 Multi Faith Prayer Rooms

Hi sermonindexers - currently traveling back home to sunny Aberdeen. In London's Heathrow airport tried to find a quite spot and found a Multi Faith Prayer Room..

Let's be honest this was not a Multi Faith prayer room this was a mosque, never the less I went in lifted my hand's spoke to my God as I am entitled to pray there as well and that what I did in front of all the Muslims that were in there praying.

I can tell you God's precence was with me there just as much when I am at home in my prayer closet in my house.

I want to encourage everyone if your traveling take these places back for Christ. Be respectful, be kind and seek peace with all men, but go in and start taking our nations back for Christ.

 Re: Multi Faith Prayer Rooms

Brother, how can you have fellowship with Muslims that are worshipping another god?

2 Corinthians 6:14-18 KJV

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore Come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, And touch not the unclean thing; And I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, And ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

 Re:

Brother Colin, praise the Lord for you following the prompting of the Spirit to go into that space to pray.

Brother Mike, I’ve always thought about being yoked together with an unbeliever in the context of marriage, or business partnership, but never for simply praying in the same space as someone who is Muslim.

I am curious why you used this passage in this context?

With love for both of you dear brothers! ❤️🙌🙏

 Re:

Mike don't worry I was not fellowshipping with those of other faiths. I was in a what they called a multi faith prayer which had been surrendered to Islam and used as a mosque.

I went in didn't take of my shoes, as it not a mosque and raised mu hands to my God and spoke to him in the tounges of Angels.

As I said earlier God presence was right there with me.

I later went back and took some pictures, and wrote a email to the Chaplin and mentioned that prayer mats should be tided away after use as this was not a mosque

For me it's about reclaiming what has been surrendered, I want to see these places filled with CHristians that are on fire for God.

 Re:

It is one thing if there are Christians worshipping the Lord in this Mosque, but christians should not be worshipping the Lord with unconverted Muslims, that are praising their god Allah. There is a movement called Chrislam in which Christians and Muslims worship together, believing that they are worshipping the same God. Rick Warren is involved in this movement. This is very much in line with the false church rising up in the last days,
where false religions along with Christians will worship together.

 Re:

Hi Colin,

Mike is right.

It would be great to have the multifaith room for Christians only but in reality, that is not the case and it will never happen.
Going to the multifaith room is like going to the Hindu temple or Buddhist temple or whatever temple.
The verse Mike mentioned is relevant and we are to be holy.
When Christ Jesus returns, He will be the one that destroys the world order and He will reign on high. All we need to do is trust and hope in Christ Jesus.

God bless you

 Re:

Would Jesus walk into a mosque? Would Jesus pray in the presence of muslims?

Did Jesus go to where the sinners are?

Surely you know I'm asking rhetorical questions there.

What Colin did is very different than a professing christian sharing a stage with a muslim where both preach a message or "minister" together, stating agreement with each other. Colin is not doing that (I don't think).

Of course we would not want to promote islam, which in no way is Colin doing by praying in a room at an airport.

The whole earth is the Lords and everything in it. Wherever we are in the Spirit (physically), Christ Jesus is.

That means (assuming Colin was following the leading of the Spirit and abiding in the Spirit by faith), that he was literally the body fo Christ on earth in that prayer room for such a time as this.

 Re:

Amen Caleb.

Also, in addition to your rhetorical questions, the scripture posted is also Paul asking a series of rhetorical questions. What Paul is saying is that they don't have fellowship, it's impossible.

The fellowship we share as believers is fellowship together with Jesus. It's impossible to find fellowship with an unbeliever, because our fellowship is with God. We don't find find "fellowship with one another" in the sense most people seem to think (our fellowship is not potlucks and church services, or time in the "fellowship hall"), we are together in fellowship with God, and we gather together to share that.

With that in mind, I could walk into a satanic gathering and kneel in prayer, and even discuss things with them after I finish, and never once come into fellowship with them, unless of course they were born again somewhere in that time, and than of course, we would together find fellowship with Jesus.

Cliches are the bane of the church, and fellowship has sadly fallen into that vein.

And also, marriage has little to do with being yoked together with an unbeliever. Paul said to remain in the situation we were called, because the unbelieving spouse may be saved by the believing spouse. Be careful to not let men interpret what the Bibles interpreted for us.

I was recently convicted in the lines of those verses and had to switch jobs as a result. I don't drive and depend on the Lord providing my way. Well, the Holy Spirit spoke to me and asked what would happen if that person driving me needed something or asked me to do something that contradicted my Father's will? Well I would have to submit or lose my ride to work, and therefore my job.

That is unequally yoked, depending on unbelievers for things that our Father has promised and will provide. And yes, I get the inconsistency with working a job and this view. But as Abraham, I go out every morning without a clue where I am going, and right now, my Father sends me to a job as His perfect will, and if my employer asks me to contradict the will of God, than I will say good bye to that employer.
