Father, we do praise thee for each other. We praise thee that we're washed in the blood of Jesus Christ, saved, sanctified, justified, and kept by the power of God. We're bought with a great price with the blood of Jesus Christ. We love thee. We are thy treasures. Men's treasures are so many wrong things, but God treasures us enough to have shed his blood to buy us, to pay for the penalty of hell and damnation which a just God hath to give to all men. But, oh, thank thee, our Father, that thou didst so love us that thou didst give thine only begotten Son. Thank thee for Jesus above everything we could have in our minds at any point of life or eternity. Thank thee, our Father, for Jesus Christ. Thank thee he lives in our hearts. Thank thee the Holy Spirit shall not speak of himself. His whole work is to glorify Jesus, and that he does more than anything else by conforming us into the image of Jesus. Oh, the letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth life to this book, but the one intent and purpose is that men and women may be saved from the spoilt state they are, from the false, not saved from hell, but that they may be brought back into the image of God, to be conformed into the image of Christ. And if that is not seen in us, then we are the greatest grief that could ever be to God. No matter how jealous we are, no matter how sacrificial, if men see nothing of Christ in us, we've missed the mark totally. We are grief to God and man. If Christ is not recognized in our reactions, in our words, in our conduct, even our gaze toward our enemy, when our enemy would hurt us, there is our example, leaving us an example that we should follow his steps, who did no sin. Now there was guile found in his mouth, who when he was reviled, reviled not again. When he suffered, he threatened not. Oh, that we would be as our example and follow his steps, that men may see even our enemies may suddenly recognize in us something that will haunt them, and they see the Lord Jesus. Oh, come, come, make thy people like Jesus. We, as clay in the potter's hand, would be as Jesus. The world will forget messages, even the greatest preacher's messages, but no one can forget a Christ-like life. It will haunt them, it will eat at them, it will condemn them, but it will draw them also to God, there's nothing else on earth. Make us like Jesus. When men look in our eyes, they may say, this is what Jesus is like. This must be what Jesus is like. We will know thee, Lord Jesus, from what thou has revealed of thyself in us, in each other. When we shall see him, we shall be like him, we shall be like him, we shall see him as he is. Oh God, we thank thee that we will recognize thee by so much of what we've seen in each other. Men can be made so Christ-like. Make us like Jesus, for all is wasted in our lives. Come now, bless thy word, for no man can be a blessing to us. Without thee, we can do nothing. Come bless thy word, oh God, to every heart, in Jesus Christ's holy name. We all ask these things, amen. There are passages of scriptures which you and I love. One of the passages, and you need not look it up because you all know these passages off by heart, I'm sure of that. I'd be stunned if there was any here that didn't know these wonderful words of the Lord Jesus. As the brother who brought the children's talk ended with in the mighty sermon in the mount, the greatest sermon ever preached, never will a preacher ever preach a sermon greater than the sermon Christ brought. In Matthew 5, 6 and 7, some of the words of that sermon are stunning, stunning. The Lord Jesus said in chapter 7, verse 7, ask and it shall be given you. Seek and ye shall find. What a promise, think of who's saying this. Think of whose integrity is behind these words, who will be obliged for eternity, and no man will say, it didn't happen, it wasn't true, Lord Jesus. What doubted promise. Think of who is saying these words to us. Ask and it shall be given you. Seek and ye shall find. Knock and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh, receiveth. And he that seeketh, findeth. For him that knocketh, it shall be opened. For what man is there of you whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? If he asketh this, will he give him a serpent? Yet ye, then, being evil, know how to give good unto your children. How much more shall your Father, which is in heaven, give good things to them that asketh? Ask and it shall be given you. I was stunned at a man's life who I had to speak at his burial service. And I had sat many times with this godly man, and he said the first time God ever answered a prayer that he asked was when he was a boy on the farm during the Depression. There was no money, and a lot of hard work brought very little in. People struggled to survive, even farmers with big farms. It was not easy to survive in the Depression. They were a poorly people. A large family, many boys. He was one of the younger boys of the family, and they had to work and labor on that farm. He said they had no money for shoes for most of the children. That's how poor they were. Now, that's poor. Those boys had to work the land. He said he took the plow, and there the ox was pulling it. He was going through the land, and he was crying because his feet were so hurting. He looked down, and he saw the blood oozing through his toes, just seeping up through his toes. He cried loud. He fell down. No one else but he was on that land that day. As he fell down, sat down, he began to sob and sob. He said, Oh God, oh God, if only I had money. If only I had money for a pair of boots, that I don't have to agonize like this all day. If only I had money for a pair of boots, please God, could thou not give me money that I could acquire a pair of boots? And he said through the tears, he looked down at the ground, and next to his toes, it was a little green piece of paper, just a chip flickering in the wind. Out of the ground, this unused land that has been felt, now they're plowing. And he just pulled and pulled, and there was a five-pound note. Now a five-pound note those days was an awful lot of money, and to find that in the middle of the fields that your father sent you to, the land way out there that men hadn't farmed before as he's plowing, now that's something precious. And he ran all the way back to the farm, you know, with his five pounds. The whole family was stunned, got on its knees to thank God when he told them what he, they didn't say, give us the money, we have other needs, not your shoes. They got on the big ox cart, you know, went down to the town as a whole family to buy him his first pair of boots. They knew, you know, it doesn't just happen when Jesus was alive and said, money, or go and just pull a fish out there and open the mouth. And there they find the money they needed right away. This same God is right now in the fields to a boy weeping and crying out, don't think that was just a coincidence, ask. Oh, but there's something wonderful here, ask, and it shall be given you. You know what James says? You have not because he asked not. That's a rebuke. You don't have anything that you really need because you don't