God lives and works today. This reality is experienced above all by people who love Him. Love for God contains an immeasurable strength, for it unites us with the Almighty Creator of the whole universe. If you are longing to have this love in your life, listen to today's meditation by Basilia Schlink called, The Mightiest Power. Oh, none can be loved as is Jesus. None like Him is found anywhere. Tis He, whom I love, whom I live for. One, oh, one with Him can compare. So all that I have, I will give Him. I'll sacrifice all I hold dear. My whole life to Jesus belong me. My heart seeks my Lord to reveal. What power lies hidden in love for Jesus? For whoever is united with Him can do everything. Therefore, if we do everything for the love of Jesus, even peeling potatoes or standing at the same machine day after day, and continually say, Out of love for you, Jesus, then our work will have far-reaching effects, greater than we can imagine. Thus the simplest work can bring forth fruit because it's filled with everlasting power. It is only fellowship with Jesus that can give this eternal value to a piece of work. Why? Because love is the greatest power in the world. Spiritual atomic power lies in union with Jesus. Even if a man is ill, bedridden, and seemingly inactive, he can accomplish great far-reaching feats for the kingdom of God. Yes, if he will only do and suffer everything in union with Jesus, he will bring forth rich fruit for eternity. It has become my daily prayer as I awaken in the morning. Jesus, let me do everything today together with you, working, speaking, thinking. Don't let me be separated from you today. Holy Spirit, admonish me when I cease to abide in Jesus. Amen. I know that our lives can be fruitful only when we live in fellowship with Jesus. Gladly for Thee, dear Lord, what Thou dost ask I'll give, and never rest until how Thou dost bid I live, Thy holy will fulfill me. Therefore, do not get lost in your everyday work and business, but lose yourself in work with your innermost heart set on Jesus, living in His presence, abiding in Him. Then your work will follow you into eternity, and you will reap a rich harvest from it. Gladly for Thee, dear Lord, and for Thine goodness' sake, all that Thou wilt I'll do, Thy greater glory make the aim of all my living.
