Joining his father’s ministry in 1954, he led Laymen’s Evangelical Fellowship from 1963, headquartered in Chennai, growing it to hundreds of centers across India, Cyprus, Guyana, and London. Married to Lily, they had three children, including John, who succeeded him. His annual retreats at Beulah Gardens drew 7,000-9,000, emphasizing prayer and holiness. I'll close on top of you. Now look at the state of the world. India producing more movies and real salacious stuff. Dirty stuff. Then Hollywood. And I noticed some young men in Europe. One student told me, Oh, I love those actresses. They're so beautiful. So dirty inside. But outside, apparently very attractive. Now that is the world. So, when the waters rise above us, do we cry, save me Lord? Do we see that we are sinking? Or is our trust in those waters wherein we drown? The spirit of Egypt shall fade. Does the spirit of Egypt come into you? You know, here in Beulah Gardens, we have our Bible college and we try to train a few people, teach them faith. No, it's not at all easy to teach people faith. All their relatives say, Hey, you've been there four years, five years. What are you doing? You've been there for five years. What have you been doing? What degrees are you getting? Have you found any sponsors? You know, my friends, sponsors, earthly sponsors, we never had. We've never had any sponsors. But, people are looking for sponsors. Let me tell you, the committee under which we work is a committee that can never fail. Father, Son and Holy Ghost. I have worked 65 years under that committee. The resources of that committee are unlimited. And the checks that the committee gives me are open checks. My dear people, you have put your trust in a wrong spirit. You know, how many people are giving prophecies these days? One young man wrote to me. Here, one lady prophesied or said, You're going to marry that girl. Here, one lady prophesied or said, You're going to marry that girl. You know what my reply to such people is? Never believe the guidance or prophecy of a woman who speaks about marriage. So, listen. Any here getting such prophecies, please, clip your mouth. That's the spirit of Egypt. It's not God's spirit. And you young men who love this, that and the other coming in, many big start-up salaries, flee from the spirit of Egypt. It will fail. So, you know our beloved brother, Poe was talking to us about the church, the whole church. Oh, my dear friends. What do I see? A paralyzed bride. What an unfit bride to be married to anybody. A small-minded bride. A bride that has little love for her bridegroom. Who wants such a bride? The spirit of Egypt vitiating the bride. Disfiguring her, deforming her. And the wedding day is coming. And the paralysis appears only to grow greater. And the paralysis appears only to grow greater. A stultifying bride. You know, I'm losing some height these days. I'm getting shorter. But, if a bride begins to get shorter and shorter, if you see a short bride,