ask with belief. You don't ask, you don't ask it of me. You look past the miracle, you look past the God of miracles who delights to prove himself. He asks, this is terrible, and you receive not. There is times we ask and we don't receive. You have not because he asks not. You don't ask the God, this is ask, and it shall be given you. James cries, you have not because you ask not, like the Lord said. But then he goes on, he asks and you receive not, because he asks amidst, that you may consume it upon your lusts. What does he mean here? You that ask that God doesn't answer the prayer, you ask wrongly, and your life is wrong. You see, ninety-five percent of every single verse in the Bible that speaks of God answering prayer has a condition, a condition that your life must be right with God, whether you're a child or a grown man or a priest. He asks and you receive not because he asks amidst, that you may consume it upon your lusts. Oh, that you were right with God, and you would know what to ask for. You wouldn't ask amidst, that you may consume it upon your life, lusts. There is a verse in this book that has staggered me, I will therefore that men pray everywhere. That's God's will. I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands. Oh, now that's different. What is God saying here? When Moses lifted up his hands, he was in the most earnest prayer, fervent prayer of a righteous man. This lifting up holy hands, lifting up hands was an attitude of an earnest, hot cry to God. It wasn't just something in dignity. Oh, Jesus lifted up his hands toward heaven when he prayed. I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands. What is God saying here? Have you the right to ask God great things or little things? Are your hands holy? You who pray for America? You who pray for revival? Why has God not brought revival? Have we asked ourselves, church of Christ? I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath or doubting, without doubting, James insists. In chapter one, verse five, let him ask in faith, nothing wavering, for he that wavers is like a wave of the sea, driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he should receive anything of the Lord. Let not that man think that he should receive anything of the Lord without doubting, without doubting. In such faith is the fruit of a holy life, John declares in chapter three, verse 21 of 1 John. Such faith is the fruit of a holy life. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask of him, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. Can I repeat that verse? Beloved, if our hearts condemn us not, then have we confidence. Beloved, if our hearts condemn us not, when we read this book, when we sit under the ministry, when we have any consciousness of God's presence, as Isaiah, when God is anywhere near us, our hearts condemn us, Isaiah cries out, woe is me. But beloved, if our hearts condemn us not in the presence of God in the quiet time, if our hearts condemn us not as we soak ourselves in the book, if our hearts condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. The eyes of the Lord are over the righteous as ears are open unto their prayers. Listen carefully what God is saying here. To you who ask and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. The eyes of the Lord are over the righteous as ears are open unto their prayers. James 5 verse 16, the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much, accomplishes amazing things. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Then he uses an illustration in the next verse. He points us back to the Old Testament, to Elijah. He calls him Elias. Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, same weaknesses as we have. And he prayed earnestly that it might not rain. And it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit. What is God saying here? Oh, this godly man wasn't just praying to prove miracles, you know. God doesn't do that much. It's to prove that his God did the purpose here. This man was praying for his nation to be brought back to God. Let me tell you something. There was barrenness. There was drought. There was dirt. The animals were dead in their cells. Men were battling to survive. The land was barren. This man was praying, anything God, do anything but bring this people back to God. Stop the rain, God. You want to know what will happen when you start praying earnestly for revival for America? You'll forget about all your privileges. When Charles Lamphere prayed in the revival, the prayer revival that started there in Fulton Street in New York, in the Dutch Reformed Church, he had six people, and they prayed, do anything, God, to this nation. You know what God did three weeks later after they started praying? There was an economical collapse. There was jobs nowhere. There was a barrenness of money. Men walking around battling who once were wealthy. They lost everything in one moment, and suddenly millions turned to God in the next three years, because six men prayed, do anything, God. Oh God, stop the rain. That dirt will come. You might not be fitting to pray that. Be careful what you pray. But he was so holy, he had the mind of God. This will bring the people back to God, and all their wealth is gone. So God did it because he saw his heart. He saw the motives of his heart. He saw this is true. This man had something of the mind of God, of the ways of man that God could bring them back to touch their wealth, touch all their comforts, and watch how fast they turned back to the God that they say doesn't exist in America. Oh, the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man of hale as much. Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain, and it rained not. The space of the earth and sea is in six months. I knew a man called Nicky Chobler. He was a missionary in Africa. When he was a young missionary, young evangelist, he went to a town in South Africa which is called George, Georgetown, and no one would let him preach. They didn't want him in the churches. With this message of being born again, they wouldn't even allow him into the buildings that were available for meetings. So he said, but God said I must come, and the Christians of the town said, well what can you do? There's nowhere to come to to hold meetings. They won't let you here. He said, I'm going to get a tent, the one we use out in the farmland for all the conferences and conventions where there are no buildings. I'm going to go get it with all the steel stools we put it out, and I'm going to put up a tent outside of the town. They won't let me in the town. I'll go outside of the town, but I'm coming. They warned him you can't put a tent up. Now look, look at the weather. You see that mountain, this massive mountain that seems to swallow you up when you look up at it. There's burg winds. There's winds that come down there, like storms you've never seen. Nothing will stand that is in concrete. You can't do that. You can't come. Now look, the winds are stirring. He said, I'm coming. Oh, they couldn't stop him, so they helped him to put this massive tent up. All the chairs all over the place, these