Therefore, follow through these messages in your Bible, in sequence, in order that you may be able to make a choice for the Word of God, rather than the traditions of men. This is tape number one in a series. We urge you to listen to all the tapes in the series in numerical order, so that the whole teaching can be received and understood. Listening to a part of this series, or to the tapes out of sequence, can lead to a misunderstanding of the nature, the intent, and the importance of the series. ...on a rock making her footsteps firm. He's put a new song in her mouth. Revelation said he's going to sing a new song, didn't he? It's going to be a song of praise for our God. Because we're more concerned about praising him and what he thinks, and his approval, than we are the approval of what anyone else thinks, just to be free in the Lord. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there's liberty. And there's liberty and freedom, and we've never seen praise. Brother John, like I believe that God's going to show us about praise. I don't think we've, just like everything else, that he wants to teach us and show us as we just draw near. So many, O Lord, my God, are the wonders that thou hast done, and our thoughts are toward us. There is none to compare with you. Our ears thus open up, and then we said, Behold, Lord, we come to thee. In the scroll of the book it is written of us. We delight to do thy will, O my God, because thy precious, precious, precious word is in our hearts. Isn't that wonderful? Praise Jesus. That's good, isn't it? Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. So, through this grace, and this love, and this divine appointment, and mercy of God, through Jesus Christ, through the cross, we've been born again into a living hope of the resurrection of Jesus. And our inheritance is incorruptible. It's undefiled. Faith is not a way. It's reserved in heaven for us. We're kept to the power of God through faith and through salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time. Now, right now, although we've never seen him, we love you, Lord. And although we don't see you right now, we trust you, and we believe you, and we rejoice with a joy unspeakable, full of glory, receiving the end of our faith, even the salvation of our soul, because we've been redeemed. Hallelujah. Praise Jesus. Boy, it's good. Is that good? Praise the name of Jesus. We've been redeemed with the precious blood of Jesus who without blemish, without spot, we've been born again, not a corruptible seed, but incorruptible seed by the Word of God that liveth and abideth forever. Jesus Christ is a cornerstone. He's a living stone. He's been rejected of men, but he's chosen a God and precious, and we are lively stones. We are living stones that make up a spiritual house. That's that temple. To offer up spiritual sacrifice is acceptable of God in Jesus Christ. We're a chosen generation, a royal priesthood. We're peculiar folks. To show forth praises unto the only one that deserves any praise, and that leads out all repetitions, discontinually praising repetition. Isn't that good, the word? You see, that's why you came here. I knew it'd excite you, because I know that's why you came here, to hear the word. And that's what I love so much about you. Let's just praise him, and just pray together with me. Let's pray about this meeting, and let's just honor the Lord, and you'll be free. And just close your eyes, and just shut out everything except the Lord Jesus Christ. And let's just pray and praise him, and just be thankful, and just adore him, and just love him. I just thank you, Lord, for your presence here now, in Jesus' name, Lord. In the name of Jesus, I just want to bless you, Lord. And I just thank you for each one here. I just thank you for the oneness that I sense here in Jesus. And, Lord, I want to pray for each person here right now, Lord, that that your grace and your spirit, Lord, we don't have anything that we can change anybody's life with, except to bring you, the life changer, the healer and the deliverer, and your word that's going to perform its work in them. And, Lord, we just trust in you to do this, because we believe we're obedient in our hearts. And, Lord, I just pray that you quicken this word to each person's heart. And, Lord, I just ask you over each one right now, in the name of Jesus, would come liberty and freedom right now. Folks, the Lord wants me to lead you in something. I'm on, I'm on, I'm on, I'm telling you something, folks. It's no, it's something we're going to talk about in this meeting right here. I want you to just lift up your head here just a minute. I've got to tell you something. Folks, when you judge, you're judged right then. You've got a problem right then. For the powers that are in us, the moment it comes out your mouth. When you condemn, condemnation's on you, right then. When you don't minister mercy, when you unmercify, it'll come out your mouth. You can always tell when somebody's not merciful. This situation's on you right then. So I believe, if we're coming here before God, that we ought to have these things right before Him before we start in the Word here. There's no use to giving them powers of darkness ground to ride in and interfere with confusion and all these other things, because something I need to confess to you right now. God's done a bunch, bunch to me since I saw you last time, and I'm not going to justify it, but there's some things that was wrong in my life when I was here the last time. Matter of fact, the last two times. The Lord had, ever since I've been a Christian, a young Christian, there had been, there'd been opposition and things that I didn't understand because I thought these people that represented the Lord, and not understanding about the powers of darkness, you know, it's always easier to see what's wrong with someone else than it is yourself, and I knew there was a hardness there. It wasn't there when I was a new Christian. It wasn't there. Because I just, I mean, I just, a tree of life, love just flowed from me, and if any of you need to sit down, just go ahead and do it. And I'm not going to take very long, but I'm just, I just need, what I need to repent right here in Oklahoma City. And so in this situation, I got where I didn't trust a lot of people. I can look back now, and I can see with reason, I'm not understanding some things, but now the word has become more clear to