is not that prophet. He is greater than all of us. He is the only begotten Son of God. But we thank God that we also see from inside. And he has emptied himself this way. Dear brothers and sisters. And his equality with God, he does not consider that to be something to take. You can imagine how majestic, how glorious and how abundant it is in him. But because he loves us. He has emptied himself. He put on the form of a bound slave. He takes the likeness of man. He is wholeheartedly obedient until death, even the death of the cross. If in the depth of our spirit we see him as Son of Man. Then we cannot but confess him. Then we cannot but thank him. In the same principle. Our view of his office and his ministry is the same. We can talk about his ministry. We can hear his ministry. But if the Holy Spirit did not reveal this ministry of Jesus, Lord Jesus, in our hearts. Although he has done so many things for us. But we have no part in what he did. The more we can see his ministry. The more we can experience the work that he has accomplished. Therefore we have to experience our Lord Jesus. We have to see his ministry. Here it says, consider the apostle and high priest of our confession. What is to consider? You remember Lord Jesus in Matthew chapter 6. He says, do not worry about your clothing, your food. The Lord knows that we worry about these things. Otherwise he would not have mentioned it. The Lord says, you do not have to worry about these things. How can we not worry about these things? The more we look at ourselves. The more we think how important it is for us to eat and drink and clothes. So Lord Jesus tells us. Do not just look at yourself. If you look at yourself, you cannot but worry. But you have to look outward. You have to look heavenward. You see the bird in heaven. He does not talk, he does not read. But your heavenly father took care of it. Are not you more honorable than the birds? The birds are lowly. And if you spend one penny you can buy two. And two cents you buy five. And the five is an additional one. And the Lord says, that fell on the ground. Your father in heaven, he knows. In the original language it is even stronger than that. In the original language it says, if this extra bird, if it fell on the ground. Your heavenly father fell on the ground with it too. And that one which is worth less than half a penny. Is totally worthless. And your heavenly father took care of it in such way. Are not you more honorable than these birds? The Lord says you can also see to the ground. You can see the lilies on the wilderness. In the land of Judah. In the hills and valleys there are full of the lilies. And birds fly all over the place. And the lilies are all over the valley. And neither weave or spin. But your heavenly father put clothes on it. It is more beautiful than Solomon and his most majestic type. And you have to consider the lily in the wilderness. And what is to consider? To consider is to think about it. And you have to consider it this way and that way. As Mary who always put in his heart what he has seen, what he has heard of Lord Jesus. And she thinks this way and that way of him. And maybe the first time you cannot understand. But you think about it again and again. Then you have this revelation. So the Lord tells us here. We have to consider again and again. The Lord Jesus of our confession. And we have to continue to examine our Lord Jesus. Who is he after all? What he has done for us after all? And what is his ministry? And here it says that he is the apostle. In the Chinese translation it sounded like messenger. But in the original language it means apostle. We know that when our Lord Jesus was on this earth he has picked among his disciples twelve. And he sent out these twelve. And he gave them the authority to chase out demons and also to heal. And to proclaim the gospel. And these twelve sent ones became the apostles. So the meaning of apostle is the one that is sent. How the Lord sent his apostles out from the earth. To do what he commanded them to do. In the same way, our Lord Jesus He was sent by his heavenly father to come on this earth. So our Lord Jesus is the first apostle. All other apostles came out of him. He says, how my father has sent me, I also send you the same way. Our Lord Jesus, he is the apostle. And this is his ministry. If we look into the gospel of John. We cannot look over the whole gospel of John. We would not have time for that. But if you read the gospel of John yourself. You see that in the gospel of John there are more than twenty times. And our Lord Jesus says, I did not come here by myself. And it is the one that sent me. But the father who sent me, he told me to speak this way. And I hear what he said. Then I speak according to what he said. And the Holy Spirit that God gives him is unlimited. He said, my food is to be obedient to the will of the one that sent me. You do not know God. But I know him. Because I came from him, he sent me. Whoever receives me, receives the one who sent me. And I am not here. So in the gospel of John our Lord. He says, I have been sent. He did not come by himself. He is the apostle of God. And why was he sent by God? Here we see. The first thing. He is the apostle of God. He is sent here to represent his father, his God. As today in the nations. We see that a nation has to send an ambassador to another nation. Why he has to send an ambassador to the other country? We say that he