steel chairs, and the adverts were going out. He was going from home to home, and everyone trying to help him, now the Christians. And the meeting started, and people began to come to seek God. A few nights later, suddenly they're sitting in this massive tent, the crowds now, and they heard this rumble, and everyone knew, oh, within seconds, this tent will be blown away. They knew what's coming when you hear that rumble from the mountain. They knew. Within moments, suddenly the ropes of the tent started snapping, snapping, snapping. The poles all around the side falling up, the tent beginning to lift up, the water like a waterfall coming, but there's amazing wind with it, this horrifying wind, and it's groaning. The people getting up, some beginning to scream, some starting to turn to try and run out to get out of the tent before it all comes down, these massive poles. He looked at all this, and he shouted, wait, wait. And this young man, Nicky Crobber, he lifted his hands as the people turned and looked back at him, and he said, oh God, stop this storm now, in Jesus Christ's name. And as he said that, suddenly there was a silence. The tent went down. There wasn't a drop more of rain, or this torrent. There wasn't a breeze. There was a silence, and the people all came back and sat and listened to a man. They knew God answered his prayers. You know, a revival broke out there, the only revival, George, ever knew in its history. More people were saved through that young man at that time than any other time in the history of that town. All over the farmlands, they started bringing their lorries and anything to bring to hear a man who God answers his prayers. God answers his prayers. You come to hear a man like that. Oh, the same Lord Jesus Christ who stood on the Sea of Galilee when the storm rose and hearths were filled with fear, and he said to the storm, be still, be still. The same Lord Jesus looked at a man called Nicky Crobber. He looked at the prayer of this effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man called Nicky Crobber, crying out for the storm to stop in one moment, and God stopped the storm totally. The same God lives today for any effectual, fervent prayer of any righteous man. Oh, he's stunned, I believe, when we don't ask, when the devil comes against us, when we have the onslaught of Satan, and believe me, he comes in every way to destroy our efforts, to destroy our home with storms you cannot believe, storms of life. And God stands amazed that we don't stand and ask for protection from the devil, wonderful protection that's available. I was preaching in a conference in South Africa a few years ago, and there were many farmers in that convention. It was out in the countryside where there's farms and there's thousands and thousands of farms, and many, many farmers are saved in South Africa. And there were godly people, a man by the name of Willie Clooney and his wife Cora, who I'd come to love. They were in that convention. And I made the statement when I was preaching on the blood of Christ, on everything, every aspect of the blood of Christ, not just the forgiveness of sins. And I came to make a statement that if you ever become conscious the devil is against you, trying to destroy you or hinder you or hurt you, do one thing, look up. Don't you rebuke the devil. Look up to God, look up to Christ, no matter what's coming against you. And pray this prayer, O God, shelter us under the blood of Christ and rebuke the devil away in the name of Jesus Christ. A few days later after that conference, these two farming people were standing and there was a felt fire. Fires in Southern Africa are terrible things, especially if there's a gale that suddenly takes hold. There's no stopping the fires. They go on for up to 100 miles of just black as you go over. Oh, homes, farms shed, burnt, nothing stood, nothing left of the crop, people losing their lives. It's the most terrifying thing. A few days after that conference, these people who were there were standing and suddenly there was a felt fire, she said. It was like a tidal wave, the fire, the flame on the horizon. It wasn't just there for, it was just coming at such a pace with this incredible gale, this wind blowing it. It was high, you could see it for miles, but it was coming at such a pace. Everyone's hearts just fell to tears. All the fire breaks they'd made, nothing was going to stop this and here it was coming from this next farm over to their land. Everything they'd built up, their home, everything was going to be burned. And her husband, Billy, said to all the workers and all the farmers that had been contacted through the radios all around and coming to help with their laborers to try and make fire breaks. They all stood there, everybody gave up and knew there's one thing left to do now, get in the cars, get in the lorries, let's just get away before it reaches you. Nothing's going to stop this. And she said, wait, we've just come from a conference. A man said, if you know the devil is trying to destroy you, pray the prayer. Her husband looked and weeping, he said, I can't pray that prayer, you all pray it. And this lady, this woman of God, was the only one with the courage and the faith to do it. The others just looked at her and were riled over. She shouted, weeping, shelter us under the blood of Christ, rebuke the devil in the name of Jesus Christ. And as she said that, this gale, this gale, this incredible wind turned in the exact opposite direction. Now, sir, that's impossible, but God can do it. To a woman, weeping, earnestly, effectually, fervently, righteous. And men fell on their knees, all the laborers fell on their knees as they saw God answering this woman's prayer, turning the scale the exact opposite direction that it didn't cross the street onto their land. It just burned itself out. Oh, God stands amazed that we don't ask. You have not, because you ask not. And when you're too weary to ask, to pray when the devil is trying to destroy you, God raises up others who have earnestness and fervency and a righteous life. We were in my home in Cape Town, where there's much crime, much violence that you people are protected from in your country, because we turned our back on God long ago, and now we're suffering, and God's speaking, but there's such horror. Very few people have not been involved and hurt by crime in our country. We were, I was lecturing at some theological seminar, twice a day giving sermons, spiritual sermons to the beginning of their commencement of their term. And I was weary after a few days of these two sermons a day, pouring myself out. I came home the last night, and I fell on the bed. My family was asleep. It was about 11 o'clock in the night. I fell in the bed, and I did something I'd never done. From the day I was saved to that day, I'd never ever fell asleep without crying to God for the protection of the blood of Christ and my family, to rebuke the devil that he doesn't allow any evil person near my home to hurt me, or my family, or our belongings. I fell asleep. Don't think that that just means nothing. Don't think that doesn't mean this battle between