me, and about many things, and particularly because of the love and people that's walking with me, have taken so many things off of me that I was holding, I had on me in the flesh, and trying to work through. You see, when you find yourself in a bad place, you don't run from it. You just have to stand there and just look to God until he delivers you from it. So what happened to me? I, hostility, and I harbored some things in my heart. Because, see, anytime there's an anointing, and there's religious folks around, I don't care who it is. If there are religious people around, they're going to box up that anointing, and they're going to use it for whatever things, you know, and everything. And I was aware that, I was disappointed so many times because what I would think to be something very sincere, and then we'd get over in it a little while, and I would see it was a point to someone but that Jesus. And this was a very frustrating thing to me. I didn't understand when I moved to Texas, just some time back. I didn't even understand how the denomination that I was in operated. I didn't even understand how it functioned. Now, that's how smart I am, see. I didn't understand it. And so these things were coming against me, and see, these situations would lead me into situations where what would betray was in my heart. And I'd try to explain it, and they'd come back with persuasive stuff, you know, now, you know, shape up, you know, and sort of thing, and these kind of things. And so, see, I couldn't express, and it would betray what was in my heart. And God was, something, one thing's in my heart, and I was being told I had to go another way. And so in this thing, now I'm not justifying it, because I sinned. Because I built up anger, hostility, and I was critical, condemning, and when I took the precious word that God's grace let me have, I would come up here, and I'd stand up here kind of macho, you know, I was going to, I was going to make it work. Chunk. And I stood up, you know, kind of like my old steel rigger days, you know, back there, you know, if not one person be with me, I'm going to say what God says, and say, but see, folks, there's a problem with that. Jesus, mercy and grace, they don't miss. It's been on all of you, to some degree or another. But without love, see, and it's one thing I noticed, that in the very beginning, when I started these seminars and things like that, you know, I know, I know 90% or more about the scripture that I was sharing, you know, months ago, what God was doing more. Because simply, I hadn't built up all that hostility, you know what I'm saying? So see, folks, it's not your will or my will, it's God's will. It's going to work, and I'm going to tell you it's going to work. I'm going to tell you it's going to work, because I found out a secret. And I'm going to tell you what it is. Boy, I just let Jesus make it work. And I'm going to tell you something, if you repent, and it doesn't bother me one bit, because I'm zero coming in, and I'm standing before you zero. The only thing is Jesus. And I'll tell you something, His grace is all over this place right now, and I'm going to head and tell you something else. This is going to be one of the most exciting ten days you ever spent in your life. I'm going to tell you right now. And let me tell you something else, I'm one of the things that you ain't never heard of before this week. I mean, it's just good. Now, I want to ask you, will you forgive me? Will you forgive me? And Lord, There's no false humility about it. I ask you to forgive me and I ask the whole world to forgive me and I just turn in my heart and I'm truly truly sorry because I want to see people come to Jesus with all their hearts. Amen. The reason I come back here to Oklahoma City and I'll come back this soon and I planned it even while I was still here is because I saw the Lord doing such a work here but I know that you're gonna go through some things just like I've gone through some things and we're gonna learn something about overcoming and loving and helping one another. I think we're in a lot better place to help you in the lifetime we're here because we know a lot of things we didn't know last time. It's coming back. It's great and you know if we we honor God and acknowledge where this comes from ain't nobody has to have reputation in these kind of things it's just it's just God isn't it? If it's not God you might as well go home. Huh? Isn't that right? So ain't nothing anybody to boast out or manipulate about or anything else is there? And and so I I'm telling you what he's changed my heart. I'm telling you what now he's not through with it. I see enough in the word to see I'm not where I'm supposed to be yet but I want you know I'm going the light. Can you hear me from where you're sitting? I mean I'm headed for the light. I'm I'm repenting and I'm I boy I I'm telling you what I've just have so much grace of Jesus on me I can hardly stand it. I just might do one of those fits or something. I get when I get to thinking about the grace of God and how good he's been. You ought to have seen what God said to us last night. You just ought to heard it. I mean boy that's something when when when God say tell the whole bunch of you at one time now say you're going down the wrong fork and he moved over and this is good. That's what he said last night. I mean God said it. Said it to all of us. Now when when you hear from what God's saying. When you hear what God's saying folks it just you can do a whole lot of moving can't you? The thing is hearing God. Well can we finish praying? Get back up again. Now when I tell you something folks. Let me tell you something I know right here and I want to ask the Spirit of God to bear witness. Our conversations of slander and gossip and then nitpicking at things about people. Our conversations of slander conversations of unforgiveness criticism. God has given me a course folks. You've got hell on you with these kind of things going on right now in your life guys. Is that plain? I want to tell you something folks. You're wasting your time to walk around things like that. You think you're going to get anything from God? I want to tell you the powers of darkness are all over you and I'm going to tell you right now it's going to set you free here. I mean right now to begin with. If you just really be sorry in your heart right here tonight. I mean you'll change right there. You'll just