will do things on behalf of his own country. He will deal with things in another country for his own country. But this is only secondary. When an ambassador goes out to the other country. The first job is to represent the country where he came from. So you see, however he moved. He represents his own country. Whether his own country can be respected by others. Depends on whether he can be respected. He does not go by himself. The honor or the shame of the country hinges upon him. This is the primary mission of an ambassador. Dear brothers and sisters. Our God in the ages past. He sent prophets. To among the Israelites. Prophets in the nations. He is a Gentile prophet. Prophet for the Gentiles. So you see that in the ages past. God has sent many prophets. But these prophets were only men. Although these were the holy men. So the spirit of God moved them. And God could speak through them. But their representation was not complete. So that is why you can find faults in the body of these prophets. Although their prophecy would be accurate. But the person is not perfect. He was not adequate to represent God. You know the thing that offended God the most. Is to misrepresent God. And this sin is greater than other sins. Moses was an example. And how the Israelites offended God. But God kept forgiving them. And God forgave them. But Moses. Moses was the servant of God. But there was once. And that once was not totally his fault. If the Israelites provoked him. He should not have said. I will give you water. He took the staff and struck the rock twice. And God originally told him. You just go. And you take the staff which is before the ark. And that staff is not the staff of Moses. It is not the staff which opened the red sea. And it is also not the staff which struck the rock the first time. So that water could flow out. And this staff was the one who was in the tent and before the ark. And this is the staff of Aaron. Do you remember that story? And the staff of Aaron burned. And it produced the almond flower. And this is the ministry. The office of the priest. And the ministry of a priest is according to the redemption work of God. So when do you take this up? You don't have to. You don't have to. Just say to this stone. Who are you? But Moses at that time was provoked. So in the end he. He took the staff and struck the rock twice. And when he did so. The almond flowers disappeared. Work was actually done. You did not have to strike it. And Christ is to be struck only once. And then all you have to do is to speak according to faith. But just that once Moses. He did something he should not have. He misrepresented God. He gave to Israelites. Oh this is what God is. Oh this is the God that you can provoke him. Because God is such an angry God. Dear brothers and sisters. Because Moses misrepresented God. He was not permitted to enter into Canaan. So you have to see that representation is so important. Our Lord Jesus is the apostle of God. But his representation of God is perfect. You remember Lord Jesus gave this example. He sent his servants to pick up the fruit. But the gardeners beat up the servant and sent him away. And when the master sent more servants. And these gardeners not even beat them. But some of them were even beaten to death. So finally the master said. I have only the garden servants. And want to send him. And they should respect him. Because he is I. He goes and I go. But unexpectedly those evil vicious gardeners. They say this is the inheritor. And if we beat him to death. Then we can have the property. Isn't that what the Jews at the time did to our Lord? They not only have rejected the prophet. And they also represented this son. Who completely represent God. They nailed him on the cross. Our Lord Jesus is the apostle of God. He said when you see me. You see the father. You know that the disciples have been with the Lord for three years. When the Lord was about to be crucified. That night. The Lord says I am leaving. You know what Philip said? He said Lord. Show us the father. Then we will be satisfied. Our Lord was so sad. He said I have been with you so long. And you are still asking this question. When you see me. You see the father. Dear brothers and sisters. No one represents God as our Lord Jesus. He is the only begotten son in the bosom of God. He completely declared the father. This is the meaning of the apostle. Our Lord Jesus is a faithful apostle. So today. All the servants of God has to pay heed. Because what you have done. Is not qualified as what you have represented. It is less than what you are. Because the first meaning of apostle. Is to represent. We thank God. He. We thank our Lord. He is the apostle of God. When we see him. We see God. On him we see the holiness of God. We see the love of God. We see the righteousness of God. We see the grace of God. In him we see this invisible God. He is the apostle of God. The second meaning of the apostle. Apostle is being sent. He is sent to accomplish a mission. What is this mission? You know the mission of our Lord Jesus is apostle. He is sent to accomplish the biggest mission. In the past there were many prophets that were sent. They all have missions. His mission is the one that only he can accomplish in the whole universe. Because between God and man there is only one mediator. And that is Jesus who has come down to be a man. And he has been a propitiation for the thousands. Dear brothers and sisters. Our