God, we have a terrible enemy in the devil. Don't doubt that. You have a terrible enemy. You have a mighty God, but you have an enemy that's wounded. There is no war the world has ever seen. Put every war the world has ever known, the casualties, the deaths, the hurts, the wounds, the smashed lives, the crushed world. Nothing, nothing can compare with the war between God and Satan that destroyed lives. It's a terrible war. It's a terrible enemy we have that's not giving any glory, but you've got to be pretty far down your head under the sand to know that the devil, do not know the devil has destroyed most lives in this world, more than any world war did. There I was, do you think the devil was just going to say, well there you are, you just missed his prayer, nothing I can do. Oh, that night, six men broke into our home, one with a gun, a machine gun, the others with other guns. One had been released from prison a month before, he was a murderer. He'd been allowed out after a while, and straight away gets these people with him, and off they are. It is believed by one or two of the police that they were responsible for murdering two people the night before they broke into our home. Now I woke up and I heard this door banging, bang. What is this? The wind banging the door. I ran back and there's the back door banging, it's been opened. I saw some other window they got through. First thing I could think of is the children. I ran downstairs to look at the children. They're safe, they're asleep, but they're safe. Then I quickly got Jenny, we had a little prayer, we got the children up, we got the police to come. It was very early in the morning, the policeman was taking down all the details of every little thing that I could tell him, walked around taking notes, and then the telephone rang, and a young man of 26 years of age, one of the godliest men in our land, though he's only a young man, I won't give you his name, what a telephone key. Are you safe? Are the children safe? Is Jenny safe? I said yes, thank god. But how did you know? How did you know what happened? He said I don't know. Tell me what happened. I said well men, people broke in our house, they've taken our things, many of our things are gone. The police are sitting here right now. I said but what made you phone? He said Keith, last night I woke up, I had a dream. He said I don't have dreams. Other people, I look at them and think, I don't know if I've ever made any dream up in my life. I had a dream, I woke up, it was so vivid that I was sobbing, I was sobbing aloud. My wife said what's wrong? He said I dreamed, I just dreamed somehow in my mind that Jenny and the children, Keith, are in danger, somebody's gonna hurt them. She said Keith, it was so vivid, I began to sob. I wanted to phone, I said you can't phone someone on a dream. You know most people who have dreams that I know, they're not even saved. I don't go for dreams and visions very easily. But when a man is holy, I don't doubt it was from god. I said what do you do? He said well my wife said let's pray. So we got on our knees and we just wept to god to protect you, whatever the devil was trying to do. That's why I'm phoning so early. I said what time was it? He said it was two o'clock in the morning. I turned to the policeman who was sitting there looking at me. I said those men broke in our house at two o'clock in the morning sir. This policeman just looked at us. How do we know what time? Oh the wonder of god's love. Raising up those when you're too tired and weary to pray for yourself. When the devil wants to destroy you, he'll raise up others. He's not unjust in this war but there's something that I don't understand of all the things of god. But believe me, prayer is the thing. Prayer is the thing. Prayer is what accomplishes great things for god. And prayer, lack of prayer is the reason the devil advances and hurts because we ask not. God has to get hold of men you know. I love that verse in the bible, Romans 8 I think it is, of when we pray we don't know how to pray as he ought to you know. Have you remembered that verse? Let me just look at something here that's very precious to me. Listen, likewise the spirit also helpeth our infirmities, our weaknesses. We don't know what we should pray for as he ought. Let's be honest. But the spirit itself make it a decession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. That's not speaking about tongues. Don't let people talk of that and say these groanings that cannot be uttered. It's nothing to do with what they're thinking of. This here is speaking about groanings from god as he's in our hearts groaning. We're suddenly groaning in our prayers. A man waking up in the middle of the night groaning and weeping. Oh god take hold of anyone available, anybody right and prayer is instigated by god. Groanings, oh the spirit itself make it a decession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. He that searcheth the heart knoweth what is in the mind of the spirit because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of god. It's the holy spirit that teaches us to pray. You just need someone to be able to share the burden of what he's feeling for your country. You'll find yourself groaning not watching television so I don't think you people do. Thank goodness. How many christians do while their country's being destroyed? Who's groaning about what they watch and they're moaning, they're blaming the president, they're blaming the government, they're blaming everybody else. It's the people of god that need to be in their knees and groanings. If only we were right with god. If only we were in control by god. If only god could pray through us. Only god could see righteous people that he could take and to have the mind of christ and they ask for what the will of god because we don't know how to ask. Oh god takes hold of people and prays in them if we ourselves are too weak. You know Mary Morrison, Mary Peckham, Colin Peckham. I don't know if there are any in your church. Colin Peckham's a godly man. Know what they meant to me Colin and Mary when they were young missionaries. I still remember when I was a young fellow how they fell in love. We saw them running over the street holding hands you know. Dear Colin and Mary. Before she was married she was Mary Morrison. She had been up in Africa as a missionary but her testimony of the revival in the hebrides has been taken by god to enlighten the world what real revival is. It's not just a series of organized meetings. It's when god comes and nothing can stop him because there's someone praying. Well Mary Morrison was driving in a car between Edinburgh and some other towns. She was going over the hills of Scotland in her car and she'd been to southern Africa. She had met probably the godliest man that was alive at his time in our land. Ethelbert Smith. He led thousands and thousands and thousands of Christ across our land. She had come to love this man and his family. Now she's in Scotland the other side of the world. She's driving in his car and suddenly she begins to weep and sob and groan and all she can see is the Smith family. All that's