you'll just things just going to flutter all off of you right here right now tonight. Now this this is a is this a good way to come in before God? Who shall ascend to the heel of the Lord? He that hath clean hands and a pure heart. Let's clean our hands and purify our hearts and then let spirit of God. We've we've heard enough men. Let's hear from God. Amen. And let's just get right before God. Now bow your heads again and close your eyes. Oh I just praise God. Praise Jesus. Alright now I want you to be praying. Now each one of you to pray before God about unforgiveness you may have toward anyone. Now God's not going to answer prayer one for you until you get this ready and so you can just keep from being hindered. This unforgiveness and choose with your will to love and forgive everyone that's ever hurt you or disappointed or whatever. Praise the name of Jesus. Praise God in Jesus name I pray a repentant. Godly repentance will come over each one of us right right now. Each one of us Lord in Jesus name. Praise Jesus. Alright now with that unforgiveness just ask him to forgive you that slander and criticism that went along. When you're unforgiven it comes out of your mouth. When it's in your heart it comes out your mouth. And the slander and criticism ask the Lord to forgive you for that. Praise you sweet Jesus. Criticism and slander. Be sorry you spoke his word because you know who put that in your mind to speak his word to get some of his powers of darkness. The powers of darkness put these things in your mind and then they get into your heart and then they come out your mouth. Alright the next thing is condemning others. Just deal with that condemnation and not showing mercy, kindness. Being harsh. Boy that was a way of life for me. Harshness. Oh dear God. Do not condemn you'll not be condemned. Pardon and you'll be pardoned. Be merciful and your father be merciful to you. Alright now here comes the big one folks. Judging others. Folks if you've got judgment you've placed on others you've placed oppression on them. You've sent the powers of darkness against them. Now the only way for that for them not to be able to light or for them to be in to be walking in love and blessing their enemies which I do right now. Just choose with your will to bless your enemies and ask the Lord to forgive you for judging others. It's so easy to judge others because the enemy puts your mind full of it if you're not taking thoughts captive. Judging others. Really repent in your heart. Don't just acknowledge these things in your mind. Really repent. Turn from it in your heart. It's not necessary. You've got all you can do to take care of your heart. You don't need. You're not the judge. God's the judge and the word's the judge. Isn't that right? I used to think I was the judge. And I like being free too much to do that anymore. Praise Jesus. I'm going to tell you a bunch that's going to come off of you. A lot of things are going to change right here. Just be praying. Judgment. Gossip. Gossip. Just always carrying gossip this, gossip that. Put that gossip in there because that's just words. And being unmerciful. Y'all ready to get that stuff off of you right now? I mean it's coming off. Just keep your head down. Keep your head down and your eyes closed and just close out everything except the Lord Jesus Christ right now. He's a healer delivered. Just close it all out now. Everything's closed out of your mind now except Jesus. Now you just have your focus on him. Now just follow me and let's just pray the Lord. Heavenly Father, we come before the throne of grace and we come to you with all of our hearts. And if we come with all of our hearts, there's no room for unforgiveness, slander, judgment, condemnation, gossip, being unmerciful, and anger. Now just put that anger and pride in there. Just ask the Lord to forgive you of those. And now in the name of Jesus, Lord, we come to cleanse our hands, purify our hearts, confess our sins, possess the Lamb, and to receive healing and deliverance. And right now in the name of Jesus, Lord, before your throne of grace, to receive help in time of need, I ask your forgiveness for the unforgiveness that I've had toward others, that I've harbored these things in my heart, that I've had resentment and bitterness, criticisms, slander, condemning, judging, gossiping, being angry, unmerciful, and walking in pride and selfishness, rebellion. And in Jesus' name, Lord, I choose with my will to love and forgive everyone who's ever hurt me or disappointed me. And Lord Jesus, right now I want to ask you, Father, to forgive me for seeking the approval of men. And when I seek the approval of men, I want to ask you, Lord, to forgive me for rejecting you. And I trust your grace and I trust your word and mercy right now to forgive me of all these sins. And right now in the name of Jesus, I receive forgiveness, I humble myself to receive grace, I choose with all my heart to walk in the fruit of the Spirit. And now in the name of Jesus, I lift up my hand and I ask you, Lord, to forgive me of all these sins. And right now in the name of Jesus, I receive forgiveness, I humble myself to receive grace, I choose with all my heart to walk in the fruit of the Spirit. And now in the name of Jesus, I lift up my hand and I ask you, Lord, to forgive me of all these sins. And right now in the name of Jesus, I receive forgiveness, I humble myself to receive grace, I choose with all my heart to walk in the fruit of the Spirit. And now in the name of Jesus, I lift up my hand and I ask you, Lord Jesus, I receive grace, forgiveness, the word, and the blood. And just say it, I have got it. And now in the name of Jesus, I'm releasing all these word curses, everyone I've spoken against, they're released now. And now in the name of Jesus, I don't want these works of darkness working in me anymore. I want them to go away. And right now in the name And right now in the name of Jesus, they're all sealed with the blood They're separated. They're exposed by the blood and There they go. They're released right now. There they go. There they go. Just lift up your hand praise the name of Jesus Hallelujah to the name of Jesus Praise the name of Praise the name of Jesus Hallelujah to the Lord hallelujah Bless the name of Jesus. Praise the Lord. We might as well get some more of them while we're at it, ain't we? Now, did you notice something coming off you like a cubby of quail or something? Do