I am riding next to the apostle Paul. We are the ones that look like maniacs.

 I hope that was a joke, Brother David ;-)
But yes, we'll be there - by the grace of God...
I haven't followed this thread very closely but there have been some great posts here.
Who is Jesus? He is King of Kings, lord of Lords, highest of kings on the earth, far above all powers, thrones and authorities. His kingdom has no end, and goes on increasing for ever (Isaiah9:7) Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end...
He is the Beloved of the Father, always with the Father from eternity, through whom the worlds were made.
He is God become man, emptying Himself of the power and the glory, humbling Himself as only God can, (Philippians 2). Yet as God He remained and remains with the Father, sharing the rule and authority, at the same time.
Thus Jesus, God's salvation, Emmanuel, God with us, came to us - from infinite greatness to a "helpless", hated, despised, abused victim of His own creation, His great work made even harder by the taunts, "If you are the Son of God come down from the cross...save yourself and us".
Little did they know that saving us was exactly what He was doing by not coming down from the Cross!
Do we imagine that "mere" omnipotence, omniscience, omnipresence are the key, "defining characteristics" of God (those which make Him God, those which make Him far above His creation)? No, for He is even greater than that. His love and humility are even greater than His power, though His power is infinite!
1Cor 1:25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
By this He defeated Satan; through the "foolishness and weakness" of God He conquered! Only God Himself had the power to become so foolish and weak! Man is too proud, too lacking in love and moral strength, too full of self...
Jesus not only wears the "many diadems" as King over the whole universe, but He now wears the victor's crown also (Greek "Stephanos" - the wreath given to a triumphant conqueror in battle, or a winner in the Games.)
And to Him, at the end, every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess that He is Lord of all.
AMEN and AMEN!

| Re: | | Who is Jesus?
He is the poor, the maimed, the broken and downhearted.
He's the fatherless, the widow.
He's the one's that nobody wants.
He's the hungry, the thirsty, the naked.
He's the sick, and the one thats in prison.
He's you and me.
