This is a good sign for Christianity in Vietnam. In China, Chairman Mao's wife said that Christianity was dead in China. The opposite has been the case but the cost has been many lives. What will happen in the West when true believers are persecuted for their faith? I'm too frightened to even pray about this because the state of the church (much of it anyway) is in such a woeful state.

One of the most riviting books I ever read was "Tortured for Christ" by Richard Wurmbrand. He tells of his horrific experiences tortured under the communists and how believers still expressed the love of Christ towards those who tortured them.

Another encouraging, and awesome piece of scripture on this is the first section of James, 1:2-4."Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking in anything."Grace and Peace...