you see this lightness and everything? God doesn't like sin. When you judge, you're a judge right then. Folks, go open your mouth and watch what happens about your life there. See what happens when you go and condemn others and everything. I wish I'd known this a long time ago. And I tell you what, we're going to cover some of that in the Word. We might just do it tonight. Oh, this is good. Now, let's get to confusion. Lord Jesus, forgive us of the sins that's given ground to these mind-binding spirits, distraction, mind-wandering, and all this oppression and confusion that's come to our minds. Lord Jesus, we ask forgiveness. And write down the name of Jesus. From your throne, we have the mind of Christ. We lift up our hands. Lift up your hands. And in Jesus' name, Lord, we receive forgiveness. And now we release them. There they go. Just say they're gone. Just say they're gone. Write down Jesus' name. Praise the name of Jesus. Hallelujah to the name of Jesus. Bless the name of the Lord. Confusion's gone. All mind-binding spirits are gone. Praise the name of Jesus. Now, you know something? A lot of folks, they've got some guts. How's this to be in me? Isn't that all right? Praise Jesus. Get what you can hear. Amen? Now, listen. What about this spirit of harlotry? Did you think many people haven't got freedom yet? They're still living with that thing? Then let's just get rid of it. Just say, Lord Jesus, forgive me of my heart. Trusting men, traditions, theology, intellect, academic, and all other things. Any other things, rather. Besides totally trusting you, Lord Jesus. Now, Jesus is the head of every man. And now, in the name of Jesus, I renounce every cover that's not in the order of God. And I now renounce, and I no longer want, these religious curses that come on me by letting men, a church, denomination, or any of these things have my heart beside Jesus. I renounce all idols. And in the name of Jesus, I receive forgiveness, Lord. And I renounce all these religious curses. I lift up my hands to you, Lord Jesus. And I release all these religious curses right now. There they go. In Jesus' name, I renounce the spirit of harlotry. Let it go. The spirit of harlotry is gone in the name of Jesus. Praise the name of Jesus. Bless the name of Jesus. Praise Jesus. Folks, I'm going to tell you something. When you go back out, let me just tell you something. And you find your mouth doing the same old thing of slandering and gossiping, criticizing and things. Notice. Why don't you just feel your head up there right now, and feel a little lightness around it. The pressure, some of the pressure, you're not free totally, but some of the pressure is over you. And I want you to know when you... I want you to remember that touch that you give right there, and this freedom you have. And I want you to know when you go to slander and condemn and unforgiveness and don't walk in love, I want you to know it's gone. And you're walking in rebellion to God in your heart. And this is why we manipulate things and call it church. As we sit around and count each other and everything, it moves, and God's not doing nothing. Now, folks, I'm going to tell you something. I'm going to tell you something. We're going to learn so much more about grace and the love of Jesus in this time. You know, there may be some new things in the world, but this is going to be the main thing that we have to share with you. Walking, overcoming. We've got some things to say about overcoming, because we've been overcoming. We've got corn in our crib, so we can talk about corn, can't we? And so we're all going to learn from one another. This is going to give us the opportunity to fellowship with one another. What is God telling you? He just doesn't work through the man that comes to town. There's different ways. Let's all hear from one another and fellowship with one another. So, are you feeling free? Is that good? Do you want to walk in it? All right. Now, let's just pray and just thank the Lord for this, okay? Father, in Jesus' name, I just want to thank you for each one of us, Lord, for the grace and mercy that you have on us. Lord, I just want to thank you for liberty and freedom. I just want to thank you for your Word, and I just want to thank you that, Lord, we can just love you and receive this grace as you lead us in all truth. Now, Father, we ask for the anointing and the quickening of your Word. We receive the fruit of the Spirit, the weapons of our warfare. We receive the works of Calvary, Lord. And we just receive this total liberty and freedom right now because, Lord, this time we want to cleanse our hearts. We want to cleanse our hands and purify our hearts, Lord, that we would walk in a manner worthy of you to please you and bear fruit in all good works and continue to increase in the knowledge of your precious, precious Word. That's what we come to receive, Lord. And we just want to boast in you. And I just thank you for each one here. All the works of darkness, every word, curse, and spell is now on these people. All the words, it's been spoken on them right now. I break these word curses in Jesus' name. We choose to love our enemies. We release them right now in the name of Jesus. All the works of darkness is assigned in this meeting. It gets its meaning removed. We hold the Word, and the blood is a hedge. And now I speak your blessings, peace, grace, love, healing, and leverage here in Jesus' name. Folks, let me just, I tell you, just turn to Genesis with me. We'll start there, and then we'll go over to Revelation. Can we start in Genesis? Okay. Now, most of you, the things that I share, I'm just going to review some things, because I want to tell you what. You cannot receive what's coming up unless you understand what the basic message of it is. And this is something that's always kind of a lot of people. Just look at me just a second. This is why a lot of people haven't understood what we've gone through in this theme, because I'm so glad that most all of you have heard the basic message, because, see, you just go through it, you go through it, and there's no way, there's no way that you can go on to other things if people have not got that part. Now, if you have half of the congregation or something like that that's never even heard, you just blow them away. They don't even know where you're going or what you're saying. You understand what I mean? And so this is, and I'm going to tell you