Lord Jesus come to this earth. He did not come here for a prophet. I am sorry. He did not come here for a tour. He did not come here just for sightseeing. He is not coming here just to teach the people on this earth. Although he also teaches us. Just to chase out the demons and to heal. He came to this earth for only one thing. The mission is to save the descendants of Abraham. Who are the descendants of Abraham? Those who believe. They are the descendants of Abraham. He came to this earth. To accomplish that salvation. And he was born for this. His faith was towards Jerusalem. Although he knew that death was waiting for him in Jerusalem. But he walked facing Jerusalem. Although the enemies tempted him with various ways. And even to tell him that you could gain the whole world. You did not have to go. You did not have to go far. And if only you worship me. But our Lord Jesus. He was willing to give up the whole world. He wanted to be obedient to the will of his Father. Because only God is worthy of worship. Only God is worthy of service. Dear brothers and sisters. When we think of our Lord Jesus' honor. How did he accomplish the commission of God? Many prophets in the past. They came. They went. But they did not accomplish their mission. And they did not bring man back to God. But when God sent his son to be the apostle. He accomplished what man cannot accomplish. When he was crucified on a cross. Although people mocked at him. Although these bulls of Bashan. They surrounded him and attacked him. And that spoke of the power of the evil ones. That surrounded him and tried to attack him. Although he was crucified. Now as far as the flesh is concerned. He was painful to death. And as far as his heart. Psychology. And he was abused from various directions. And he was oppressed by all the power of darkness. But our Lord on the cross. The first word he said is Father. Forgive them. Because they do not know what they have done. Why he could pray this way? Why this prayer is answered by God? Because he himself is the substitution. So immediately you see. God has heard his prayer. And he said to the. The thief who are on his side. The thief said. Lord. When your kingdom came. When you have your kingdom. Remember me. And Lord said today. You will be with me in paradise. All the sins of this man. Was forgiven before God. Because the prayer of the Lord. Is heard by God. Today you and I can be forgiven. No matter how great was our sin. The Lord has prayed for you. God has heard his prayer. It is not your prayer being effective. But his prayer is answered by God. At the twelfth hour. The heaven and earth all dark. Because at the twelfth hour. From the twelfth hour to the third hour. And that is the time our Lord. Became a sacrifice for us. And it is not that the man has rejected him. It is not that the enemies attacked him. It is that he was crushed by the father who loved him. Why? He said there. My God. My God. Why have you forsaken me? I have been with you all my life. And even from eternal past. I have been with you all my life. Why do you forsake me? Do you know why? It's for you and for me. He has tasted death for us. He has experienced the pain of hell. What is the pain of hell? The greatest pain there is forever cessation from this living God. This is the greatest suffering in hell. But our Lord has tasted this for us. We thank and praise the Lord. In his last hour, he cried out loud. He says, accomplished. Whatever our Father has sent me to do, it is done. And this mission is accomplished. The redemption is accomplished. Then he bowed down his head and gave up the spirit. And he has restored the fellowship with his Father. Dear brothers and sisters, he is the apostle of God. For God, he has accomplished his commission. Today we thank God. Because he has accomplished his mission. So today we have received grace. Today we do not have to do anything. All we have to do is to believe. Because all things are accomplished. We thank and praise our God. There is a third meaning of apostle. The third meaning is that he is our commander. And he is our pioneer. You know that there is one Greek word which has been translated in four different ways in Chinese. And in the original language, there is all the same word. And twice in the book of Acts. And also another two times in the book of Hebrews. And in Hebrews, it says that he is the captain who brings many sons into glory. And this is also what is said in Hebrews chapter 12. And we look up to the one who is the author. And actually it is the same word. And that is to say that he is the one who initiated the whole thing. The originator. And he is our source. And he has accomplished for us. And also he has opened up a way for us. And he entered himself. And he is going to bring us into. So what is an apostle? An apostle not only has accomplished what he is supposed to do. But he has opened up for us. And he brings us on his way. And this is the meaning of the apostle. The apostle is not only here just to preach. And to give some messages. And even the messages are correct. But if he cannot bring people into. And it is not an apostle. So we see our Lord, he is the apostle. He not only has accomplished the redemption. And because of his death on the cross. Sin too. And he entered into the veil. Yes. And now he sits on the right hand of the great apostle. And he is going to bring all of us into this way. Dear brothers and sisters. Therefore