The fear of the Lord is not to be afraid of God, that He's not going to harm you. The fear of the Lord is the awe, the respect, the reverence and the love of God that motivates us to please Him and to honor Him. Proverbs talks about the fear of the Lord as the beginning of wisdom. It's the fountain of life. By the fear of the Lord, we depart from evil, we depart from sin. And I think a healthy, biblical fear of the Lord is essential. And if we are not, as individuals and as churches, living in the healthy, biblical fear of the Lord, then there's something fundamentally wrong in our relationship with Him. ======================================================================== Video: https://sermonindex2.b-cdn.net/Mzx6CQ2U0fA.mp4 Source: https://sermonindex.net/speakers/mamdouh-riad/how-can-believers-finish-well-in-their-walks-with-the-lord/ ========================================================================