something. Every time we go through it, I see it clearer. And this is what I hear other people saying, and we're not going to do too much of it, but I want you to remember something. Even the basics of this thing are just changing tremendously all the time. So you don't let your mouth say, I already know, you know, and I already know, and I already know because the same scriptures I'm seeing over and over all the time are just changing tremendously these days. The problem is that when we think we know, when you get where you know, you don't know what you ought to know. You know it? Okay. Now, we started out, we just want to just deal with this thin, cursed nature. There's just a few people here that haven't even, haven't been here before, and this is going to refresh your mind, that if you don't understand what the sin nature is, you can't understand what repentance is. And if you don't understand what repentance is, tell me how you can know Jesus. Just tell me how you can know Jesus. That would just be impossible. It's a form of godliness to think you know Jesus when you don't understand the sin nature and you don't understand repentance. I mean, if you don't have a repentant heart, really. All right, now, in the beginning, Adam was created, and God has never created anything that attests to hearts. Now, he made Adam in his image and likeness, which we know in verse 1, I mean chapter 1, Genesis 1, 26. God said, Let us make man in our image and our likeness. Now, let me explain that image and likeness, what it was. This Adam walked and talked like God. He walked and talked like God. But in other words, this man is holy and blameless. Adam is holy and blameless. Now, that's important that you remember that because that's what you're told to be. Is that right? He had, in other words, what he had is a pure heart. He didn't have his heart going after, I mean, Jesus. I mean, well, the Father had all his heart, amen? The Father had all his heart. Now, that's what holy and blameless is. Nothing else has your heart except the Lord, amen? Now, we see him. They were in chapter 2. He tells him about the two different trees here. Out of the ground, the Lord God calls to grow every tree that is pleasing to the sight and good for food, the tree of life, also in the midst of the garden, and also the tree of knowledge and good and evil. Now, what is that tree of knowledge and good and evil? You know that's the tree of death. Now, folks, it's still around today. You, too, have a choice. You know that he's going to go eat off the, well, Eve is going to eat off the tree, and she gives it to him. But this is something you encounter every day. The tree of life and the tree of death, as we'll see. All right, now we know the river flowed from Eden to water the garden. Now, let's look at verse 15. Then the Lord God took the man, he put him in the garden of Eden to cultivate and keep it. And 16, the Lord God commanded the man, saying, from any tree of the garden you may eat freely, but from this tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat from it. And the day that you eat from it, what do you think is going to happen to him? He didn't say you might die, or perhaps you could die. He didn't say lest you die. You know what you're looking at? The gospel right there. He says, you shall surely die. Folks, please don't forget that. When God says something a certain way, it's the enemy. Through traditions and many things like that, it won't bring a contradiction to what God says. The enemy brings the opposite. Everything that God said, he brings the opposite in your heart, and your will gets to choose between them. But he said, don't eat off this tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Well, does everyone here know that the powers of darkness, that Satan led Eve to eat off of this tree? He led her to eat off this tree. What's on this tree? The lust of flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the boast of pride and love. What is the lust of flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the boast of pride and love? That's all rebellion to God. Every rebellion there is to God is within the realm of the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the boast of pride and love. What other task would Satan have but rebellion to God? So how is he going to do it? He's going to come and tempt. He will come and entice, as we see over in chapter 3. Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the beasts of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, and here opens the mouth of Satan, hath God really said? And so then he perverts the word of God. He said, you do not eat from any tree of the garden. God didn't say that. He's always perverting God. I mean, the powers of darkness perverting the word of God today. And the woman, well, let's just look and see in verse 3. He said, from, this is Satan, from the fruit, this is Eve saying, from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said you shall not eat from it or touch it lest you die. God didn't say lest you die. He said you would surely die. Now I want you to look at me here just a second. She's having an encounter with Satan. And Satan is going to test, her heart is being tested to whether the Lord has all her heart or whether not. And so Satan is leading her to this tree of death. And he says something totally opposite of what God said. Now here's your first doctrine of demons. Would you think doctrines of demons would be a doctrine opposite of what God's gospel was? Well, another gospel, another doctrine, well, you're fixing to see it right here. Here's the first doctrine of Satan in the word right here in verse 4. And the serpent said to the woman, a direct contradiction to the word of God, the gospel, you surely shall not die. Now, you surely shall not die. You can go participate in rebellion in your heart. Now look at me, folks. It's okay for you to go over. You don't have to be holy and blameless. I know that Jesus is coming after a holy and blameless bride. That's the one he's going to come after that eagerly awaits him. But you surely shall not die. You can be in rebellion to God. You can walk in rebellion to God. You can have idols in your heart. You surely shall not die. And so we see in the verse there that the lust of flesh and lust of the eyes are both for pride and life. The woman saw that the tree was good for food. There's a lust of flesh and there's a