======================================================================== YOU MUST HAVE THE BLOOD ON YOUR DOOR by Winkie Pratney ======================================================================== Summary: In order to be saved, one must have the blood of the Lamb applied to their life, and partial commitment is not enough. Duration: 2:24 Topics: "Personal Forgiveness", "True Obedience" Scripture References: Exodus 12:13, Matthew 7:21, Romans 6:1-2, Hebrews 10:26, James 1:22 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ DESCRIPTION ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This sermon delves into the concept of forgiveness through the sacrifice of Jesus as the Lamb of God, emphasizing the need for personal application of this sacrifice. It highlights the danger of being aware of Christ's sacrifice but failing to fully accept and apply it in one's life, leading to a self-centered religious commitment that falls short of true obedience. The hardest sin to guard against is identified as a partial commitment that misses the mark, hindering spiritual awakening. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ CONTENT ------------------------------------------------------------------------ If Jesus died for all, are all forgiven? If the Lamb of God satisfied the substitution for the required penalty of sin that you and I deserve, isn't it now okay? Put yourself in the place of a firstborn son in our Hebrew household. The Lamb is slain. The blood lies there in the basin. And you realize, this is my substitute. This little innocent represents my guilt and has died instead of me. All right? Question. Are you out of danger? No, you are not. You are even greater danger than you were before, because the blood has been spilled, but it is still in the basin. It is not on your door. You're in even greater danger than you were before, because if you don't do everything God has said, you're not only a sinner, but an aware and enlightened sinner, and under double and even greater condemnation. What is the hardest sin to be safe from? Is it sodomy or lesbianism? No. Is it drug addiction or bitterness or drunkenness? No. Is it violence or gluttony? No. Is it murder? No. The hardest sin to be safe from is a self-centered religious commitment, one that does something like what God wants you to do, without actually doing it, that goes halfway towards obedience, and then turns away short of the mark. And it doesn't matter whether you miss by an inch or two or a yard, when you try to jump the gap between two 60-story buildings, because a miss is as good as a mile. And one of the major things that is holding up spiritual awakening in this country is the partial commitment of those who claim to be Christ. They know the blood has been spilled. They know the lamb has died. God has time and care for all struggling young Christians, but you must have the blood on your door. ======================================================================== Video: https://sermonindex2.b-cdn.net/br0heHLiRhA.mp4 Source: https://sermonindex.net/speakers/winkie-pratney/you-must-have-the-blood-on-your-door/ ========================================================================
