To proclaim the name of Christ to be the cover and mark of most of these events makes a sound man sick.
Even to some of us who are not all that 'sound'.

Twisted, distorted, hysteria.
It is a sickening sadness.

To assert that the spirituality displayed, spirituality it is, in many of these conferences belongs to the prophetic realm makes a praying man cry.
Word's that have 'new' meaning poured into them; Prophet, Apostle, Anointing, Prophetic realm, now bring a sense of repulsiveness, a cause for alarm the way they are carelessly and flippantly bandied about. Worse, many don't seem to even care, don't want to put to the test if it is even biblical..Good grief, you would think that the unbelievers of this world must think that Christians are uneducated fool's, following a fantasy dreamed up in their vain minds. Christ name is being dragged through the mud and we are supposed to tolorate this? Nonsense. There is no defending this, if this dosen't put a queasy feeling in your gut, bring tears to your eyes...Lord, help us.

| Re: jouko post | | Thank you sdb. My intention wasn't to go, it was just to get a discussion about the outside of The Book extracurricular activities going on and expanding. My own opinion is the same as yours, run. If the danger is due south, as in this case, turn due north, or even better, turn your eyes upon Jesus and never let go. _________________ Jouko Hakola

| Re: MY Bad so to speak | | My apologies Jouko, i made the mistake of reading from the tail end of the forum and assumed you were for this movement. Lately it has been my understanding that their is a greater deception at work in the Kingdom, I plan on starting a new thread in this topic as soon as I get my thoughts together.....time is truely short and there is a lion looking for whom he may devour.... |

| Re: New "Apostolic" Reformation | | "Does anyone here have any more insight to what it is all about?"
In one word: control. I came out of a Third Day/Third Wave/Word of Faith/Apostolic church (all interelated concepts, all tenets of the Latter Rain Heresy of the 1940's).
I would strongly suggest that you, actually ALL Christians look at the links posted here and become more familiar with the Latter Rain heresy. It is literally sweeping over the church to the point that Christianity is being REDEFINED in our generation (one of their admitted goals). I am not alone in believing that this heresy is leading to the apostasy that Christ warned about and is designed to bring us into a One World Church system, marrying the "New Order" Church of the Third Day to the Roman Catholic Church. Bill Hamon (an "Apostolic Reformation" leader), for instance says that the future of the church is in the European Union and looks forward to the European superstate overwhelming the United States. Andrew Shearman tells Christians should they be offered to take a mark or chip implant, to just go ahead and take it because it doesn't affect Christians.
Even more disturbing, when one digs deep into their theology, you find the teaching that the "Overcomers" (those of the New Order church) will be God's instrument to bring His judgements upon the earth and the "Bible Christians" who refuse to submit will be driven into the wilderness to be disciplined by their "rod of iron." Those who rebel will be executed.
I know that's a lot of deep stuff for one to consider, but believe me, this is not some isolated cult. The majority of charismatic churches today are following this theology (ever hear the term "five-fold ministry"?) but most, not all, are ignorant of the theology's more sinister roots. Anyway, all I can't stress this more, if you ever find yourself in a church teaching this stuff: RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!

BTW, I consider myself "charismatic" in the Biblical sense of the word, so I am not just on some anti-charismatic rant. This is something all TRUE Christians must recognize and expose as error; Charismatic Christians should be taking the lead in this rather than circling the wagons (as, unfortunately, most of us are doing). _________________ Carlton McLemore

Funny. I wrote my reply before I read yours... we gave the same admonition. Amen. _________________ Carlton McLemore
