 Relief/help to New Orleans

Do any of you know a church or Christian group that is going or has gone to New Orleans or other parts that were hit by Hurricane Katrina to help out there?

I heard one of the Heads of The Salvation Army last night, almost in tears, wanting to get in to help.

At the time, the water levels were/are high.

Knowing what I do of them, and then 'other' "relief org.s", I'd say, The Salvation Army is a safe place to give to.

You may want to look at their website for instructions or something for that area.

I do not know of any churches or religious groups going, but we have The Moody Methodist Church in Galveston Texas that is accepting evacuees along with others who need shelter and food. Please pass the word. It is located on 53rd Street and Avenue U.