today. We have to walk on this way of the cross. He has opened up for us a new and living way. He dedicates for us. He dedicates for us. Sorry. He has separated for us. He has separated. He has dedicated for us. And this is his way. Nobody else has walked on it. Nobody was able to walk on it. But he walked. Through the cross. And entered before God. And today this way that he has opened up for us. New and living. And he wants us to follow him. He is before us. And we are after him. And by his strength. That we walk on the way of the cross. And we walk through the cross. And enter into glory. We thank God. And this is our Lord. He is our apostle. So brothers and sisters. Have we seen how great a salvation that our Lord has accomplished for us? But we have such great salvation. And how can we ignore and neglect it? If we neglect it. How can we avoid punishment? So we have to pay heed. We have to diligently listen to the word of God. When we hear his word today. We cannot harden our heart. Lest we have a heart of unbelief. And we lose that rest. And this is the first aspect of the ministry and office of our Lord. But his office and ministry is not only this. And he said consider the apostle and high priest Jesus. When our Lord was on earth. And he was sent. He was the apostle. But after he accomplished his mission. He went back to God. He sat on the right hand of God. No. Now he is raised up in the high heaven. He is sitting on the right hand of God. And he is the high priest. Dear brothers and sisters. Today our Lord. I remember a small story. And there was an old sister in the past. And she was rather illiterate. But she was very pious. And she asked to be baptized. So some of the responsible brothers surrounded him. And asked her questions. And she examined her. Her faith. One question. What is our Lord Jesus doing in heaven? You know what she said? She thought about it. She said Lord Jesus today is standing in heaven. His eyes are searching all over. He is looking at me. To see if there is anything wrong with me. And this is what our Lord is doing in heaven. Although she did not. Of course she did not pass. Dear brothers and sisters. You know what our Lord Jesus is doing in heaven? I think many Christians do not know. We only know what our Lord Jesus has done on earth for us. We do not know what our Lord Jesus is doing in heaven for us. For this reason. No wonder we do not look like a Christian. Although we have received grace. We have received the redemption of the salvation of the cross. But our life as a Christian. Realistically. Totally depends upon him as our high priest. And talking about Lord Jesus as our high priest. I think it is not clear in our brothers and sisters. The reason we are not clear. Is probably because we are confused by the priesthood in the Old Testament time. In the Old Testament time. And God saved Israelite. The purpose of God is for them to be a kingdom of priests. Every Israelite has to be a priest. And every Israelite can serve God. And should serve God. And this is the will of God. But because Israelite worship this golden cow. They disqualify themselves. So they were not able to serve God. And the result is. And God chose the tribe of Levi. And the house of Aaron. And for them to be the priests. And established among men the class of clergy. As the difference between clergy and laity. So every time when we think about our Lord Jesus as the high priest. Then we have a confused concept. In reality. Every believer is a priest. 1 Peter 2 verse 5. You came to the Lord as living stone. And you will be built together as a spiritual priesthood. And through Jesus offer up a spiritual sacrifice. And it is also said. In the book of Revelation. And he loved us. He has washed us clean with his blood. And he redeemed us. So that we can be a nation of priests. So we see every believer is a priest. And everyone has a responsibility to serve our God. So why? You know the priest at that time. What they did in the temple. Was under the direction of the high priest. Without the high priest. These many priests. They would not know what to do. And what you should do. You should do. I do. And what I should do. I do not do. It is because we do not know our high priest. And for a matter of time. I can only hurry. And there we see that Lord Jesus being our high priest. The first. And that has great to do with our life as a Christian. They did not Bible say. Our Lord is living forever. Praying intercessory. Whoever has come to God through him. He can save us to the uttermost. And those of us who have gone before God through him. He can save us to the uttermost. Why? And he interceded for us constantly. On the right hand of God. Because his prayer is heard. And can be saved out of many temptations. Now we can be restored. You remember our Lord said. Before the cock crows. And I will die. But Lord said. Before the cock crows. You will deny me three times. And Satan is going to sift you. But I have prayed for you. And when you are restored. Strengthen your brothers. Dear brothers and sisters. Three times Peter denied me. Can this kind of person be restored? The Lord has prayed for him. Today. When we fell. When we failed. The Lord has prayed for us. The Lord is going to restore us. We can be restored out of failure. Not by our own strength. Not by the encouragement of man. But because he has prayed for us. His prayer was heard and answered by God. Dear brothers and