impressed on her is of Ethelbert Smith and his family. She begins to cry out to god for them not knowing anything what's going on just suddenly she's weeping in a car. Eventually she arrives in Edinburgh in Scotland. Gets on the phone to the other side of the world. Oh I've been weeping. I don't know what it is. Is anything wrong? And Mrs. Smith said what time my dear was it that you started weeping like that? She told the time she said oh my dear that is the exact minute my husband died and this family of mine was plunged into such despair at that moment. Suddenly all my children we were lost. Our loved ones gone and god must have seen our groanings and our hurtings and our weepings and he just took in his love and his compassion. He took hold of you the other side of the world and you began to pray which in the heart of god for our comfort. Oh when we can't pray for ourselves god takes others to pray for our protection. Oh god is good you know. You have no idea what's going on but this wonderful god just knows what to do and how to do it if we write with him. If we really can't pray for ourselves. Wonder of god's love. The wonder of his goodness. Oh there's so much I'd like to share with you. Do you know what James is speaking about when he speaks about the effectual servant prayer of a righteous man? He's just been speaking about the healing of the sick. I don't know if you know James. You should really get through it. That's a lovely book. Get through it a hundred times. That's the first time you really understand it as you ought to. Read it and read and read and oh and then you're weeping over it. It just blazes out the mind of Christ. There's very few books in the bible will come into your heart. Don't neglect the book of James beloved. Here James now comes and says is any sick among you? Is any? That's quite a question for a priest to ask. Anyone sick here? What a statement. For those who have not because they ask not. Let him call for the elders of the church. Let them pray over him anointing him with oil in the name of the lord and the prayer of faith shall save the sick. The lord shall raise him up. If he has committed sins they shall be forgiven him. Confess your fault one to another and pray one for another that he may be healed. Confess your fault as what physical sickness you have. The romans believe it's confessing of sin to each other. It's not true. In its context right there. Confess it and pray one for another you may be healed. You might be healed by god. Now that is wonderful you know how god has taken the weakest of brethren who just had a little moment of faith to look up in childlike faith and reach out to heal. I'll never forget the first time well it wasn't the first time it was a significant time in my life when suddenly it was thrown on me for someone to be prayed for. A lady who was holding a gun at her head. Her whole life destroyed and as she was about to pull the trigger the groaning god made sure a christian walked in the door from over the road who seldom ever went there but walked right into the house then and saw this woman about and screamed that you're coming with me instead of meeting here. I was preaching down in Port Alfred. This woman comes along with the whole family at night dragged and oh she got mightily saved and most of her family that night got mightily saved. Now she says to me there's god that stopped me from giving up because I know god stopped me. I know that person dragged me to hear this and to find this peace that I found for the first time in my life through the gospel of christ that I'd never heard. Now I wanted to look at my daughter. Her daughter was in all these braces. I don't know what I can't remember all the details why she was in that state but it was back in her neck and she was walking in a very strange way and hurting and she said the doctors the specialists have told us they don't understand that it won't heal. It just when they want to when it should have healed nothing's healing and this girl's going on and on these braces all over her. She said if god could have done what he did to stop me and save me like he did last night I want you to pray to the same god to hear my daughter and I just looked at her so I called for the elders I called for those godly people I knew in that church and that were in those meetings and I said would you come would you just put hands on her we pray for her. Her daughter said to her mommy that night mommy I'm healed. Mommy said well I'm not taking off the braces until we go to the doctor so we went to the doctor. The doctor said well your daughter may say she's healed but it just doesn't happen like that. I was with her a few days ago I can guarantee you she's not healed. She says look Chad I want you to see. The doctor eventually reluctantly started making all sorts of research and he said this is amazing this girl is totally healed and he was stunned and she told him who I and how god did it. Isn't it wonderful little girl so full of this sickness on her skin like an eczema but it was a I can't put the details it doesn't sound of what was happening on her skin all over her body but it's pathetic to see this little baby and the parents love Christ and it went on and on the doctors couldn't get it rectified all ointments all treatments trying to the imbalance in her whatever it was this girl weeping through the night this little lovely little girly and I was just about to drive off from the town in a Lutheran church over there in South Africa in one of the German communities about town about country and uh this parent walked out at me won't you come back and just pray for our little girl please I said all right let's go and pray and I didn't have faith that you know you walk out there there's just going to have to I I almost apologized to god I don't think god thinks that's unbelief and if it's thy will lord I don't want to work these people up and then they say god has failed them because I worked them up and said it has to be that they're healed you know no I just said lord if it's thy will please and mercy reveal thy love and thy power and heal this dear little girlie so I got in the car and drove off and about three days later the phone went and it's the mother and says Keith from the that night we just thought all started to heal she's totally healed after all these years from virtual birth that she's been in this pain oh god is good you have not because he asked not god says isn't it lovely that we have a god to serve ask and it shall be given you seek and you shall find you look at Matthew 6 isn't it wonderful Matthew 6 and when god called me to bible school now it wasn't like your bible school we won't accept miscenneries in most of our societies in Africa unless they'd have theological training so we have to go through these venues and get something of a foundation now I took two years before I said yes to god I argued with god I argued I said I can't I can't it can't be the will of god but I knew something was crying and god eventually was just turning my world upside down everything you can't believe what is happening I stand there it was like the whole