Welcome to the Lord's Challenge with Joshua Daniel. The Layman's Evangelical Fellowship International is a ministry reaching people from all walks of life since 1935. After a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ at the age of 16, Joshua Daniel has been declaring the marvelous deliverance from sin, which is freely given to all those who turn to the loving Savior. Wherever this message has gone out, broken relationships have been restored, sickness healed, ill-gotten money returned, and thieves turned into givers. We now invite you to watch and receive the invaluable blessing that God has for you. Now, there is a familiar passage with which we can begin. Jeremiah, 10th chapter, please. Hear ye the word which the Lord speaketh unto you, O house of Israel. Thus said the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen. Learn not the way of the heathen. As a matter of fact, if we keep learning the ways of the world, what are we going to have? We are not going to have the power of God. We are going to be a bunch of imitators. You know, that's an awful thing, imitators. Some people do not have that touch of God's fire. My dear friends, go to God and say, hey, thou living God, thou consuming fire, I want a touch of that fire. There's too much dross in me which needs to be consumed by that fire. You know, it should not be just some kind of intellectual feast, some kind of airy-fairy thing which you can't translate into action. So, my friends, I've worked on the reasoning. Somebody has to begin. It's the ones and the twos that make the sacrifices or do the hard work that's set the current flowing. And that is true. But when it comes to a greater number of people, what happens is you have some imitators. You know, they're not genuine. They don't have the touch of God's fire. They're just imitators. You know, they're freeloaders. Oh, that's fine, I'll jump abroad on board. That's all they are. But God's children are never imitators. There is something original in everyone whom God touches. And we have got to be very careful about these things. Some people want to mix the world, mix the world and the things of God. How is that possible? Learn not the way of the heathen. It's not possible. The things of God are so diametrically opposite. So, friends, you will find in Jeremiah chapter 7 and verse 13, For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith the Lord. They have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name to pollute it. Do you see, friends, first it becomes, Oh, this is also nice. This is some wonderful way by which I can make money and then I can give some to God and so on and so forth. And then after some time, all right, I don't have to be so careful about my conscience. See, other fellows are doing this and so and so is doing this. I too can do this. And soon what happens is your own spiritual life is watered down and you begin to do what the world does. You know, this is the way to get it done. This is the way which promises promotion. This is the way by which, you know, possessing becomes so important. Now tell me, what is more important? What I am or what I possess? What is more important? Some people never question, what am I? I have thoughts of love. God has given me an inward cleansing. So I hate that which is evil. What you are is incomparably greater than what you possess. Some people think that they can do great things by what they possess. What rubbish is that? That is the very opposite of Jesus Christ. Jesus had nothing. I wish I am like Jesus. That's all I care. That's all I want. I ask for nothing else. So my dear friends, what we see is, we bring these abominations into God's house. You know, it's only a matter of time. I begin to pollute the work of God myself. You see, because I bring my mind, my plans, my worldliness, and so soon I pollute others. I pollute the work of God. I pollute the house of God. We are talking so much about pollution these days, isn't it? But the Bible speaks of polluting. They have set their abominations in the house, which is called by my name to pollute it. What a horrible thing. Polluting the very work of God with thoughts that don't belong to Christ. You know, and so on it goes, my friends. If you turn to Numbers 35 and verse 33, But by the blood of him that shed it. You see, my dear friends, define not therefore the land which you shall inhabit, wherein I dwell. For I, the Lord, dwell among the children of Israel. You see, these are awesome matters. I, the Lord, dwell in the land. I, the Lord, dwell with you. Don't pollute it. Today, bloodshed has become such a common, ordinary thing. Go into a convenience store, and if the fellow does not give you all the cash, shoot him down. Or in any case, shoot him down. You know, the whole land, as a matter of fact. How many murders are going unreported, I don't know. I think it is anybody's guess. It has become so common. Because Jesus said, out