delight to the eyes. There's a lust of the eyes and the tree was desirable to make one wise. And there's a pride of life. Sin and rebellion came on Eve. She gave to Adam and rebellion came into their heart. They were no longer innocent. They were no longer pure. As a matter of fact, they went to hide and they realized they were naked. Is that correct? Now, Adam was cursed. They were cursed because their heart chose rebellion to God. And so what happened is that all mankind received the nature of Satan. The world today has the nature of Satan. And in this nature of Satan is that people walk and talk like Satan. And they're fruit. Now, let me tell you something. I want you to understand something. See, it's with the heart that man believes unto righteousness and with the heart that man believes unto unrighteousness. Do you follow me? Fruit, whatever's in your heart, comes out your mouth. Now, let me ask you something. Can you tell when anger comes out of somebody's mouth? Sure. Can you tell when pride comes out of somebody's mouth? Well, Steve, these things are the things of Satan. You can tell when the fruit of God comes out of somebody's mouth. Well, let's just look at the world right here temporarily because, once again, we see... So, you received this nature of Satan when you were born into this world and your heart lives for this nature. And your heart loves it. It's the way of life. You think you're a pretty good fella. See, you don't know the gospel. You haven't looked in the mirror yet, see? And so, out of your mouth is coming... Where's that pride coming from? Your heart. So is Satan. Ego and rebellion is coming out of your mouth. So is Satan. Out of your mouth is coming selfishness and hate and anger. All of this is rebellion to God. And so is Satan. These are all the fruit and likeness and image... You're an image and likeness of Satan. You're bearing fruit for him. You walk and talk like him. This is before you ever know Jesus Christ. Temper, unforgiveness, jealousy, and gossip are coming out of your mouth. So is Satan. See, your heart's in agreement with Satan. Your heart's in agreement with this cursed nature. This is why when you receive Jesus, you have to put it to death. It's why you're suffering the flesh and cease from sin. And we know there's slander and strife and criticism and immorality, lying, all these things coming out of your mouth. Why? Because your heart loves them. That's where your heart is. And then you see the gospel. You're walking... This is the fruit that's coming out of your mouth. Then you see the gospel. You see... You see the light. You look in the mirror and see you're in rebellion to God. It's Satan's you master. The powers of darkness are leading you in this pride and all this rebellion. They're stirring up this cursed nature that's within you and leading you by it. You're angry here, hate here, envy here. You go over here. All they do is just put the dark in your mind and see you go to it because that's where your heart is. Are you hearing me? That's how the powers of darkness control the world with their hearts living unto unrighteousness. Amen? So then you come. You look in the mirror. You see that Satan is your master. And then you see that you have a hell waiting on you, that you're in rebellion to God. You choose at this time that you're going to change masters. See, Jesus says, See, he's gone through these same temptations right here that the first Adam went through. This is over in Luke 4. And I'm not going to go back through this, but the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes, he proved himself heart's peer and you're to follow in his footsteps, 1 Peter 2, to walk as he walked, overcome he come, overcame. And this way he'll lead you to the image and likeness. You'll be led in the image and likeness of Jesus. You'll be conformed to his image, and that's how you're reconciled back to God because this is the sanctification. Through sanctification, the purifying of your heart, he'll lead. But I'm getting ahead of myself here. Let's just say these things are coming out of your mouth because your heart is believing unto unrighteous because your heart's in agreement with Satan. And now you've changed masters from Satan. You've received Jesus Christ as your new master. You look at the Word and say, God, I repent. I change directions. Because what is that? I have a change of heart. And now I have a new master, and you are Lord Jesus. I break my covenant with Satan, and I put this to death, all the work of rebellion. Those who are the sons of God, Romans 8, 14, 13, if you're led by the Spirit of God, then you're a son of God. 14th verse. Verse 13, if you're led by the Spirit of God, you will put to death the deed of rebellion. Now, a form of Godliness and another doctrine that you surely shall not die, you can live with this rebellion, and so forth, which we have seen and we've looked through. But see, when you change direction, now I'm going to tell you something about coming to Jesus. You come with all your heart. Many people come to Jesus and think they receive Him as Lord, but they're just really trying to make Him one of their idols. And Jesus is not going to be one of your idols. Now, you read the last couple of chapters of Revelation or all over, and I'm going to tell you it's a form of godliness to think that you're going to have idols, and Jesus Christ is going to be one of them. You're lost. You've never really repented. Now, this doesn't mean... Now, let me just explain this. You're going to come to the Lord with all your heart. Now, I'm going to tell you something, that when you really repent and all your heart, peace is going to come on you. You know why peace will come on you? Because God puts a hedge around you. You know the Scripture? Walk along the hedges and compel them to come in. Get behind this page where the peace is. Now, that's the church. And when this peace comes around you, then you take... you walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, and what you no longer wore after is the flesh. You hear me? But your weapons are mighty in God, which are in people. You take up a shield of faith, just like Jesus did and Luke 4, to stop all the fiery darts. Why do you want to stop all the fiery darts for? Because Satan comes to put these fiery darts to you because he wants to put rebellion back in your heart. And if you don't stop it up here in your mind, where do you think it's