"Lean all on Jesus. Pray for a time of the pouring-out of God's Spirit, that many more may be saved. I hope the Lord's work is not done in this place yet." -Robert Murray McCheyne

2 Peter 2:15 (niv) - They have left the straight way and wandered off to follow the way of Balaam son of Beor, who loved the wages of wickedness.Hmm just wondering about 'left the straight way'.. Does that mean that they were once saved and following God??and also this following verse implies they knew 'the way of salvation.'2 Peter 2:21 (niv) - It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them.Micah 5:5 (niv) - And he will be their peace. What a wonderful verse to meditate on.. Jesus is our peace ever abiding and constant in a world of shifting and change.Luke 13:23-24 (niv) - Someone asked him, "Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?" He said to them, "Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.Make every effort - not that we can achive salvation by our own effort and works, but God gives use the conviction and leading by His Spirit, we have to hear and not only hear but obey!
