My history professor at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Dr Garth Rosell, recently said in class that it is estimated that during the 7 trips George Whitefield made to colonies in America, that at least 80% of the population heard him preach open-air at least once. Absolutely amazing.

And yet people still threw dead cats at him, others blew trumpets to drown out his voice, and even church goers thought he was a lunatic. May we be so in love with Christ that nothing else matters and be considered an equal "fool" with Whitfield!
