CONTENT

There are quite a few lessons there and as I prepared to share with the
conference some of the things that really opened my understanding from
the early church fathers and the apostles, what we see there is the
culmination of history. What we see there is the church, the savior, the
father, the angels, everything is wrapped up right there. And I think
for me and for those of us who could probably take more time to look at
it, to understand that that cloud of witnesses is not just some very,
you know, smoky thing.

They're humans. They're people like you and like me. Those martyrs are
the ones that died because they would not turn back.

And as our brother even talked about, the theology of martyrdom is
absolutely the truth. The people around the throne are the ones, the
church, who have washed their garments in their own blood because they
would not turn back from their savior. They wouldn't turn back in
whatever silly thing was going on in their modern, for them, their day.

And just like we cannot turn back in our day. We have to do as we've
talked about during the conference. We have to do what God tells us to
do or we're wasting time.

What's the point? Why has the world not been reached with the gospel?
Because the church has not been obedient. We have to recognize that's
where we're all going to be, around the throne. That's so significant
that it changes every way, everything that we think.

To understand that's our destiny. You and I may be from different
traditions, but we're going to stand around the throne together. So how
can I encourage you? How can you encourage me on in our journeys
together in Christ? It's significant to know that we'll all be there.
