Pastors of some of the largest evangelical churches in America met Tuesday in Inglewood to polish strategies for starting 5 million new churches worldwide in 10 years, an effort they say they hope will hasten the End Time. The Rapture and Second Coming of Jesus have always been the ultimate goal of evangelicalism. But when that would occur was any Christian's guess. The Global Pastors Network's "Billion Souls Initiative" aims to shorten the path to Judgment Day by partnering church resources with the latest communications systems to spread the Gospel of Jesus.

brethrenthe fact that the idea is to hasten the rapture/endtimes says to me this is not born of the Spirit of God but of the enemy. The Lord will not be compelled to do anything other than what He has already decided to do. While the gospel must be spread indeed, the purpose if for the salvation of souls and not for a quick exit to heaven. i am becoming more and more convinced that the idea of the Church being raptured unscathed if a lie of the enemy. When trouble comes to the Church as it will soon, many will be disillusioned as they look for a rapture which will not come right away (probably will contribute to the falling away perhaps?) but after the Church has endured some persecution. let us gird ourselves for the worst lest the worst come and find us unprepared.AMEN.
