KILGORE JR. COLLEGE

Today we preached in the free speech square of Kilgore Jr. College.

Starting at 11:00am we lifted up our voices like trumpets and preached against sin.

Once a man came out with a homemade sign against us, "THESE MEN AREN'T CHRISTIANS" a nice crowd gathered, ranging from 15 up to 30 people, and we were able to preach to them for 4 hours.

Jesse, I truly thank God for you and your obedience to Him despite the raging resistance put up by the enemy. You are in my prayers.

Hey, maybe it's just the first time of me noticing it, but what's with the dress attire? Why the change from your more casual clothes to looking more spiffy? I feel bad now, sometimes I go preach without having shaved in a couple days :)

Dressing nice is good on college campuses because it's professional. Open air preaching is my profession. These students are hearing from professors, and if we go out there with a t-shirt and jeans or shorts, it doesn't demand the amount of respect nice clothing does.

It also sets you apart from the students, and thereby brings more attention to yourself and causes more interest in what you are doing.

Im glad to see that you are going out preaching with another person.Jesus did send them out two by two.A three strand chord is not quickly broken the scripture says.And it's easier to get back up when you have someone else with you.It's probably more effective that way and when one gets tired of preaching the other one can take over.Plus your probably more able to do one on one that way.
Why was the police officer writing you up?Did I miss something?

University of Texas, Tyler says that you must get sponsorship from a student organization to preach on their campus. There are already lawsuits in the works by other preachers over that policy that all the UT schools have.

Stephen F. Austin said we just needed to go and get a permit and we did, but it looks like the place they said we can preach at it out in the middle of the woods where nobody is. We'll see what it's like on Monday, because that is when the permit is for.

I know from trying to create my own CU in a college. UCCF is the organisation even thou I do not completly agree with them on everything!!
I do not know what the american equivilant is.
I used to bring my bible into every lecture,the thing that I came agaist was the Equal opputunities policy.

If god is with you should have complete freedom on that campus and god is with you. As being a university student myself, I think everyone needs to hear what you have to say.

We just found where the main cafe is on the Stephen F. Austin campus. And the main entrance is on a public town road. So if the free speech area turns out to be a dud, which is looks like it's in the middle of no where away from campus, then we will try the public road with the cafe. We will be at SFU until Friday.
