George Müller met up with Henry Craik, a Scotsman who was to become his
closest friend and it was this quiet, godly and learned man who taught
George Müller the need to wholly trust in, and be obedient to, the will
of God. After resigning from the Mission school to take up preaching
engagements, George Müller eventually accepted the Pastorate of a Church
in Teignmouth with an honorarium of £50 per annum. He felt that God
would provide all his needs and that he should be wholly dependent upon
Him. From that moment on, until his death in 1898, George Müller grew in
obedience and trust in God for everything.
