| Re: | | Krispy,
There are only four verses in the entire Bible that use the word antichrist:
1 John 2:18 Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour.
1 John 2:22 Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichristhe denies the Father and the Son.
1 John 4:3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. 2 John 1:7 Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.
And these passages, especially the first, refer to antichrists from John's time.
Moreover, according to John, in saying "even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour" and "even now is already in the world." the endtimes should have occured 2000 years ago.
Where do you get the notion that a single antichrist is to come at the end times?

The thing you're missing is that many "believers" will be duped into beliving the anti-Christ IS the second coming of Jesus Christ.
There only three types of believers:
The Believers The Make Believers and The Unbelievers
There is only one group that I see enduring anything and that is the first group. The rest either gets in with the groove or be cut off.

Good point Bubba.
John said, 2000 years ago, that THEE antichrist was already in the world, AND that, in his day, was the last hour, NOT last days, but the last HOUR.
In the theological realm and amongst scholars this verse is an embarressment to the bible. How long is an hour. Because the Church world is saying that it still needs to come to pass, yet John must have been senile in his old age.
According to the Apostle, 1 day is as 1000 years to the LORD and a 1000 years is as one day. How many years is 1 hour?
I am not stupid, I know what John was saying, he wasn't using a literal numerical hour, but was sharing to his readers the season in which they were living, hence the hour.
For example Jesus said, "The hour is come and NOW is".
Think on this, the Church so believes that an antichrist will appear, they believe it with all their heart, is it possible that that which is believed will come into existance, "Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen".
Notice this, "God gave them their request, but sent leaness to their soul".
My people are looking to an antichrist, but they are not looking to me their one true love, their turtledove.
Job even said, the thing that I feared has come upon me.

| Re: | | Revelation does speak about a false prophet for like 3 times:
(Rev 16:13) And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
(Rev 19:20) And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet doing signs before it, (by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast), and those who had worshiped his image. The two were thrown alive into the Lake of Fire burning with brimstone.
(Rev 20:10) And the Devil who deceived them was cast into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet were . And he will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
Perhaps people see this 'guy' as the antichrist? Or if you would check on scripture in 1 John, we could say that this 'false prophet' is one of the many antichrists. (But a major one in that day) _________________ Jonathan Veldhuis

Everything outside of the kingdom of God is in satan's kingdom... Sodom.
I have a problem believing that Satan even has a kingdom. Consider this verse for a moment.
"Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth."
Even if Satan were to have a kingdom that kingdom would be under the jursidiction of the King of kings Jesus Christ, because all power has been given to the Son, " That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth." Philippians 2:10.
The story of Job about Satan coming before God etc..etc.. no longer applies today, because Satan lost that right to come before God, because the accuser of the brethern has been cast down, "Revelation 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night."
Now compare that verse with this verse, "John 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out."
Notice the word NOW is in the present tense in Jesus day.
and this verse, " Luke 10:17-18 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven."
I'll let you come to your own conclusions.

Karl,
Allow me the following illustration:
A man puts on a glove and picks up a cup. Who's holding the cup? The man, or the glove?
I have a bigger problem with christians being intimidated by satan "having a kingdom". Of course he has a kingdom. The world is in the sway of the evil one.
However, satan is, and always will be a puppet in the hands of God. His punishment for rebellion is the same as ours: Being given over to our lusts. Satan has a kingdom, however satan is under Christ's dominion, therefore satan's kingdom is a "subsidiary of God's kingdom", sceduled for disposal on Judgement Day.
By the way, the purpose for the alanogy was to compare the hand with God, and the glove with satan.
Again, no need to be intimidated, by satan having a kingdom. Just allow him to think he's in control. After all, there is a funny side to him leading us into sin, so that we can repent (ie. the joke is on him).
Although, realise he is still our enemy, even if he is no match for Christ, and we still need to be "sober and vigilant" knowing that our "adversary, the devil prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking whomever he may devour".
Peace. _________________ Aaron Ireland