world was being turned upside down for god to get me to to say yes I go in the end I walked out with my friends one night and my car was gone my friends were standing there oh god I didn't know I've got my friends I don't know what they said oh god now I've taken my car they all just looked at me speaking to god I knew this god god doesn't play the fool with you you go Jonah oh you're in trouble if you don't let me tell you the will of god you're in trouble until you go Jonah no I got in my face that night he said I'm going lord I'm going don't do anything more to me I go so I go to my work and uh I tell my the boss we called him the manager and he had come to god I'd let him the lord actually the owner of the firm and many of them had come to god and I said I'm going to serve god well they tried to stop me they said keep don't you've got something of a future this fella said we'll we'll give you keep I want you I'll get you to the top yet I said I can't don't try and stop me so he was very agitated he didn't want me to go so he said I know you've got no money I know you had to borrow there's something against your principles but to keep that car when it all started this rust business and now your car's gone I know you've got no money to go through bible free all your funds are gone now I had bought that car with the money that should have gone to pay for my bible policies that's a terrible thing to do as I was arguing with god now god takes the car away after I just spent a fortune to get it all de-rusted but once and for all no rust could get in this car with all this humidity and sea air there now a week later the car's gone how are you going to get through and I thought to myself I don't know I've got no money but I dare not say no to god I said to him sir don't try and stop me I fear for you when I think of what god's done for me to say yes and to go if you'll try and stop me I fear what god will do to you so he stopped fighting I went home and I said lord by the by the big forms came you know to fill in for bible college how many times have you read through the bible and I said how am I going to fill in any of these questions so I thought I better start reading through the make sure I get through at least they have one I said I can't fill in the forms it's going to take too long to read through the bible like that how many times how are you going to get through college I just wrote there financially god will provide that's all I said I trust god god will provide so I go to bible school and by the by on my knees that night I said lord how am I going to get through bible school this is going to cost a lot of money for my personal needs for the fees and right where I was reading I opened my eyes and I read these words take no thought take no thought for your life what you shall live oh behold the fowls of the air they sow not neither in the reap nor gather in the barns yet your heavenly father feedeth them are you not much better than they which of you by taking thought can add cubit one cubit unto his chasten why take you thought for raiment consider that a little the field how they grow they toil not neither do they spin and yet I say unto you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these wherefore have god so clothed the grass of the field which today is and tomorrow is cast into the oven shall he not much more clothed you oh ye of little faith therefore take no thought saying what shall we eat or what shall we drink whoever also be clothed for after all these things of the Gentiles speak for your heavenly father knoweth that you have but take ye first the kingdom of god and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you take therefore no thought for the morrow the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself the prison under the day is the evil thereof just learn to pray give us this day our daily prayer that's all I want from you Keith well I looked at these verses and I said god I believe thee I went to bible school now I don't know if you've ever been in a situation where you have no money and nobody knows nobody knew I had no money at all but god I think my boss back there perhaps did but he's now waiting to see well have you ever tried to squeeze a toothpaste tube when there's no toothpaste in it and I had no money for toothpaste and I was squeezing in days but you can get out have you ever tried when you need dry cleaning and you know you need it you haven't got money you need a haircut and you don't have long hair and that this even would be unexpected unacceptable this is by a mistake by the bible because I somehow can't find a barber but uh I had a haircut I had no money I had no money for fees all the other students paid their fees I haven't paid my fees and the other riding the chin I was acting so the students decided to all go up the mountain on a Saturday and I was there alone in the college I got on my knees and I began to weep and I said Lord I didn't want to go with them I don't need to be with thee I'm desperate God I opened up and I turned there to Matthew 6 and I pointed to the verse where God said to me take no thought and I pointed I was weeping and I said Lord I believe thee now prove thyself faithful to me prove thyself faithful to me knock as I said that I opened the door and there was this tall fellow six and eight Darby Cochran I said Darby I thought I was alone in the whole bible school I thought everybody's gone up the mountain on Saturday off and I thought I was alone too and he's weeping and he keeps God's and spoke to me his room's right down there God never spoken like that to me I don't know if I don't know if something's wrong with me and he's weeping God said to me bring this money to you he said all my fees are paid for by the church that I come from everything's covered but I kept all tithing all the money that came in and I've been not knowing what to do with tithing like that so I've just been keeping and suddenly God said to me I want you to take all this money and give it to Keith Daniel I said well let's go down I said I didn't know anyone here I didn't even know you were here he says do you need this money I said yes I took it and he went I got on my knees looked at the verse again and said Lord I'll never doubt thee again I'll never doubt thee again oh God is good you know I arrived back home one day and Jenny said to me when I came back with the young missionaries we've been out for a long time I arrived weary and she says we're in trouble I said why did we need two thousand rands now that's a lot of money those days the rand was worth a lot more it's about two thousand dollars those days so she said if we don't God's name is gonna be hurt people know we're a missionary society that we live for God we'll be cut off with electricity all sorts of things we've got one we don't get this money now we'll be in trouble by tomorrow there's a terrible troubles this is a really terrible predicament we need it and I said oh Jenny what good news to come home to I was weary so we got on our knees all of us and we prayed Lord help us help us there's two thousand rands and he says we need we've got