I once saw a teaching by a man who ministered in our church one weekend. He moved in the prophetic and was very affirming and edifying and got into nothing outlandish. But he gave this teaching, "Pruning the Prophetic," somewhere else and I never have been able to get a copy of it. He is a recognized "prophet" today. Even back then many years ago, he realized a need for the prophetic to be pruned. I don't know if he meant in the individual lives of believers or in the movemant as a whole. But I was wondering.Do you think the prophetic, in individual lives and movements, needs to be pruned? If so, pruned from what? How would this pruning be done and what would the pruning consist of? Pruning away what?

Maybe your statement that he did not get into anything outlandish answers your question. Severe pruning of outlandishness and silliness needs to be done by the likes of Sid Roth and Elijah’s List.
