| Good Songs... | | I know that everyone may have worship songs that really bring them into an attitude of worship or praise. I have several, and will probably post many more later. ButI am always looking for good christian worship songs. I like to worship alone in my dorm (with my guitar), and I am always looking for good worship songs! So if you have any suggestions -- I would greatly appreciate it!
"Shout to the LORD" "I will search for you" "I'd rather have Jesus" (Dallas Holm version) "The Love of God" "My All in All" (Bob Fitts version) "Take me in to the Holy of Holies" "Jesus, Draw Me Close" "O' Lord, You're Beautiful" (Keith Green -- the 'new' live original version) "Purify My Heart" "I Need You More" "Oh Lord, Your Tenderness" (Bob Fitts) "His Love" (Andy Park) "Show Me Your Face" "Breathe" (Vineyard UK) "Hold Me Jesus" (Rich Mullins) "If I Stand" (Rich Mullins)
I like hymns too, but they are difficult to find on CD.
Any suggestions?

I like the songs you mentioned above but I really like hymns so much better. The problem is its hard to find good hymns sung earnestly and simply.

| Re: Good Songs... | | I'm not certain what the name of this song is (I imagine its called "Purify my Heart", but I really like the words:
Purify my heart. Touch me with your cleansing fire. Take me to the cross. Your holiness is my desire. Breathe new life in me. Kindle the love that flows from your thrown. Purify my heart! Purify my heart!
I know that there is a version found at: http://www.freedwings.com/purify.html

| Re: | | Greg:
Could you compile on one download a number of songs that we could put on one cd?

| Re: | | 1."Open the Eyes of My Heart Lord". 2."We Worship You" Hallelujah! Hallelujah! For who You are. 3."Hallelujah" 4." Holy Spirit Thou art Welcome in this place" 5. "Come Thy Fount of Every Blessing" and many other hymn book songs.
One song I remember from a long time ago, never quite made the Broadman Hymnal. But since there's a possibility that Chris is an A&M student, he may have heard it. :-D 6." Drop Kick Me Jesus Through The Goalposts Of Life". :-o Bobby Bare sang THAT'n about 1976. 8-) Clutch :-P _________________ Howard McNeill

That was pretty funny, Clutch! Hey...I attend Texas A&M Kingsville -- not Texas A&M College Station. So we are not Aggies, we are "javelinas." :)
But thanks for the suggestion! I haven't heard that song -- but I will whip out the ol' hymnal and see if I can play it on the guitar or piano.
Keep the faith...and keep it strong!

| Re: | | This probably belongs in another forum, but that song was probably written by an "infralapsarian", much to the chagrin of every "supralapsarian" at Baylor. :-D Because one of the most moving lines in the ballad says: "I've got the WILL Lord if you've got the toe". :-o I was in another forum today and stumbled over the "I" word, and "S" word. I looked them up, and STILL don't know what they mean. Clutch ;-) _________________ Howard McNeill

| Re: | | When I survey the wondrous cross On which the Prince of glory died, My richest gain I count but loss, And pour contempt on all my pride.
Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast, Save in the death of Christ my God! All the vain things that charm me most, I sacrifice them to His blood.
See from His head, His hands, His feet, Sorrow and love flow mingled down! Did eer such love and sorrow meet, Or thorns compose so rich a crown?
His dying crimson, like a robe, Spreads oer His body on the tree; Then I am dead to all the globe, And all the globe is dead to me.
Were the whole realm of nature mine, That were a present far too small: Love so amazing, so divine, Demands my soul, my life, my all _________________ Mark Nash