to have and I was the only one we can look to no one else knows then I said let me go for a walk before the sun goes down I mean sitting in this car all these hours just forgive me I'm going in the cool of the evening for a walk so I walked for a few well about a mile away from the home I was walking in the cool of the evening and a car pulls up next to me and this man looks at me and says are you Keith Daniel I said yes who are you he said sir God told me I'd find you right here and God told me to give this to you and he drove off and I ran back and I didn't quite look what's in there I ran back to Jenny and I called the young missionary workers I'm supposed to be looking after we opened up and it's exactly two thousand rand the wonder of God's love my children in the school of prayer also you know we were there one night I'd come back and Noel was a bit younger and Jenny says we need 1500 rand keep me in trouble oh my so the telephone rang and then he had to go on to the phone so we had to finish our prayers our family prayers I said to Noel my eldest son Noel you pray you pray for all that we've been mentioning what we must pray for he said Lord mommy said we need 1500 rand Lord no one else in the world knows we need it we have to have it now Lord I can send someone to our door now God heard a young boy who'd been brought up in a missionary home crying and God had to teach that boy right then pray boy and I'll honor your prayer for your father and mother send someone to our door the next morning Noel fell sick couldn't go to school nobody could stay with him everybody had to go and so God made sure he's alone in the house because he prayed the prayer mommy comes home and Noel says mommy a man came right to the door knocked on the door just like I prayed and said God told me to bring this to your home he said mommy I opened the envelope it's exactly what I asked God for now God has told Noel it wasn't just one account it was neither was a lot of things only God was a divine calculator no one else knew Jenny knew but no one else in the world knew exactly what we exactly we needed the wonder of God's love the wonder of God's love I came home once and my boy said to me daddy there's a mall now I don't know if you people love malls but in South Africa they're the worst things in the world don't go near a mall I tell you now Noel and Roy said daddy it's Saturday we don't have school there's a little moat in the mall this massive building that Samuel can get on a little boat a little rubber dinghy and go around and Roy likes that too while you people have a little cup of tea and we can just go to so I must we I do well I haven't been with them so we went to this mall I hate crowds you know especially in the mall there's a horrible thing you've got to go there to buy sometimes in our country anyway so we go to this new mall and there were thousands of cars and I said well this is a good reason not to go so I said look there's no parking go home no daddy it must be one car will come out soon let us drive so I said oh suddenly a car pulls out but you must know in the car driving there Jenny turned to me and said Keith we've got no money and we've got no meat in the house so I looked at her and I said to my heart oh lord Jenny's has failed me that she said that in front of the children I don't want the children to ever say being in a missionary home mean you don't have meat in the house and he shouldn't have said that in front of the children so my heart was quiet before I said lord I have to do something to rectify this and so now we're at the mall we suddenly find no parking and suddenly this car pulls out we pull in and as we pull in this man jumps out of the car next to us and he's crying and he looks at the window and he says are you Keith Daniel I said yes he says this is America I've just been sitting in my car we came from out the way to this mall because they're selling meat at such a cheap price we came all the way to get this cost price meat I've just got meat for my family and I'm sitting here with my car we're about to pull out and suddenly God spoke to me and I turned to my wife and said God's speaking to me and my wife said what do you mean you know God said I want you to get meat for Keith Daniel and my wife said but where do you think you're going to find Keith Daniel and Keith Daniel pulls up next to me he said do you need meat I said this way that I got my boys that I got you this and tell my boys what you what God told you they need to know oh God is good God is good he is so perfect in his dealings with us it's unbelievable I could go on and on and on and on as the minister who said to me Keith I'm in trouble I'm going to court and they're going to jail me not to sin I made mistakes somehow and I'm in terrible trouble I have to find so much money oh I won't tell you how much it was staggering no wonder they were going to jail him what am I going to do I said I'm going to fast so I started fasting I didn't eat for a few days just crying to God while I was in that town preaching in the night was crying to God for this man in whose home I was who now knew he had to go to jail and while I was on my knees one day he knocked at the door and he came in he said Keith you can stop fasting I went to town as I was walking down the street a man walked up to me and said you are and he gave his name Domini it's a reverend in our country's language and the man said yes he said God told me I would find you right here in the street right here at the spot I've been waiting for you God said to me to give you this every cent I need I don't have to go to jail I can go to court tomorrow with all the money that's God he has not because he asked not and there's something I've learned about prayer God doesn't always answer immediately in certain things with material things he can do immediately but when it comes to dealing with soul he's dealing with a free will and he can't just press a button because I say save my son can't say boom you're saved you know because your daddy's praying no he has a free will God wants love love is not force or manipulated or switched on oh God draws chords of love to bring us true to salvation but we have a free will and now you're praying for souls is a different thing sometimes you have to wait but don't stop praying don't think God isn't turning the whole world upside down while you're praying but he won't force a man to be safe he wants love that says I choose this not the devil but oh when you pray but God doesn't always answer then his granny prayed for 40 years for her husband who was godless and many other things that smashed her but she wouldn't leave him I think you need that message today cried out across the church of the world 40 years later he's still not safe still coming or doing the things you can't believe she stayed with him then he came to God 40 years later when I met him he sobbed when I said how did you get saved sir his name was Noel I named my son after him his great-grandfather he was such a man of God how did you get saved sir he began to weep oh my Francie my beloved Francie wept for 40 years while I was unfaithful