Drawing from Solomon's wisdom in Ecclesiastes, it explores the timeless nature of human struggles and desires, emphasizing how even the wisest can falter by seeking happiness in worldly pleasures like wine, despite having God's calling, wisdom, and glory in their lives. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ CONTENT ------------------------------------------------------------------------ You don't know, do you? He started to drink wine. Tell me this, why is wine such a big deal in the Pentecostal church today? Why are people fighting so hard to drink? You know, Solomon said in Ecclesiastes, he said, everything that happens has happened before. There's nothing new under the sun. And the wisest man in the world wasn't smart. He started with drinking wine to try to make himself happy. Can you imagine? He's got the calling of God, the wisdom of God, the glory of God, the servants of God. He's got the whole known world in admiration of what God's doing in his life. And he says, well, I'm going to drink and see if that makes me happy. Amazing, just absolutely amazing what he started to do. And did he know that this beginning of backsliding was going to take him to the place of building heathen temples in the nation of God? ======================================================================== Video: https://sermonindex2.b-cdn.net/WEcTWVfk51w.mp4 Source: https://sermonindex.net/speakers/carter-conlon/drinking-was-the-beginning-of-solomons-downfall/ ========================================================================