headed for? If you don't stop unforgiveness up there, where do you think unforgiveness is going to go to? It's going to go right in your heart. And when unforgiveness goes in your heart, what's going to come out of your mouth? And then what? You're going to be spread in life or death. And then you'll become a tree of what? Amen. Do you know that everyone that's in Adam died? And all that's in Christ have life. So then what happens? You have a change of heart. You change direction. Now you've got a new master. His name is the Lord Jesus Christ, and you're led by the Spirit of God. And you're led by the Spirit of God. What does the Spirit of God lead you to do? Put to death the deeds of rebellion. Galatians 5, 16 says, if you're led by the Spirit of God, you will not, you will not, you will not, you will not, you will not carry out the desires of the flesh. Now it doesn't matter what the whole world is saying. Let God be true and every man be a liar. It says if you're led by the Spirit of God, you will not carry out the desires of the flesh. Now this is something we're learning. That's something they knew over in Acts. That's the reason they see a lot of things we haven't known. That's the reason they didn't care for anything in the world. That's the reason they took everything and throwed it at the apostles' feet because nothing in the world had their heart. Because their mind was set on heavenly things. Flesh loves this world and the things of the world. All right, now, you're led by the Spirit of God. What's the Spirit of God going to do? It's going to start spotlighting everything in your heart that doesn't look, that's opposite of Jesus. Every attitude and every sin, everything is there, and it's going to lead you to put it to death. So you suffer in the flesh, 1 Peter 4, 1 and 2, and you cease from sin, and you begin a process of purifying your heart. Now that's what sanctification is, separation. Amen? So, as we know later on in 2 Corinthians 5, that you're being reconciled to God. What is being reconciled to God? Look at me. You no longer live for yourself. You no longer live for yourself, but for Him who died for you. You live a life of love. See, the powers of darkness, all this pride, ego, jealousy, envy, hate, all this is all selfishness. And we give all this up. And we don't no longer live for selfishness and self-centeredness. Because what? That's when our heart was in agreement with Satan, our heart. But now our heart's in agreement with God, our heart's in agreement with Jesus, and now we become a tree of love, which is life. Proverbs 11.30 said, The fruit of righteousness is a tree of life. What is the fruit of righteousness? Walking right in God's eyes, being led by the Spirit of God. That's going to put to death all the deeds of rebellion and selfishness and self-centeredness. And what's going to come out of your mouth? Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, goodness, gentleness, meekness, temptation, faith. Against these things there's no law. What does it mean, no law? There's no judgment about these things because there's no rebellion there. And if there's no rebellion in your heart, see, you're no longer under the law. But, see, the problem is there are people today that say they're not under the law, but they practice rebellion to God and justify it. Now, see, that's a problem. Say, Jesus became a curse to me. How does Jesus become the curse for you when you're walking in a curse? Tell me. Now, that's not to say, folks, that you may not single sin in these things, but you're going to deal with it. You're going to come to light because I'm going to tell you something. We're supposed to walk in peace. Now, what is peace? Now, when you're dealing with these things in your life, I don't care. Seniority doesn't have anything to do with it. How much you know is the moment when you come to Jesus with all your heart and you repent, he's going to put peace around you. As long as you walk in it, peace is going to stay there. Now, you're going to find yourself without peace. And what's happening? You're being chastened. You're being chastened. Well, what's chastening? The powers of darkness are attacking you. Why are they attacking me? Because Jesus moved the hedge. Why did he move the hedge? Because you sinned in your mouth and your heart. And he's showing you. And so what do I have to do to get peace back? I just say, God, what did I do? And he's going to show you. And he'll tell you what you did. And when he shows you what you did, what you do is say, Lord, I'm sorry. That slander, I was involved in gossip a while ago. I was in that gossip. I wasn't in love. And I'm sorry, Lord. It's so subtle, folks. A telephone conversation will draw you in that quick. Words. That's what he said. After dealing with the powers of darkness in James 1, you better be quick to hear and slow to speak. Now, this is what the Lord is showing us about overcoming. And this is what we want to try to help you all with this week because it's working. And, folks, right here in your mouth, if you overcome the mouth, you'll overcome the rest of the body. Are you hearing me? If you don't overcome the mouth, you're a tormented person. You're miserable. I don't care if you, how much you're in the Word. I don't care how much you, what you do. You are tormented. You are a hurting, hurting person. And you're never going to know freedom. But when you start, when you start, I'm going to tell you something, folks. When you lose your peace, I didn't used to understand. There's a lot of things I still don't understand. See, I'm still learning, but I'm going to tell you something. I can relate a few things to you and set you free now, folks. There's a lot of these things I didn't know about overcoming and walking in it. But when these things come in your mouth and you haven't got peace, if you'll get before God, and you don't have to have, I mean, you just get before God, and you say, Lord, what did I do? Now, if you, if you, Lord, flipping what I, no, you really, and God, Jesus sent you, God, you know I want to please you. I want to please you with all my heart, Lord. And you know, and you might even say, I know I'm receiving condemnation. I've received a bunch of that, but there's some things I didn't understand, and I saw some things of word that I was teaching that's tearing me all to pieces, and I was under a lot. I got under condemnation last year like I never had