of the heart proceeds murder. So murder comes from the heart. So you see people wanting to murder their own families, their wives, their children, their husbands. And God says, you're polluting the land with that blood. And it's a terrible thing. What is happening around us. Many years ago, when I was preaching in Washington, D.C. Now this was almost 45 years ago. Or even 50 years ago. A friend, a leader, told me, we've been trying to get Afghans here. Afghan students. To give them the word. And he mentioned one of those men. Who had turned to the Lord. And he said to me, the man has been killed. Here in this country. Now this was 50 years ago. You know, a religion that is born in blood. A religion that has been propagated through blood. It is not of God. God is love. And we see that this kind of pollution. Which is a very age old thing. Religious wars. The inquisition. You know. When anybody who thought differently. Was a candidate to be burnt. Thousands of people. Tens of thousands of people. Killed. In the name of religion. And that Christian religion. In Spain and in France. On Bartholomew's day. 10,000 people were slain. 30 years war. In Europe. Was essentially a religious war. Sad. Polluting the land with blood. Making murder a common matter. Making it impossible for God to live amongst us. You have polluted the land. With blood. My dear friends. While we are facing moves like this. And currents like this around us. You know we have got to be. A powerful current ourselves. You know not just namby pamby easy going. Oh no. You know. All the time. Imagining something is wrong with you. Or can go wrong with you. You know it's a horrible thing. No I am in the hands of God. God knows where I stand. God knows how feeble is my strength. God knows. What a wonderful thing it would be. If. You know at this time. When people are clamoring for food. In other parts of the world. And people have also begun to. Talk of food riots. Possibility of food riots. Over here. In the US. No. At such a time as this. To show forth. The sufficiency of Jesus. He is able to give you your next meal. What do we worship a God. Who can feed the first sparrow. And can't feed us. No. But. The system into which we have gotten today. Is a system of self destruction. You know you're giving. In serving. In loving. There is multiplication. But when you begin to fall short in these elements. Then you come into a. Situation of self destruction. So. Now can you imagine at such a time as this. That some churches should be closing. What do you mean. It is a time when churches should be overflowing. Is this the time you think. When churches should be closing. No it's not possible. There's something wrong here. My name is polluted amongst the heathen. Because of you. And I will sanctify my name says God. You know that's exactly what is happening around us. The name of Jesus. Is being slighted. And discarded. And you know we had better take it to heart. The prayer of the early church. That great things may be done in the name of your holy child Jesus. God answered that prayer. Zeal for his glory. And his great name. You know even if nothing moves us to pray. Nothing moves us to compassion. This one thing should move us. The name of Jesus being dragged. In our gutters or drains. Or cesspools. Let us pray. Lord God thou has said learn not the way of the heathen. And we see the pollution. The pollutions of uncleanness. The pollutions of all those things that. Once characterized the heathen. Their immorality. Their. Homosexuality. Those things that characterized. Those who did not know Jesus. Have come. Like a great avalanche. Over the nations today. At such a time. Oh my father. We can say. I can't with a pickaxe. Dislodge all the tons and tons. That this avalanche has brought down on us. But oh father teaches to know. That one man's obedience. Brought life. And salvation. One man's obedience. I pray and ask you Lord. That we may have that willing heart. To say I will be that man. One man's obedience. Draw near to us. In Jesus holy name. Amen. Way back on now. The blood that gives me strength. From day to day. It will never lose. Its power. It reaches to the highest. Mountain. It flows to the lowest. Valley. The blood that gives me strength. From day to day. It will never lose. Its power. It soothes my doubts. And calms my fears. And it dries all my tears. The blood that gives me strength. From day to day. It will never lose. Its power. It reaches to the highest. Mountain. It flows to the lowest. Valley. The blood that gives me strength. From day to day. It will never lose. It will never lose. Its power. It reaches to the highest. Mountain. It flows to the lowest. Valley. The blood that gives me strength. From day to day. It will never lose. This program is brought to you by the Layman's Evangelical Fellowship International, an interdenominational missionary and prayer group working for revival around the globe.