while I did things he wouldn't leave me he wouldn't give up on me corner topples and all the bread goes right up to the door of the orphanage that mistake no how can God say no to such a man oh he opens the door the man says oh well you may as well take all the bread we can't sell this here's our food wonderful what a man of God I could go on hours about Muller's prayers but I want to tell you about the prayers that weren't answered when he prayed for Saul and why and what happened when he died they picked up this godly man that has taken the whole world through his faith and they found in his bible just after his death a whole list of names names and names and names and names next to some of the names there was a tick and a date many of the names had no tick no date so they made inquiries they found every single one ticked in the date was the date that person had been saved praying for unsafe people as they got safe he kicked he put the date they would say god comes now let's concentrate on those that are not safe so he dies and many many all over the list were not saved no date and he's dead his prayers not three years later people requested to look at George Milgrove's bible so they allowed him and they found these lists and what are torn land of the devils destroying send a revival that will send the people back to god oh he's grown 86 years old right through the night he said keith i couldn't believe that this man at 86 was on his face while i was sleeping while my country was being destroyed and i'm a young man i've tried to get back to bed an hour or two later i got up again looked out the light i said i couldn't be still praying i went out there two hours later weeping crying to god in his face groaning for my country so i went back again in the end i couldn't sleep i got on my face and started groaning this man is night after night for the last week crying 86 years of age and his prayers were not answered for revival in south africa and he died his prayers were not answered by god not yet not yet but do you know why so many christians in south africa believe revival is coming because they know that man prayed for it and that man god answered his prayers even if that particular prayer is still coming so mental you're full of mental hoax trying to work yourself with this religion you get right with god you get dedicated you get absolutely surrendered to god and god takes hold of men and women who are absolutely surrendered even their prayers not only those in the pulpit need to do that those the means by which god comes for revival across the land are those who are so dedicated to god that the holy spirit can say something that he can't say with you now you have not because you ask now tell me how many of you has god got so hold of that revival could come to you when that fallen you two old ladies not duncan campbell there would never have been a duncan campbell if there didn't mean two prayer warriors that wept and groaned until god came there would never have been a charles finney you'll ever find to god in the earth is a man who's groaning for the whole world for god loved the whole world when he gave jesus those that can't see past themselves they're so far from god it's unbelievable how far are you from god are you groaning for your nation not you're working yourself up but you're so in touch with god that you have a burden you have something of the weeping of god going on in you i want those of you sitting here today i want those of you at this point of your life who are not pray warriors who want to be the instruments of revival maybe not the duncan campbell maybe not the charles but the ones by which god can come and teach to pray that god who knows we cannot pray we don't know how to pray for what we ought to but the spirit itself make it in the session to us with groanings which cannot be uttered we can't work ourselves to it but god can take us without losing our mentality without getting up in emotion all the time with absolute walk with god we can begin to groan not our own groanings not our own compassion not our own vision god working through praying for others who endanger praying oh god working through us praying for a nation that's in danger beloved i want every single person sitting here today that knows that god has not got them as an instrument of revival i don't believe that every one of you are going to start groaning like that you don't have to sit and think god didn't answer your prayer but i believe god's going to make you pray warriors i call you to a life of prayer from this day forth a life of prayer that you have not because you've asked not even if it's for your whole nation even if it's for the financials that you sit in fear of the health that you will not believe god could heal whatever it is that you are not prayer worries you don't pray because you're not right with god as you ought to be i want every one of you that really are willing to count this cost to throw it aside them all the pride of admitting lord it's me i need thee to take me and to take me to pray to me god and that i don't know anything about i just pray for myself and i don't even see my prayers mostly answered i want those of you who want to be honest and say god let me be the instrument of revival by taking control of my life god by the spirit of god i absolutely surrender to thee and i long for thee to take what i dedicate and consecrate that thou canst groan through me that thou canst have the burden through me lord i can't work myself up but i want to know the mind of christ in my prayers take me as i absolutely surrender my life to be the instrument of revival in my circle in this circle of life god has given me as far as those take my vision from where i'm at right now i want those of you who desperately need to say that to god sincerely i want you to stand and those that stand i am going to pray for one prayer but i'm going to ask you only once those that stand now and say god it's me i need thee to take me and pray through me god and now does not do it yet all that is standing will you pray aloud with me please will you pray aloud with me from your heart god does not look at the words that proceed out of the mouth god look at the heart from whence they come and if you pray from your heart as best as you can that's all god's watching even though it's the words i'm trying to get you to say if god seizes it from your heart oh that's the way he's looking every one of you standing will you pray aloud please my father and my god forgive me that while this nation has been destroyed by the devil i have not prayed as i ought to and i ask thee that from this day thou would make me an instrument of revival on my knees for if i'm not on my knees nothing i do matters for god make me a prayer warrior someone who asks in faith that god can come and meet the need that i see even if it's for my whole land pray through me god teach me to pray share thy burden with me that i may see souls as thou to see them that i may groan for my nation as god is groaning trust me with thy burden that i may begin now to pray led by the holy ghost bring this land back to god stop the