anything under condemnation because I didn't know what to do about it. But, Lord, I know there's a lot more for me to go learn. But right now, I'm going to, I can only deal with what you have me to deal with, and I'm not receiving any condemnation over this because right now, I'm coming to all my heart. Now, Lord, I want you to show me what I did. You don't want to do it, just put it in your mind. He'll show you. When you're sincere, he's not going to let any devils mess with you folks. When you really mean business, he's not going to let the devil mess with you, can I tell you? But if you're just kind of, you know, operating from here, if you're operating from your heart, you're going to know. Then he's not talking about save, loss, save, loss, save, loss. You understand what I mean? What do you do? You're going to confess it, because why? John 3, we saw that if you, this is what a Christian is, a Christian will come to light. And I don't care what kind of title people want, I mean, if you hate the light, you love the deep, the darkness, and you won't get rid of it. As a matter of fact, we saw in Colossians 3, 5, that you can make idols of things of the flesh, and it's these things that the wrath of God is coming for. That what is practiced today by people is a way of life. This is why the wrath of God is coming. And so, when you deal with these things, the meeting you deal with, you'll be exactly back in peace. I saw this happen to my son, and he won't mind me mentioning it this week, you know, because I've had it happen to me. My son was in, and he's here, and it's just a beautiful thing to just watch him work in other people's lives, particularly someone that I love like I do my son, and just watch him come to the light. I saw him in rebellion, some things, and you know, he heard, and when he decided in his heart that he's wrong, you know what happens? His whole countenance changed. His whole countenance changed. Why? Because they got off of him. You know why they got off? Because Jesus got them off of him. They got them off of him because his heart, God saw something in his heart, and the judge, the judge got it off of him. Amen? And it wasn't any fancy words or any of this stuff right there. I mean, he'd just come up, and he'd say, my son's got so much peace, he's about to fall down now. He'll fall on you. Don't let him. He's about six foot two and a half. Four. Okay. Now, when you're walking in this rebellion in your heart, something you need to understand, folks. We're living in a time where the powers of darkness have not been opposed nor exposed by our ancestors, and they're not going to learn a lot learned about it. And we're learning some things. We don't know everything we know. We're not going to gather around it once again and start another denomination, are we? Another teaching, or I don't think you want me to be your king, do you? Okay. And so, what we're going to see is that Jesus has all the light, and we've got a lot to learn, haven't we? Something you need to understand is you cleanse and purify your heart until you've got more power that's going to come into your life, and the Lord's going to work for you, and you're going to learn and you're going to see things more. But, folks, I don't care how much knowledge of the Word you had if you're not dealing with this heart right here. There's not much that's going to happen to you. I'm going to tell you something, folks. I want to tell you a very... And I just want to talk to you about these things kind of to remind you of some things. I feel the Lord just kind of quickens some things about overcoming. Folks, I don't care how much a person knows. Now, you can take somebody and get him off a bar stool today, and he has a lot better chance of learning than some of us who have to unlearn so much, you know. And there's nothing about getting off a bar stool. I come off one myself. But, anyway, as long as you get off of it. But, anyway, as you come to the Lord with all your heart, I'm going to tell you what, and you're overcoming and you keep coming, you don't go backwards. Folks, now, I want to tell you something. I want you to notice something. I want you to listen to what I'm saying. The moment you let your faith go backwards instead of forwards, it torments on you. Now, when you start drifting and you start settling in and I've got it now, and I know so much more than they do and all these things, you've got some problems coming on you, honey. You really have. Now, this is how you endure to the end. This is the overcoming. You always overcome and you overcome, and it's all grace and it's all Jesus, and you just get in on it. But you have to choose with your will, and that is grace. I'm not talking about words. Now, I'm telling you what, people a lot of times want to confuse what I'm saying and call it works. And usually the people that want to call, see, I'm calling it obedience. And usually the people that call it salvation but works are the ones that's been teaching salvation by words. Are you hearing me? And there's a difference. There is obedience, folks. Now, if Jesus said, why do you call me Lord? Lord, not do what I say, and he's talking about these two different kinds of trees, a tree of life and a tree of death. If Jesus is Lord of your heart, let me listen to your mouth and I'll tell you if he's Lord. When I hear your mouth, that is what discernment is. Now, see, I can hear what comes out of people's mouth. I want you all to hear this because this is how you minister and help people and get them free, get them healed and all these things. When you hear, when you go to council with someone and you want to help someone or someone's hurting, whatever, you sit down and just let the Spirit of God, just relax. Get you a pad, get you a pencil and just relax. And you start saying, now, what has it been bothering you? What is it? What's been happening to you? Well, they'll begin telling you and everything and you'll hear, well, I've been doing this and I've been doing... You'll hear unforgiveness coming out of their mouth. You call yourself, this person did this to me and you hear anger? Just write them down. Just write them down and let them just keep talking. Just write them down and just keep talking. Don't stop and, you know, anything. Just wait. Just write them all down. Write them all down and you'll hear their mouth speaking. You know what? You're going to hear their mouth speaking.