sisters. Today our prayer can be answered. The Bible tells us. It's because his prayer is mixed with our prayer. Often times I feel. My prayer is so weak. So you add your prayer. And God hear your prayer. Dear brothers and sisters. When we live daily on earth. Where does this grace come from? It is because the effectiveness of our Lord Jesus being the High Priest. Because he is the High Priest. And he prayed for us before God. So the Holy Spirit which he sent works in us. Sometimes he convicted us. Sometimes he encouraged us. When we need grace. He gives us grace. When we need comfort. The Holy Spirit comforts. You know the work of the Holy Spirit. Is totally related to the High Priest. Our Lord represents us before God. The Holy Spirit represents the Lord in us. And because of these two mediators. And these two paracletors. And these two comforters. We see. That we can live by him daily on this earth. Without him being the High Priest. We cannot be a Christian for one single minute. So as far as our life, living is concerned. We need him to be our High Priest. And by him we can come to the Father. And to receive grace. To find grace. With our seasonal health. Not only so. Number two. He is our High Priest. So that we can do the duty of priest. How can we be a servant of God? Because he is our High Priest. If today we hold fast to our head. He is going to direct us. He is going to bring us. So that on our own duty. To do our duty. That we can serve God. We can serve brothers and sisters. So that the body can be built up in love. The third. He being our High Priest. Is that he is the mediator of this new covenant. Dear brothers and sisters. Because of the blood of Jesus. Which he shed on the cross. God has a new covenant with you and me. What is this new covenant? And this is what Hebrew chapter 8 said. Maybe we have a chance to speak about it again. Brothers and sisters. Today we can enjoy this grace of new testament. Because he is our mediator. And he is going to give us the new testament grace. And he is going to serve us. And our High Priest is going to minister to us. Using the new testament. New covenant. So that we can experience all the graces of this new covenant. The fourth. The Lord being our High Priest. Not only it speaks to every one of us. He is my High Priest. He is your High Priest. More importantly. Where does he serve? The book of Hebrew said. He did not enter into the tabernacle which is built by the hand of man. And he served in the true tent which is pitched by God. Now what is this true tent? And this true tent is the church. So you see the first three chapters of Revelation. Our Lord Jesus was walking among the seven golden lamps. And his garment is the garment of High Priest. And he is there to train, restore, and teach. And he is there to restore and equip the church. Until the church becomes a glorious church. And this true tent becomes a new Jerusalem. And who is doing this work? Not by man. Just like my brother said last night. The Lord said. And I will build my church. The Lord himself is doing it. And this rock is the confession of Peter. And now the Lord is in heaven. He is building. He built you and me on himself. When he walks among the golden lampstand he is building. And will he fail? He will not fail. You and I will fail. And for sure we will fail. And even before we do it we fail. But our Lord he shall not fail. He is the apostle who never fails. And he has set the foundation. He is the High Priest. And he will not fail. And he will build his church. And he will gain a glorious church. To be his bride. Dear brothers and sisters. And this is such a glorious thing. We thank and praise our Lord. Our Lord is our High Priest. He is the apostle. We have faith in him. We trust all what he has done. He is the High Priest. And we have to be obedient to him. If we are obedient to him. Then he can accomplish enough. The work of the High Priest is bow down and pray. Our Lord will look up to you. We believe that your Holy Spirit is working here. We ask that you take all these pragmatic words. And add your own speaking. So that we can see from the depth of our heart. You are our apostle. You are our High Priest. And when we have you there is nothing to fear. And having you we lack nothing. We have to cry out loud. You are sufficient. We thank and praise our Lord. In the name of Jesus.

Stephen Kaung (1915 - 2022). Chinese-American Bible teacher, author, and translator born in Ningbo, China. Raised in a Methodist family with a minister father, he converted to Christianity at 15 in 1930, driven by a deep awareness of sin. In 1933, he met Watchman Nee, joining his indigenous Little Flock movement in Shanghai, and served as a co-worker until 1949. Fleeing Communist persecution, Kaung worked in Hong Kong and the Philippines before moving to the United States in 1952. Settling in Richmond, Virginia, he founded Christian Fellowship Publishers in 1971, translating and publishing Nee’s works, including The Normal Christian Life. Kaung authored books like The Splendor of His Ways and delivered thousands of sermons, focusing on Christ-centered living and the church’s spiritual purpose. Married with three children, he ministered globally into his 90s, speaking at conferences in Asia, Europe, and North America. His teachings, available at c-f-p.com, emphasize inner life over institutional religion. Kaung’s collaboration with Nee shaped modern Chinese Christianity.
