The message tonight is Revival God's Way. Before I share that message, I would like to just give you a brief glimpse of what God has done in my life. In 2004, I was divorced. I was living in deep, deep sin. I had run a major company and I had also taught at the University of Toronto. But there was no joy, there was no light in my life. I was living in deep, deep sin and I was on my way to hell. And on a Saturday morning at 7am, I awoke and all of a sudden I was in a vision. And in the vision, I was in an open grave. The grave was neatly cut out. I was lying inside the grave. There was a tree above the grave. The leaves were rustling. There was a late afternoon sun and a cold wind. And I said, what am I doing in this grave? I must get out. I don't want to be in this grave. And then when I looked at myself, I was lying on my back at the bottom of the grave. And when I looked at myself, I was bound by my sins. From my toes all the way up to my neck in great coils of sin. And I could not move. I could hardly breathe. The sins were so heavy on me. And so I cried out for help. I knew I could not help myself. And I cried help, but I couldn't cry out too loudly. I could just say, help, help, someone help me, someone help me. And I cried out for hours and no one came. And then I had been to church and I knew that the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, was the way to peace with God where we could appeal to the Son of God to make us right with the Father and to forgive us our sins. And so I changed my call from help. And I now said, Father, if there is any mercy left for a sinner such as myself, would you save me? Would you have mercy on me? But no one came. I called for the Son of God. I called for Jesus. And no one seemed to be on the way. And then I looked at myself and the sides of my body were starting to turn into dust. Some pieces of flesh falling off. And there were worms coming from the side of the earth feeding on me. And that moment I realized that I would be going to hell forever and ever and ever unless God had mercy on me. And so, beloved, I continued calling for help. And then eventually, it seemed like hours later, a person appeared at the bottom of the grave. He reached into the grave. He put his hand around my neck. He helped me to sit up. And all of my sins just jumped off my body as if they were threads. That moment I woke up. I had fallen out of bed. I was next to my bed. And I believe it was Christ, the Son of God, who came to save me. And I knelt next to my bed. And I'm just going to, well, maybe I cannot move this mic, but I just knelt. And I said, Lord Jesus, forgive me. Forgive me for all of my sins. Forgive me. I know you died on the cross for me. Make me right with your Father. Come into my life. Use this man for your purposes and for your glory. I gave my life to you if you wanted. I know I'm unworthy. Please forgive me. Please come into my life. Please save me from the evils. In Jesus' name, amen. And you know when I got up, when I got up, when I got up, heaven came down and glory filled my soul. Then at the cross, the Savior made me whole. My sins were all forgiven. And now I am on my way to heaven. Praise God. And for anyone watching on the Internet or perhaps someone who is here tonight, that is my greatest desire for you, that you might find that great, great Son of God through your drawing nigh to him, coming close to him and saying, Jesus, I need you. I need a new life. I need a new start. And you can do that later on tonight as the Holy Spirit will help you. Now, the message is Revival God's Way tonight. And I have had the privilege of being in many revival services down south. And there was a lot of stomping, a lot of clapping, a lot of waving hands. There was a lot of shouting glory, glory. And at times there were many slaying of the Spirit. And people would say, oh, what a great service. What excitement. What a show. What an incredible speech. And then they would go away. And we would go away. And nothing has changed. The next day would be the same day as before going back to sin, dwelling on those things that God hates. What change was there tonight? You see, that was Revival Man's Way. It was not Revival God's Way. And so tonight we pray that God would come in His holiness, that His presence would change us, that there would be no more backsliding, that there would be broken hearts and tears. When tears stopped at the Azusa Street Revival, the revival stopped. You see, we need broken hearts before God for Him to be able to come and change us and do the things that will give glory to Him. Now, we are currently in the midst of a famine in our land. It is a famine. And so perhaps if you would come with me, let us go together to the heavenly, holy, holy of holiest where God is. Let us go together and speak to God and say to Him what is happening in our country to see what His response would be. And perhaps our words would be like that. Father, we come to You in Jesus' name. Our country is in great trouble. Our nation is in trouble. Our cities are in trouble. The name of Jesus is no longer wanted. It is being rejected. Your name often is being cursed. We follow humanism and we justify evil. We abort our children. We kill them, Father. We demand entertainment. We demand possessions. We demand money. We demand for ourselves to be pleased, to have pleasure, to be our own kings. And we allow sin into the church. Some of the things You have clearly identified as sin, we have accepted. And we have rationalized against Your will, Father. Would You forgive us? And then, Father, You said in Romans chapter 1 that if we would not turn from evil, You would give us over to the base minds. And beloved, we see now the base minds to the very highest level of governments. We see where evil minds are now at work turning good into evil. And evil is becoming good. And so, Father, what are we to do? Evil is coming in like a flood. We see animals dying, as You said, what happened in the book of Hosea. We see bees dying. We see fish dying. We know that sooner or later that there won't be enough food. And the world's ecology is turning. Father, we see locusts of evil coming and demons and devils. To devour our land. What are we to do, Heavenly Father? And then the Heavenly Father will answer, I love You, but when I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among My people, then act as I told you in 2 Chronicles chapter 7, verse 14. If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and I will forgive sin and heal their land. And so, beloved, there are four conditions in this verse. Four conditions. God said, be humble, pray. Be humble, pray, seek God's face and turn from wicked ways. Then the Lord said, I will fulfill My promises. I will hear, I will forgive, and I will heal your land. It's up to you. This is a conditional promise. It's up to you and to me. It isn't just shouting, Father, come down. But He gave us in His Word that we have to do something. And that is to be humble, to pray, to seek His face. And the fourth part is to turn from wicked ways. So can God lie? Well, in Titus chapter 1, verse 2, it says, in the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time. And so we know that the Lord cannot lie. He will fulfill His promises if we do our part. So the first condition is humbling ourselves. Humbling ourselves. And in Luke chapter 18, verses 9 to 14, Luke chapter 18, verses 9 to 14, we have the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector. And Jesus told the parable about the self-righteous person. He said, two men were up in the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank you. I'm not like the other men. I'm better. Dear extortioners, I'm just adulterous. For even as this tax collector, I fast twice a week, I give tithe of all that I possess. And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, God, be merciful. Be merciful to me, a sinner. Is our hearts beset by pride? Do we justify our own lives in self-righteousness?
