Time to Get Serious, Leonard Ravenhill Sermon Excerpts. Source?

Beloved,

After listening to 'Time To Get Serious' from fireonthealtar.com, I was struck again by the passion of one of my spiritual heroes, Leonard Ravenhill. Can you please point me to the sermons where I can find the following quotes? Thank you, for these sermons will be passed onto our brothers and sisters who are in need of fuel for the fight!

God bless,

Des

Leonard Ravenhill excerpts from 'Time to Get Serious'.

"Can you drink of the cup? We're able. So they drank and they were crucified."

"We have all the equipment, we've more Bibles, more translations of the Bible."

"We're preaching an acceptable Gospel today."

"I'm glad He died for me, have you died for Him?"

"Why should the world take us seriously, when we don't take God seriously."

"Stand up, sit down, sing a song."

"Our pulpits are full of dead men preaching dead sermons to dead people."

"Painless Pentecost. There isn't such a thing."

"We have no passion, we have no brokeness"

"Do you really want to be more like Jesus? Then fast for forty days and forty nights."

Hi Des

i believe most of the quotes are in his sermon "Are We Willing To Drink His Cup"

And it is sure a powerful compilation! :-)

Hi Des,

Here I am :-)

I used the following sermons to create this compilation:

Leonard Ravenhill
"Are we willing to drink His cup?"
"Are we longing for repentance?"

AW Tozer
"In everything by prayer"

David Wilkerson
"Sharing the grief of God"

Keith Daniel
"Absolute Surrender"

"But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ." (Gal 1:11-12)

...not according to man...

Men can make heart-stirring and strong statements, only Jesus can change the heart. May we be drawn to the heart of Christ more and more.

I don't want to be "out-of-line" with modern-day Christianity. I desire to follow Jesus and live my life for Him...and that results in the fact that I am "out-of-line" with it. However...that's not my focus. My eyes are on Jesus. Let our eyes be on Him.

In Christ alone,

Paul

 Re:

DezCall,

Thank you for your quick response. I have been blessed by your humble offerings to the Lord. In a time where uncompromising, Holy Spirit fueled preaching is in rare supply, I thank God for these Sold Out Soldiers in the Lord's Army. Have you done any other compilations akin to 'Time To Get Serious'?

_Disciple_ Thank you and God Bless You!

8 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God, 9 who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began, - 2 Tim. 1:8-9, ESV
